This man means so much to me. I grew up listening to a poor-quality, burnt cassette of his album Grace that my mum would play constantly, and it always gave me the shivers. It still does, every single time. He had so much soul. I would give everything I own to be able to see him live, but sadly he died...
Grace was on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 best albums of all time, and his cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' was a big radio hit.
He is certainly one of my huge inspirations and role models. Love him or hate him, come and chat about him and his music in here...:thumb_yello:

Unfortunately I only know Hallelujah but that is one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard. Awesome. What is his other music like?

One of my teachers somehow know that I really love Mika *confused look* don't ask me how...hehe
But anyways, that teacher recommended Jeff Buckley to me and now I own his "Live at Sin-e" CD/DVD set...I was going to get "Grace" (I mean, I know it's the one that he's most well known for but the songs on "Grace" were included on the CD/DVD) but then decided that I would but the set instead...

Amazing. :naughty:
Hallelujah is gorgeous...the rest of his music is lyrical, soulful and poetic, in the same vein as Hallelujah, but never repetetive.

That's too bad. Hmm...I've never bought anything from Amazon, in fact, I've never bought anything off the internet before...
Watched that clip...it was AWESOME. I thought it was lovely how his secretary lady said that he was in a meeting but then put the phone aside and asked him if he was in a meeting and then he took the call. And the performance was really well done...sounded amazing, even over the phone!!! The ending was good as well...hehe
Just bumping another thread... :blush-anim-cl: A very nice one, I must say! Jeff rules! :wub2:

My friend's father was Jeff Buckley's best friend in high school, but after high school they didn't keep in touch.

I don't really know anything about it... She told me that, and I'm pretty sure its true. She said her dad was almost a drummer for him, but he ended up not doing it.
That's all I know!
I totally believe in the 6 degrees of separation theory! Maybe a little more than 6 degrees though, but it seems very true :P
