I was thinking the exact same thing. I remember reading a thread on here about Oprah, or Mika being on Oprah or something like that and I was like "pssshhh...Mika doesn't need to be on Oprah...HE NEEDS TO BE ON ELLEN!!!"

Thought that I'd create a thread about someone that I watch on televison almost every afternoon.

I think Ellen is so incredibly funny and she makes me laugh all the time.

Some of my favourite guests that have been on her show are Steve Carell and the ever popular Jack Hanna (my mom and I agreed that if Jack Hanna and Ellen had their own animal show, we would watch it).

Not to mention...KAAAAAAA!!!

I just have one small (or big depending on how you look at it...he is afterall, 6'3"...) Mika hasn't been on her show. I am seriously waiting for the day when that happens and when it does I would seriously ask my mom if I could miss part of school to watch the first episode in the morning (where I live the first one comes on at 10 am)...and I'd tape it...and I'd watch all the commercials...and I'd...I'd...BE SO HAPPY!!!

I know :tears: Hearing things like that happen is just heart breaking... I mean, when you hear of gang related killings, it's sad and horrible, but this one affects me so much more. I can't describe how horrible..

Legendary Balanchine ballerina Maria Tallchief once told me that she became an Ellen DeGeneres fan after watching her on Hollywood Squares. Joseph Kuhn, a gay art-semiotics major at an East Coast university, Tivos DeGeneres every day. And at a recent taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Los Angeles, I sat next to an elderly woman from Georgia who, during the star's signature bopping-with-the-audience entrance, danced like it was 1959.
These days it seems that everybody loves DeGeneres. Her distinctive hip populism cuts across divergent demographics while alienating no one. She has attained first-name-only status of the coziest sort, her most dedicated fans viewing her not with the awestruck devotion of Oprah Winfrey's faithful but with the familiarity of pals, as if they might go grab a drink with her after work. She just seems so nice and so normal.
But then, nice and normal are what DeGeneres's humor is all about as she riffs on the mundane, often mildly irritating realities of daily life. In her public persona at least, she has managed to retain a believable childlike gee-whiz wonderment at such frustrations as trying to start off a new roll of toilet paper, even though by the time this issue hits newsstands she will have just turned 49.
Yet as DeGeneres says in her American Express ad, her life is far from ordinary. Though she projects the off-kilter charm of someone whom fame caught by surprise, she actually sought from an early age the stardom that now affords her a sophisticated multiple-residence, art-collecting lifestyle. A thoughtful conversationalist off camera, she displays both the optimism of her onstage persona, that of a grown-up, engaging Pollyanna eager to find the good in everyone, and the subtle wariness of someone who knows heartache up close. Above all, she strives to neither hurt nor be hurt. She's known the latter, and it stinks. LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Ellen DeGeneres gushed about her wedding to sweetheart Portia De Rossi in the new issue of People magazine.

“What can I say? I’m the luckiest girl in the world,” Ellen said. “She’s officially off the market. No one else gets her.”

And, the funny lady added, “Now she’ll cook and clean for me.”

Ellen and Portia married on Saturday evening in a private ceremony at their Beverly Hills home.

The intimate nuptials were attended by 19 people including Ellen’s mom, Betty, and Portia’s mom, Margaret, who flew in from Australia.

“The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day,” Portia told People. “And one that we’ll never forget.”

The couple, who both wore Zac Posen, exchanged Neil Lane rings, according to the mag.

Following the ceremony, guests dined on vegan cuisine followed by red velvet cake.

Acoustic singer/songwriter Joshua Radin was the musical guest at the reception, performing a host of new songs and a ballad, “They Bring Me To You,” according to the magazine. And, Radin said, he was very moved by the ceremony.

“I cannot imagine topping that experience,” Joshua told People. “I’ve never played a wedding before, and I probably won’t again until it’s my own.”

Friend of the stars – T.R. Knight – offered his well wishes for the couple, noting that he continues to be thrilled over the ruling making same-sex marriage legal in California.

“I happy that they’re happy,” T.R. told People. “I’m happy that they’re allowed to get married.”

And the newlyweds were in bloom on Monday when the couple stepped out in Los Angeles for a bite at Real Food Daily.

When asked by reporters, including X-17 Online how married life was, Portia replied, “amazing!”

I heard Mika was going to be on Ellen on October 21 -- if they tape
one day in advance, that would make sense, since Sprk said the show
was going to *air* on October 22. That fits with his schedule, too, so...
