I'm not a huge fan of Guns n' Roses, but I like a few of their songs.

I must say that I saw Slash recently in either a Guitar Hero or Rock Band commercial, and he looked good! Then again I am constantly getting crushes on men much older than me. I can't help it.

Well, the best T. Rex starter album in my opinion is "Electric Warrior," which was their breakout one. Guaranteed to make you dance. It's when the band made the full on transition to rock, but there is still the lyric mysticism from when they were called Tyrannosaurus Rex and was a psychedelic-acoustic-hippie rock type thing. (I actually love Tyrannosaurus Rex albums probably more than T. Rex but they are not everyone's thing... gorgeous though. Like early Pink Floyd but more poppy-rocky, and literary.) After that there's "The Slider" which is just full of very well-polished pop tunes, very raucous and playful, but some with a sad tinge. I also like "Dandy in the Underworld," which came much later, but provides a nice contrast/variation--it's darker and worldlier.

If you want to go back and try some of the folkier stuff, you can also get "T. Rex"--the first album they recorded under the new name they called the same thing--it's folkier but still rocks. :punk:

Ohh I was younger then and had no fear .. we got there mid day ish and just pushed our way to the front of the queue , now U2 in Scotland a couple years agao I queued (without pushing in) from 11 in the morning and was in the first 4,000 .

Since 1991 I'm a big guns n' roses' fan. I drove my parents mad because of that. I wanted to have everything they released... like I'm now with Mika =)

Just discovered this thread, and OHHHHH, the memories!

I was in LOVE with AXL!! I saw Sweet Child 0'Mine on MTV and my eyes bugged out of my head when he moved and I was insane! over him.

Yes Axl is back but without Slash, Gn'R is no more Gn'R for me....

I used to be a huge fan when I was younger (a long long time ago:naughty:....), I went to a gig in Nancy in France in 1993....

I heard a few song of the new album but....I don't know.... Something's gone....well Slash's gone which makes a big difference actually..... Anyway I'm not fond of what Slash is doing with Velvet Revolver either....

I own all of G 'N' R's albums.... well apart from the new one.... I don't have that yet.... I didn't get into them though until 1990... I had a lodger who was a huge fan of theirs and he used to play them all the time..... They are amazing though.... :wub2:

I love the old lineup (the one with Slash) but im more into the new one... Like the new sound.

Wish that the old gnr would just get together for 1 show but im 120% sure that will never ever happen. The only 2 from back then who is still working together is Axl and Dizzy (keyboard)
Im a fan of em. Wont say huge fan except for one of the members who is now a "friend" of mine and i have the "hots" for. And a mod. on a gnr forums. Can be a hell sometimes to keep more than 21.000 members under control :roftl:
