I just know this one site and it's only "Grace Kelly". I gave it to a few more people, but they never told me if it was any good or not. I can't read notes myself, you see.... If people are gonna try it, could you tell me if it's any good?

Good luck to you all:thumb_yello:

I tried it today, and I don't really like it. But maybe I should just practice a bit so it will start to sound like Grace Kelly...

yeah, sorry, but it's not the one mika plays. it's an easy version which includes the tune....sounds a bit crap really. i taught myself it by ear... i could try to write it out on sibalius if you like.

warning - the grace kelley given is not accurate! it is infact written to include the tune and doesnt sound as good. if you wanna learn grace kelley, do it by ear- it is much more accurate to the origional . you can find lessons on how to play it on youtube!

I managed to teach myself Any Other World. It's pretty easy. So is Over My Shoulder and Stuck In The Middle. I've managed to work out Grace Kelly aswell now. Using the sheet music is ok but try and just use it as a guide and alter it yourself to sound more accurate :thumb_yello:

Hi everyone,
I have been looking for piano music of Grace Kelly. I looked in the official book, but apparently this is not the scores we want. Can anyone give us just the chords so we can sing while my son plays his piano like Mika does himself. I hope you know what I mean because my English is not so good!
Anyway, if someone has also the chords of love today, lollipop... you're welcome to share it with me!!
I am a bit desperate as Mikasongs never go out of my head since we saw his performance in Brussels!!! Never thought the impact of his concert would be like this... :thumb_yello:

I have been mucking about on my piano trying to play the sheet music from the book - and at the moment I am learning Happy Ending. When I listen to the song, the bits in the sheet music isn't there! So, like theres less notes played. I wish I could find something thats 100% exact.

With the sheet music, where did it come from? Is this something Mika himself has actually registered or is this someone figuring it out for themselves and publishing it in a book?

yer i often wonder that aswell. im sure that mika agreed to it and stuff coz it has his name and the people he works with on it and sum fotos *drool*.............. lol sorry. but i think the stuff thats played in the songs is abit more complacated coz u can hear bits in the songs that arent there in the sheet music!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHH so confusing.

i really want to learn how to play the bit in stuck in the middle near the end where he's like : do ba da ba ba do ba da da da ..... ect. coz thats sounds awesome!

Yes I agree, but isn't the end part dubbed over the piano part that you hear throughout the whole song? I don't know if you could play both at the same time

Hey! :wink2:
I know your post was like 2 months ago but I'm kinda new on here... Yeah I know what u mean - I really want the music that HE plays, for example on Love Today, u know the live version when he plays the piano - the chords are so much better than those in the music book....
In my opinion it's a big fault of the book that the right hand is mainly the melody, like it's the notes to what he sings rather than what he plays.... this is annoying me!
I'm wondering if anyone has the music of what he plays in Love Today, e.g. here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wVdohcENQ0
or the beautiful piano music to the acoustic version of Relax, e.g. here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zQXRQYi_xQ
I'm a member of pianofiles but everyone there appears to just have the versions from the book. It looks like it's a matter of tryin to figure it out by ear... something that isn't my forte!
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help :thumb_yello:

Has the book got the Hal Leonard transcriptions? I got five songs from sheetmusicdirect.com and that includes the vocals rather than the full piano.

Also, on Happy Ending, it's got it all written in C major but at the bottom it's got 'recorded half a step higher'. I've been playing both and I can't decide which one sounds more accurate, anyone got any clue (or a better musical ear than myself)?

Hi guys, extremely beginner keyboardist here. I've try to play [the first 4 notes/bars] of this tutorial, but it doesn't seem that my keyboard has enough keys  It has 61 keys, which is not enough for the lower notes of three of the four left-hand-chords. Should I:

a). find a different tutorial/music, this one is wrong/crap.
b). play the whole thing an octave higher. (and is there maybe some kind of setting on the keyboard to make it sound lower? .. probably not)
c). just play one note of the chords.

?

You should have well enough with 61 keys. And yeah, on most keyboards you can change the settings to make it sound lower... but really you're supposed to play it in the middle of a standard piano so you should be allowed to do it. Just play the high "c-g-f" part one octave lower like he says.

Hey! I have no idea if there is a way of making the keyboard sound lower, but I don't think so.... I would say try it first playing the left hand an octave higher,,,which means yeah you might have to play the whole thing an octave higher...see how it sounds.
or else as u said, you could try just playing one of the notes from each chord. If you do it this way, use the main note from each chord..know what I mean? (It's a while since I saw this tutorial but I think he does it in Dflat, right?) So if the chord is D flat, F, A flat, you should play D flat cos that's the base chord. Is this making any sense?
