I thought it would be nice to dedicate a thread to each of Mika’s band, they are so fabulous and talented in their own right! :punk:

It will also help when they are lurking on the fanclub (because we all know they do!), to see all our wonderful comments about them! :groupwave:

Wasted a university education by becoming a bass player... did the usual... played for free (or drinks), signed on every 2 weeks, got drunk with mates, whined on about the music industry, acted superior because I played jazz fusion, played gigs in front of 3 people (but still had a rock n roll attitude) and waxed lyrical to girls about how I was too busy to have a relationship as I had to concentrate on my "art"! Life was simple but soooo much fun...................

Mikey's the only one I haven't been able to speak to yet ... altho I think we saw him hurrying down the street while we were waiting outside The Cockpit at Leeds, before the gig last Wednesday.

We are sure it was Mikey (and who was the other one, with the hat on, was it Marti? Hmmmmm, not sure ) and they looked as tho they were looking for somewhere/someone ... they were pulling their suitcases behind them.

Hurrah for Mikey! I have been trying to spread the Mikey love on gabbly, but they all insist on talking about bloody Mika. A few days ago I even tried to declare it official let's-talk-about-Mikey chat, but Christine objected that it wasn't fair of me to pout whenever anyone talked of anybody else.

That said, I sent him a message asking about the best approach to pelt him with plushies, and he has not responded, so maybe I should reconsider my Mikey love.

do you recall Mikey Picking up the cowbell previously thrown by mika while Mika had just said "What the hell am I gunna use THIS for?!"
and while an acoustic version of Holy Johnny was being played
( 95% sure it was holy johnny),
a song that he wasnt at the time playing in, picks up the cowbell and starts playing it. it doesnt sound NEARLY as funny as it was, but everyone there thought it was hystericallll, It was mint, He clearly is awesome.

New Tour!!

Well.... a new tour and chapter kicks off on the mighty Mika extravaganza! Seems like yesterday we were begging people to come in to see our show at Nice n Sleazy in Glasgow (wait a minute... maybe it was yesterday?!!).

The crowds are bigger and so the show is bigger! We are lucky to have added Sara Skeete to our family! An amazing singer who is probably one of the most nicest people I've had the pleasure to share a bus with! Well.... a new tour and chapter kicks off on the mighty Mika extravaganza! Seems like yesterday we were begging people to come in to see our show at Nice n Sleazy in Glasgow (wait a minute... maybe it was yesterday?!!).

The crowds are bigger and so the show is bigger! We are lucky to have added Sara Skeete to our family! An amazing singer who is probably one of the most nicest people I've had the pleasure to share a bus with! A sweet and shy lady who's personality is shining on stage... all thanks to our maestro Mika!

Hehe, yesterday we did the same - singing ya ya ya ya ya - when he came along in a van. He filmed Mika who was signing and recieving gifts from fans and then he noticed us on the other side of the road, opened the door of the van and we had a little talk with him.
