I've noticed some of us are Beatles fans, but there's nowhere we can chat about the Fab Four in the Forums!!!! How can that be? I honestly think Mika is greatly influenced by their melodies (take "Billy Brown" for instance), and I'm sure many of you will love to have our own Beatle Thread. So come on people, join in!!! I've thought The Blue Meanies is a good name for us, I love those little malign characters:roftl:

I'm sooooo lucky! How about you? When did you first realized who The Fab Four were?

That's amazing, what a nice soundtrack for a childhood, don't you think so?:wink2:

My favourite is George Harrison, and when I was a little child I used to call him "Uncle George":roll1: He's the shy type of person I usually get identified with, a great guy in every sense. I was devastated when he died.

I remember John's death as well: I was 5 and mum and dad told me something terrible had happened to him. It's one of my first memories, too bad...

Yeah, it was awsome! There was a special ambient in the stadium, and when I looked back in that particular part I saw thousands of tiny lights moving to the music. It made me cry. It was one of the best concerts I've ever gone to.

i saw a paul mccartney-concert on tv a few years ago. and that was very touching. it was one of those moments when i really regret i was born too late to ever could have gone to a beatles-show!

Oh, I've been having that feeling since I can remember: I should have been born in the 40's instead of the 70's!! I even wear my mum's old clothes and the clubs I go to are all sort of modish:roftl: I wish I could have been there when the whole thing started...

I suppose you have already noticed that I am a great Beatles fan. I grow up with the Beatles, went to all their shows in Sweden.
When I first heard Mikas music it reminded me of the Beatles, the sound of Mikas music has a lot of similarity with the Beatles.
And when the Beatles came it was quite a new thing in music just like Mikas songs and sound.
I love them both, will allways do.

Beatlefests are so much fun! The one I go to goes on for three days, you can go all three days or go whenever you want to.
there's so much to do there, there's art displays, talent shows, live bands all around, trivia games, sooo much more! Karaoke,too!
The main event is this band called Liverpool that come on. They're awesome!

Haha, that's why I love Ringo! He's hilarious!

I saw him live, too! His "The Space Within U.S." tour. Spetember 27, 2005. :)
I was in the last row.:naughty: :naughty: But it was AMAZING!!
I wrote an e-mail to a dj for the radio station Q 104.3 about the concert, and he loved it so much, he read it to Sir Paul McCartney on this show he does called "Breakfast With The Beatles". Paul knows I exist!! I cried like a baby when I heard him read it! It's an amazing feeling I'll NEVER forget! I have it on tape. haha

And a few years ago for my older sister's sweet 16, my family had a picnic in NY's Strawberry Fields, my sister is a HUGE Beattles fan, and it was the same day as John's birthday. I go there every year for his birthday. A binch of bands gather around the Imagine circle singing Beatles songs and lighting candlesand stuff. Anyway, after a while my cousin wanted to see the Dakota where John lived and we were standing in front of it and my sister was telling the story about how John was shot:tears:, when a black car pulled up behind us. Yoko stepped out! She actually bumped into me! I still have the jacket I wore from that day!

I would really love to see Ringo in concert!

Oh, how I'd love to see that box of yours, I'm sure I could spend days and days looking at your Beatles collection. I've got some original LP's that belonged to my dad (well, they're suppoused to be his, but I have them, hahaha), and I'm especially proud of a first Spanish re-edition of "Sgt. Peppers" in a yellow vinyl. That one is my baby:bleh:

ooohhh, i wanna join! i love the beatles! and i am not just saying that. i really really do love them. i hate people who say the they "love" the beatles but if you say whose ringo starr, there like who? stupid posers.

but anyway, yes i do love the beatles. i have like 13 beatles posters, every album on vinyl (and cd), like 50 billion beatles books, a few figurines, 312 beatle songs on my ipod (not including solo stuff!), more knowledge than any other 14 year old in the whole world, and a hugantic obsession that i dont think will ever go away. im sure i have more stuff but i cant think of it right now. basically, i have way too much stuff for someone that was born 23 years after they broke up.

I have a piece of the WALL from the church that Paul and John met at. There were a bunch selling on eBay about 2 years ago. Just small little pieces about the size of a bottle cap, all framed with that photo of John and Paul taken the day that they met.

I think it's the Liverpudlian accent. I have no trouble understanding British accents, even when they're speaking very fast, but the Liverpool accent is kind of...different. And they used A LOT of British-only words, like, "shove up," etc. I couldn't understand a word of AHDN without subtitles the first time.

I'm not sure...but some people that have the incredibly thick accents I can't even understand. Like Luke Juby. I called out goodbye to him as he was getting into the cab and all I got was, "Cheers," and then it sounded greek to me after that. thats totaly true. they had a whole other sceen planed but ringo was too messed up to say any lines or anything so they let him do that scene instad. its one of my favnourte scenes in the movie though.

Please add me to the Blue Meanies. I grew up loving them, and I grew up when they were still together as the Beatles. I have loved John the longest but for the last ten years or so, George has sometimes taken the lead spot.
For the last 4 months I have only been able to listen to Mika, and then sometimes the Beatles or George. No other music seems to touch me at this point in my life.....it worries me at times and I do try to listen to other things, but for now it is Mika and the Beatles. For the last few days it has been: "While my guitar gently weeps" **sigh*** especially this version

It's hilarious! John is a girl in it, but has a super-low beastly voice, Paul is Pyrimus, Ringo is a lion and George is the moonlight. It's adorable. I used to have it on my computer but I deleted it a while ago. :D
