That's brilliant news!
Now I don't have to pay £35 a ticket from Ebay to go to Birmingham and I've got plenty of time to sort out who to go with.
(Plus I have a big birthday coming up in May!)
You've made my day

Personally, I'd get standing tickets...but I do for any concert I'm going to.
Standing, there's a possibility (if you fight) that you can get to the front. However, there's also a chance you won't have the most amazing view. Or seats, you can guarantee being able to see...and avoid any elbowing going on down there :lmao:
I don't know what to expect, actually. I've not seen Mika before.
I'm guessing there'll be no crowd surfers and such?

Hmm....I have never actually been to a proper gig (I've never been that much of a groupie for any artist or band before!) I am worried that I will get shoved and elbowed... and get stuck behind tall people (as what usually happens when I go anywhere! I'm 5'2")
So have booked a couple standing tickets too... I can decide later on and will easily find people to use the extra tickets I might have :bleh:

I don't see the point of the Secret society if it's not to let people know in advance for pre-sale ticket lol!
Anyway, on monday there will be more on sale I guess
Cautionary Wife
09-02-2007, 08:04 PM
Often pre-sale is a limited number of tickets, and not always the best. It will be interesting to see if and what tix available on Monday. For a Paul Rodgers concert recently, the presale was upper circle, whereas on the morning of the public release, I got centre front for myself and a group of pals. I'd made a few phone calls and established that the venue itself kept hold of the best seats. That has happened a couple of times for me.
CW.
Fillip
09-02-2007, 08:11 PM
yep presales are generally 20% of the total tix..(I think they can't technically go over that because they have to have tix available for public sale)
Venues have gotten cautious now and do staggered releases at times to try and beat the ebayers. And they don't always have the best tix in the presale.
So if it says sold out don't panic straight away ....more tix may come on sale ..and also don't forget to add yourself to a venues returns list ...these are first come first served, but I've got lucky a few times for 'sold out' gigs and it means you pay face value not tout prices.

Hey Michael - thats rough - exams I mean - but hopefully you will see him in London. I have M.E. so wont be able to go to any of the concerts, but I will catch as much from tv, internet etc - and read all the comments on these pages. Makes me feel part of it! :)
P.S. Good luck with your exams.

I've just found out, the date I've got some tickets for (London, 14th) happens to be one of my exams. That's typical.
Nothing the next day though...so that's not too bad. Work hard in the exam and have a nice reward later on - in the form of Mika! :]
London or Birmingham, equal distance for me, so I'm open. It would be nice though if they could swing down to the West country, and not just for Glastonbury. We do have good venues here, Carling Academy and Colston Hall in Bristol, Westpoint in Exeter, The Oasis in Swindon and loads more I can't qute remember just now. Just a thought.

Hmm, everyone seems to have got tickets from seetickets.com
I found the presale link through the Academy website and ordered through ticketweb.com
Apparently they're the same company, although my Mika tickets for Brum this month still haven't come through (See Tickets) while everyone else on ticketweb seems to have received them. Which isn't very good:thumbdown:

Ticketmasters the most reliable in my opinion for getting tickets out in time, most of the other companies seem to run with seetickets.
Mika Mad
10-02-2007, 03:49 PM
I did order them from see tickets, which worries me slightly, but I'm so desperate to see Mika live that I'd have bought tickets from Beelzebub if he'd been selling them first!
:naughty:
First, great news - a gig with no mimum age limit so we can take our equally Mikaholic children. So 9am hubbie was on the phone and bought 4 tickets to Mika's Birmingham gig on 17 May.
Then last night we realised... our 10 year old has a Key Stage 2 maths exam at 9am the next day! There's no way she can be up until 12.30 or 1am during Sats week.
Sadly, we'd already told them the good news, so had to break the bad news last night.
If it wasn't KS2 Sats I might not have ruled out the gig, but these exams decide her level for secondary school in September. What's more, I work at the children's school. Wouldn't look good, now would it!
:boxed:
oh, thats such bad luck. I hope the kids took it well!!! (probs not though).

I'm gonna check the exam board website and check i've got no exams the next day.. not that it'll make any difference - i'm still going! :p Hopefully they're starting later than that though.
(concerts at the academy don't tend to run as late as arenas in my experience. when I saw Lily Allen there last year it finished at 9.15!)

Really?? Now I'm panicing .. I've never really had any problems with See Tickets BUT have booked tickets for Michael Bolton next month with them and I leave home the day before as I'm in Yorkshire and the concert is in Bournemouth (long way I know, but I'm at friends the week after so extended my holiday). Booked them last September but the tracker states they are still waiting to receive them.
I'd heard it happen for Robbie Williams's concerts last year, but thought it was a one off incident.
