Suzy, I think you nailed it right on the head.... There certainly seems to be a parallel between creativity, drama and the dual diagnosis of mental illness and drug use... Just look at all the "greats" who have succumbed to early passings from music careers laced with drug overdoses..... Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrisson, to name just a few. And I'm not even mentioning all those who are currently "courting" the behavior..... of which, sadly, Ms. Winehouse is included.....

I really like Gabriella Cilmi, and even though she keeps getting compared to Amy, she still isn't Amy.

I watched her on Glastonbury on BBC, and I thought she seemed a lot better!

So true! She was bad, but not nearly as bad as I expected. She did the "I have to pee" dance move again where she pulls her skirt up, and she missed half the lyrics, but she didn't fall down. Since she just left the hospital last week I really did expect her to leave the stage halfway through.

When she grabbed the mike and ran down the catwalk to the other little part of the stage for the second song I just thought "OMG! Don't fall! That's too much movement for you!"

Edit: oops... I'm talking about the 46664 concert... are we talking about the same thing?

Amy Winehouse returned borrowed designer dresses covered in vomit.
The troubled star had been loaned several posh frocks from Harvey Nichols department store but landed herself with a £25,000 bill after throwing up on them and allowing green mould to grow before sending them back.
The silk and satin garments were beyond salvation.
A source said: “While wearing one of the frocks, she went on an all-night bender. She ended up in the loos, where she was violently sick. Let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.
"“She eventually couriered them back on Monday, but didn’t wrap them separately. So sick had gone on all the clothes.
"Even worse, green, furry mould had developed on some gowns, making them unwearable."
Harvey Nichols is said to be furious after receiving the soiled package and demanded the full value of the outfits.
The outlet sent the clothes for Amy to wear over London Fashion Week, but the Back to Black singer kept a low-profile at the event.
The source added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: "They send stuff out to celebs all the time, but it never gets into such a state.
"I doubt Amy will be sent any more designer gear for a while."

Could Amy Winehouse Make a Comeback ?

That's what BBC is reporting that the chairman and chief executive of Universal Music Group has to say.

Winehouse comeback 'sensational'
Amy Winehouse's new material is sounding "sensational", according to the chairman and chief executive of Universal Music Group, Lucian Grange

He believes the troubled singer will make a strong comeback with her new album, the follow-up to Back To Black.

"What I've heard has been sensational," he said, speaking at the Music Industry Trust Awards in London.

Grange was honoured with the Music Industry Trust Award, recognising 30 years in the music business.

The Award was established in 1991 and was awarded at a charity event supporting the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and the Brit School, for his contribution to the industry.

I believe in her as a person and I certainly believe in her as an artist and that's what I hope for

"I've heard some demos," Grange explained to BBC 6 Music, "and I've heard some simple acoustic songs that she's played me in my office on acoustic guitar."

He said he has absolute faith in her return to form, saying: "Of course, because I'm an optimist and I believe in her."

"I believe in her as a person and I certainly believe in her as an artist and that's what I hope for."

Winehouse is currently working on a new studio album, the first since 2006.
