I don't know if you saw the new miley cyrus video (if you live in canada or in the us you should have.. it's always on tv) but I noticed that what she was wearing was like totally mika's kind of style... she got the hole red trousers, white shirt, and braces going on.. take a look at it yourself

When I first saw that video on tv I noticed the red pants and the braces.

I figured it meant that the braces trend finally hit the US. If it hadn't before it probably has now. : P

The only people I see wearing braces around here are older men. There was a guy on my college campus who wore rainbow colored ones. No clue who he was though, definitely wasn't a professor.

This has nothing to do with her style, she annoys me soooo much.

But mainly I feel bad for her, because no matter what she does...she'll always be Hannah Montana... It must be difficult making a career out of a fake character... She has talent, but I think she bad a mistake in going for fame so young... her childhood has been robbed from her... Every other day she's being black mailed or exploited with pictures of her showing a not so "christian" persona...

It's gotta be tough, but she annoys be regardless lol

Same here, that's what I was worried about. We can hope that we'll finally have a teen star who grows up and doesn't get involved with that type of stuff.

I can't remember where I heard it from but I guess her and her dad are going to be in a movie and there was a car scene where they didn't wear their seat belts. The people who were talking about this said that she could have worn it to make a good impression on younger people... but gosh. I wouldn't look at a celeb and be like, "oh hey so-and-so isn't wearing a seat belt that's cool I want to be just like them." I suppose a lot of people are like that though over silly things like that. :doh:

I don't think she dresses that much like Mika in the video, but then I don't know the state of U.S. fashion, because bright trousers and braces have been and gone about fifty times over here this year, so it all depends on whether it's the 'in thing' in the U.S. at the moment or not. Blegh, braces are horrid. Or maybe I just don't like them at the moment cos last week I was sitting on the floor, got up, must have stood on my braces, started walking and they pinged me right on my bum and I swear, it was one of the most painful things in the world, EVER.

it bugs me that she doesn't actually sing in concert though, and that she's very cliché and boring:thumbdown:

Actually, I saw her in concert and it sounded like it was live to me.

Yeah, that's how his was haha. It was funny how he was trying to be all cool with the fact that he had to shave. He's the guy that I've called "loser" and "freak" so many times that he would respond to it. Actually, I saw her in concert and it sounded like it was live to me.

She's a really talented entertainer and I was impressed.

that would be sooo cool!! the only wax museum I went to, was during a school trip to the one in new york...it is crazy how the wax statues look real!!!

oh there is no doubt she has talent, she has a good voice, but she does lip synch concerts. She records it beforehand and lip syncs, so it is her singing, just not then. I prefer actual live singing. Anyways, i've heard many times before that disney makes their stars lip sync in concerts as well so it could be a contract thing as well.
i also have a thing for singer/songwriters as well.

Actually I know now for a fact that she doesn't lip sync during concerts. For the tv performances on her show she may, but in real concerts she doesn't. I just saw her with my sister yesterday and now I'm quite sure for a few reasons.

Back in 1985 I wore braces (didn't call them that, suspenders here)
They were crimson colored with gold clasps and adjuster slips.
I was 15.
It just added to my visual weirdness. I was one of the two students voted Most Indivdualistic in high school and I did it was home made clothes/outfits.

I was getting ready to say, that was a big Fashion thingy in the US in the 80's and so were the skinny ties...lol...

I LOVED THE 80's and I loved my Big hair....lol...

As for the video, I think she is a darling girl, and my daughters love her and yes I watch Hanna Montana, but the Emphasis on the breast movement were not for her age...lol... I loved the outfit though...lol... :punk: :punk:
