Thank you SO much for this, Mika. This type of gesture is what always makes me remember that you're so much more than "just" another popstar...You're a fantastic person, who likes to show his appreciation, and who rewards us for what really doesn't need or ask for a reward.

We are your fans because you are fantastic, and you don't have any obligations towards us (other than to deliver a gig when we buy a ticket :roftl:) but you still do these things for us, out of your own initiative, and this touches me deeply.

I am really glad that I chose to follow you, as there is no room in my life to be a SuperFan of more than one artist, and I think that it's clear that you were the right choice.

I wasn't there, but still I was in shock when I read about Mika's sweet gesture - as I was in Feb when I got invited to Mika's champagne party. :yay: I had my first glass of champagne while talking to Mika's band members, haha! He didn't have to invite us and he didn't have to send you guys champagne, but he did it because he is so kind - the kindest musician I could imagine!

Oh great, another thread to repeat my message: I had a wonderful time, it was great to meet so many MFCers and to know that we have picked a rather special object of affection.

I rather thought that Mika was out of the UK. Editing sounded like an L.A. activity but I believe there were three phone calls made to Planet Hollywood and the staff all said it was Mika (not his manager or his record company) so maybe he was in London too (?)

I've got over my embarrassment about joining a fan club, and about going to a meet, so I am proud to have been there. It was a kind and generous gesture to make our evening even more special, it was accepted gratefully in the same way; we enjoyed it mightily. I am astonished that Mika can take the time and trouble to do this, I don't believe it's usual for stars and their fans, but we do try to be worth it.

Last week everything happened very fast, and it was hard to digest it...But now that it's sunk in, it actually hit me in all its strength and I still can't get over how incredibly nice he is.

Like people have said, this party had nothing to do with him, he had absolutely no obligation to do ANYTHING, and not only did he decide to do this, but also in such a generous way. I mean, he just kept the champagne coming!!! I'm not even a big champagne lover, but it's obviously the fact that counts for me and not the drink itself.

I can't get over it. Mika, I love you :wub2:. You're one special guy.

I have to say, much to my shame (particulary as due to my yeast intollerance I should not have had even one SIP) I actually lost count of how much I drank:shocked: BUT, i don't think I was alone in that many people seemed to be saying.........I don't usually drink champagne...we all seemed to be happy to make an exception:naughty:
