Last night we were at Knoebels, and we were waiting for the show to start, (I say 'we', because we both love Beatles impersonators)
And I had a leftover cotton candy stick, and I starting smacking the seat in front of me with it, going "GETCHA SELF TO THE BUTTAFLY LOUNGE, FIND YASELF A BIG LAYDEEEEE" trying to make her laugh.

and she said something about Mika, and I said something about wanting a new version of his CD. And she goes:

"Life in Cartoon Motion?"

I was so proud, so I thought I'd share. :wink2:

That's awesome! My mom still forgets the title, but she does remember Mika's name. :biggrin2:

When we talk about Mika, she always remembers of the first time I posted pics of him, and she was like, "Who's that? He's cute."

Me: "Oh, he's some singer whose music I really like."

Mom: "Do you like him?"

Me: "No, I'm just into his music. I love his hair, tho."

She says she'll never forget that, now I have the hugest crush on Mika, it's insane. :insane:

My mom asked how Mika Squeakah was coming along, and I played her a sample of 'Billy Brown' which I might remix. And she goes "THIS is Mika, too?! Wow... I've never heard this one. It's pretty good!"

Then the other day, we were watching TV and 'Love Today' came on, and she said "You know, I have the feeling he might be gay, but I really don't care. I think he's amazing.":mf_rosetinted:

Hah, I wish my mom was more interested in Mika but she really isn't. She calls him Meeko or Mikey. She normally tells me to quit talking about him when she's around, I don't know why. She's never really even heard him. She did call him 'fluffy' one time which I think was her way of calling him 'gay'. I said I didn't think he was and she said, "You coulda fooled me." My dad is much more open about things like that so he actually shows interest in Mika. I think he respects Mika since I like him. Last week So You Think You Can Dance was on the TV in my living room and I said, "Hey! Guess who's going to be on next week!" and my dad goes, "Mika?" and I was so happy that he guessed it so quickly, lol. Then my mom goes, "I thought he was a singer, not a dancer!" Then I explained and she called him Meeko....again.
