Anyway I can tell you a little about the project...

My producer is a friend of Brian... and I showed Brian a couple of lyrics I wrote and my producer made some music... and Brian wa so impressed that he is willing to add some guitar parts and vocals..

Now 1 of the songs is a blues track and the other one is Black sabbatish... I can send you all some demos if you want.

That's my friend's story. She met Brian and he looked after her and was a brilliant friend to her whilst she was ill. I met him at her 14th birthday party. We went to see We Will Rock You and were taken to a room backstage where there were balloons and drinks and stuff. Then Brian walked in the room. He'd told Vix he was in Moscow, but he'd actually come to celebrate her birthday with us. I then saw him again at her memorial where he played 'No One But You' and a song that he had worked on with Vicki. He is indeed an incredible man and I will never be able to thank him enough for the amount of love and support he gave to Vicki and her family. Truely amazing man and I am sooooooo glad he's a fan of Mika :)

Hi all... I love Brian May, and one of the first things I did when I "discovered" Mika was to check Brian's website to see if he'd "discovered" him too! And of course, Brian had long before I did! I was delighted to see that they had clicked.

I love Brian's website and that he talks to us so freely. We get a real sense of who he is that way. I wish Roger would have a blog like Brian. I like knowing that Brian's a geek for stereoscopic pictures and astronomy, and that he's all for saving hedgehogs. And that he abhors smoking and for heaven's sake don't try to sneak and take his picture with your cell phone in an airport...he doesn't like it! :)

I honestly don't know what I'd say to him if I ever met him. I mean, what could I say.... "Excuse me, Mr. May... I've loved your music all my life....I loved Freddie so much, I still feel his loss..." I couldn't bear to be so trite even if it was true. Hmm....maybe this would be better: "I've introduced my kids to Queen's music and they love it too. My six year old asked me once if Roger was your dad! hee hee!" Bet he'd get a kick out of that!

It was at the Back to the light tour in 1993

I saw him at the brixton acadamy, royal albert hall and Bouremouth int Centre.

After Bmouth(my home town) I went round the back and waited for ages, then he and Anita came out together and he signed stuff for us fans and i stupidly said that i loved him:blush-anim-cl: He was very serious and polite as usual:naughty:

I have the tour book, the show was amazing, he pretty much went through his album and addedd some queen songs and it was very dramatic, amazing atmosphere:punk:

It was at the Back to the light tour in 1993

I saw him at the brixton acadamy, royal albert hall and Bouremouth int Centre.

After Bmouth(my home town) I went round the back and waited for ages, then he and Anita came out together and he signed stuff for us fans and i stupidly said that i loved him He was very serious and polite as usual:naughty:

I have the tour book, the show was amazing, he pretty much went through his album and addedd some queen songs and it was very dramatic, amazing atmosphere

So i went to the bar just as mika was about to start .... I was with SoSi at the time as she only just arrived ...

I got up there and who was stood at the empty bar ? Brian may !!!!!
I said to SoSi .... I KNOW its a long shot but i HAVE to speak to him or ask him for a pic or something .... this is Brian Bloody May !!! I couldnt believe it !

So i waited for him to finish chatting with whoever he was with - there was no-one else around , and said "Hi Brian ! How are you ? I know you probs wont be able to , but would i be able to get a pic please ? " ... He said " Hi there , how are you , i would do a picture but the thing is everyone will want one" ... to which i said "ok thats fine ! No problem at all , i just had to ask while the opportunity was here" ... then he said "lets shake hands though" ... so he held his hand out and i shook his hand .... he asked what my name was i told him , and i said , my BF is downstaires ,hes a massive queen fan , and im dying to make him jelous for sending me to the bar ..... :naughty: he said - "well that can be arranged!" ... NO idea what that meant , but he was being playful ! ....:roftl: i said ok ive gotta go , mika is gonna start and he went down too , so i saw where he sat, he was directly 6 rows behind us ... and i told fred and he couldnt believe it ! ..... He wouldnt even turn round to look bless him , he was so nervous to see him ! LOL! .... I have to admit , i dont know HOW i had the nerve to ask him or chat anything to him , but i just couldnt let the opportunity pass me by ! ... as they say , if you dont ask , you dont get ! ... and i got a hand shake and a small convo !

I then bumped into him again unexpectedly an hour later to which he said "oh hello again! :biggrin2:" ... I just said oh Hi again ! Hope your enjoying the show !

Then me AND fred saw him upstaires in the foyer after the show , but it started getting too busy, so fred didnt get much chance to say anything :(

But it was truely amazing !!!!!!!!!!!! was more a matter of luck !!!

OMG! Was he really in Row 6?? That was so close to me and I never even saw him, even though I knew he was there. I suppose I didn't look over my shoulder much during the concert as the view in front of me was so nice :wink2:. He was almost sat with the MFC, then! :teehee:

well I'm young and I didn't handle so well:roftl: I was just speaking to Jennie about the Queen concert when we came out of the toilet round the corner and then I froze :naughty: Jennie pushed me towards Brian and said Celine Celine it's Brian May.. .and I was like... I know :O I couldn't say anything though cos it was just about to get busy around him but just being so close to my biggest hero is a huge thing!! :mf_lustslow:

After he left I was shaking and then felt really dizzy :roftl: yeah yeah I'm real fangurly when it comes to Brian ;P

Saw him again after the show when we were walking around the venue to find the others.. saw him getting in his car and saying to someone "that's ever so rude!" then kissing a girl on the cheek and saying goodbye and then he got in the car. It was very hard in that moment for me to walk past him cos I was shaking :aah: I knew he was a bit pissed off so I didn't even think about saying something but yeah was still cool to see him twice :teehee:

NO idea what that meant , but he was being playful ! ....:roftl: i said ok ive gotta go , mika is gonna start and he went down too , so i saw where he sat, he was directly 6 rows behind us ... and i told fred and he couldnt believe it ! ..... He wouldnt even turn round to look bless him , he was so nervous to see him ! LOL! .... I have to admit , i dont know HOW i had the nerve to ask him or chat anything to him , but i just couldnt let the opportunity pass me by ! ... as they say , if you dont ask , you dont get ! ... and i got a hand shake and a small convo !

I then bumped into him again unexpectedly an hour later to which he said "oh hello again! " ... I just said oh Hi again ! Hope your enjoying the show !

Then me AND fred saw him upstaires in the foyer after the show , but it started getting too busy, so fred didnt get much chance to say anything :(

But it was truely amazing !!!!!!!!!!!! was more a matter of luck !!!
he has such a fatherly warmth , i felt extremely comfortable around him Hes amazing !

Saw him again after the show when we were walking around the venue to find the others.. saw him getting in his car and saying to someone "that's ever so rude!" then kissing a girl on the cheek and saying goodbye and then he got in the car. It was very hard in that moment for me to walk past him cos I was shaking :aah: I knew he was a bit pissed off so I didn't even think about saying something but yeah was still cool to see him twice :teehee:

Why did it take me so long to find this thread? I'm in love with Brian May! He's my favourite member of Queen (as difficult as it is for me to have favourites). One of my life goals is to meet him and tell him what an inspiration he is.. I have this whole speech planned out but if I did meet him I'd probably be completely awestruck and say something stupid like "You have curly hair.."

Some of my favourite Queen songs were written by him.. '39, Teo Torriate, We Will Rock You, Good Company, Fat Bottomed Girls, Save Me, No-one But You.. The list goes on! I also absolutely love Too Much Love Will Kill You, it's so beautiful yet heartbreaking. Brian's voice may not be as strong and powerful as Freddie's, but it has always been really beautiiful and he is capable of expressing so much emotion with it.

And there's no real need for me to mention his guitar-playing! I think everyone can agree that it is amazing. The best of all time, in my opinion!

Aww, that sounds amazing. Sadly I was only born a couple of months after the tribute concert.. I wish I could have been there, it's brilliant.

Beautiful rendition of '39. It really is an amazing song. I love all of the old live performances of it with Freddie, he seemed to have a lot of fun with it. I really love Brian's 12-string acoustic.. It's got such a rich, warm sound.
