I was thinking this could be a thread for news pertaining to North American events........ ??? Not to leave anyone out... just so we can post news we here and know right where to go for info. Maybe there are even a few USA fans on here from the same part of the country??? I know there are a few in Montreal.

So for instance here are two shows I know of in the US:

3/25 - The Troubador Los Angeles, CA
3/29 - Grammercy Theater New York, NY

I apologize if these are posted already.....

Also does anyone have any info. on the Saturday Night Live date, etc.?

Please comment as to whether this is a good idea or not.....

Humpfree, NYC still available....... and look into Austin for the SXSW. I looked and it would take you about 20 hours to drive but didnt' you say your mom was going to fly you to CA??? Austin would be way more intimate.

good idea! Mika is also playing at the Coachella in Indio California, near Palm Springs on April 29, This should be great, so many amazing bands and performers in addition to Mika as well.

All I know is what I posted under another topic -- that Mika is supposed to be on the Jay Leno show on March 26, and on March 29: Good Morning, America (on ABC). He's also supposed to be on Jimmy Kimmel Live on the 29th, but I don't know how he can be there and also be in New York for his show that same night... the timing's too tight.

But still no word on any other US dates. There's supposed to be a CD release party at a club in Boston, but they don't actually say that Mika will be there for it... That's supposed to be on March 30 at a place called the Club Cafe... I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for some show in the DC area... but nothing so far.

Looks like the usual gang of slimy scalpers are already selling tickets to the LA show on eBay. I swear, there will be a special place in hell for scalpers.

I had heard they were trying to work out a date. For the March 24th date the musical guest is TBA and the next live show after that is April 14th but Avril L is scheduled but April 24 is still TBA. I got this from an SNL forum and I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something!!

I haven't heard him playing on radio, or seen him on TV. However, I heard people talking they saw Mika on MTV. Now every morning, instead of morning news I have MTV on, but... nothing yet :blink:

You have to buy a music badge for $600 dollars to see all the acts. If I had it, I'd still do it, but I don't, so I won't.:crybaby: So close and yet so far away.:emot-sad:

gahhh... i hate that scalpers are selling the NYC tix for SOO much money; i was sposed to fly out of NYC that night but I changed my flight for a heavy fee and went to buy tickets only to find them sold out; so ima out the money i spent to extend my flight and left with no way into the show. talk about redic.

I just saw a commercial (I've never seen this one before, so I'm assuming it's new) for some cell phone company (sorry, I wasn't paying attention to the commercial, I was too excited about hearing Mika on TV!) with Love Today playing. It said Mika, Love Today in the bottom left hand corner, so maybe Mika will get some much-deserved attention. :thumb_yello:

And, I'm not referring to the Motorola(RED) commercial with Chris Kattan dancing about in his underwear, which is in movie theaters. I'm talking about a television commercial.

YES! I saw that one yesterday. I believe it's another Motorola advertisment. I was talking with my boyfriend on the phone when I heard the beginning of "Love Today" in my living room. My mother was watching television and as soon as I heard those notes, I made a mad dash for my living room and was utterly pleased to hear the song. I let out a girly squeal, i was so thrilled!
of course my boyfriend was less than amused when i told him... haha..

There were also tons at Target; same $8 price; the two extra songs were dif.:

Target: oh, I can't remember; I think one was Billy Brown acoustic

I got my CD in best buy but i had to look around for it and it was in the Rock section....when i asked the guy where his CD was he said "Mia who?" I said "MIKA, M-I-K-A" :naughty:

I havent heard him on the radio at all yet and he hasnt been played on VH1 or MTV yet...i'm still waiting for that. But i know his song is being played in an upcoming movie called "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" I was so excited when my husband heard his song being played on the trailer.

I wish his record company could make stores put his cd in a featured or new release area. I also wish they could get his songs on radio and videos on the tv and internet video sites. I got my Cd at Target, Had DH pick it up for me and he had to ask for help because they had put it in the new release CHILDREN's section! Geesh!

I have not heard him on the radio at all. I think Radio play and promotion all depends on his people.

Hoping to have a US tour that hits the Northwest!

I imagine you're right about that, Shontih, but I didn't see any additional
dates added today -- and I was scouring the 'net. I have to go to WDW
sometime this summer, and I was thinking he might swing through Orlando at
some point, and wouldn't it be cool if I could see him twice in one month? :)

When I was down there last weekend, I stopped in at the Virgin Megastore they have in Downtown Disney -- they had a HUGE LiCM poster behind the cash registers so I asked the cashier if Mika was coming to their store, like he did out in LA's. She said they were hoping, but they hadn't heard anything for sure. But that was enough for me -- just the hint that *maybe* just maybe... there's hope!

Hi everyone .. im new here =).

i dont know if it was posted or not, but Mika is coming to Boston, MA on June 13 to Avalon. Does anyone (if you've every been to Avalon) know what the deal is with the age requirment to get in to concerts there? On ticketmaster, it says that the show is for ALL AGES, but then for information about the building it says that 18+ can get in with a proper ID. So i was wondering if maybe you were under 18, you could get in with another adult? Some of my friends and myself are DYING to see Mika, but we're all 17. I've e-mailed, but got no reply. I've tried calling Avalon a few times but i haven't been able to speak with someone directly - I've only gotten those annoying voice recordings that say "press 1 bla bla bla..". haha, so if anyone could let me know .. i'd appreciate it. =)

The Borders thing was insane! It was disgustingly hot and when he was performing everybody was jumping so the floor shook! There were so many people that we didn't get to take pictures. I remember leaving with my friend and then we came back and it was insane like 2 hours later there was still a line. Poor Mika.. haha.:bleh:

I just read Sivan's thread for his tour dates...... I think we need to meet up and get pissed, Socks. I'm ina depressed, drink-myself-into-a-stupor sort of mood as she failed to list Vegas and NY yet included several June dates out of the country, effectively filling his June schedule. It seems Mika has overlooked us, my dear friend. The freaks in Vegas and NY apparently cannnot compete with the likes of those of Cali, Georgia, Illinois, and Massachusetts. :tears: :crybaby:
