First listen I was literally like this :shocked:, in fact I thought it was a joke, it sounds nothing like Mika and who is the kid with the Cockney accent?? I had the same feeling 'bout the album as well when I first heard it at the store,which is why I didn't buy it instantly. So I guess,it's not "abnormal"

It's weird, cuz I had a feeling that I would be surprised with it with all the good critics though. Now that I think about it (after having stopped listening it non-stop :naughty:) it really has a cheery and powerful thing aside the coca cola aspect lol)

My impressions:
It sounds very 'big' just like a parade of funny, colourful and motivated group of teenagers :teehee:
It sounds so free and independent...and yes, in some way it reminds me of Queen sound..especially for the big choirs and that a bit glam-rock sound :cheerful_h4h:
I didn't like very much the beginning but then listening to it for the second time I thought that after all it is fitting with the 'rebel' sound of the rest of the piece of the song :naughty: just like screaming in a megaphone :roftl:

I think the MGMT thing is because that group have this song called Kids. I haven't heard it much, and it's good. But the only similarity really with WAG is that it's about being young and talks about expressing yourself or something like that.

Ok, it is not the feeling of the most of you here, but I cannot resist to reflect my emotions about the first notes of WAG.
I need time to like this song or to habituate me to it, I don't know. But only by hearing the refrain it sounds a lot to “mainstream” for me, arggh!! I cannot find the "special" on it, the amazing feeling as much as I tried - and this is hardly mikaish.

And the lyrics “who gives a damn about the family you come from”??? ehm, these cannot be words of mika, who is always surrounded by one of his family ;), but ok – this is only a song, I know, I know :)

And he has told it many times that the new album will sound in a different way, more matured, the feeling of a teenager will come through and take place of the former "childish" singing. And it's only the refrain - and as no-one can understand a whole interview only by hearing one sentence, so I cannot "understand" or love a song only by hearing such a small glimpse of the whole song - so I'm waiting and hoping for the whole song :) .

But one thing I can really well imagine - it will sound extremly energetic, strong, ”mighty” and will give creeps if a big audience will sing this refrain with the top of its lung!!
