I'll be sure to let you know, Cynthia...although if you don't have any of the Killers cds now, I would already go ahead and recommend you look into them! They are a really fantastic band. I strongly consider Brandon Flowers to be as good an entertainer as Mika. :)

Yes! They put the Abbey Road version of Sam's Town! And Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf! I've been waiting for a couple years to hear that one. :punk: It'll be great to finally have all the b-sides and other non-album tracks in one place finally. :naughty:

so that is what they are doing? just rounding up all the b-sides and that
it will sorta take the excitement out of having them in ure possession now that they are widely avaliable

I'm excited, even if they're mostly b-sides, etc. It'll be even better once they put out a brand new record. :D

femifrosk, some of these songs were b-sides to those records, if that is what you're asking. Here is a little bit about it:
John Benson, Cleveland
A wealth of material that stateside fans most likely haven't heard will comprise the Killers' next release before the end of the year, according to frontman Brandon Flowers.
"In England we have a lot of B-sides that people in America would never know about because we don't have singles here," Flowers tells Billboard.com. "So we have about 15 of these songs that people have never heard, and we wanted to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together."
The tentative song list includes "All the Pretty Faces" ("When You Were Young" B-side), movie soundtrack tunes "Shadowplay" (a Joy Division cover from Anton Corbijn's Ian Curtis biopic "Control") and "Move Away" ("Spider-man 3"), as well as a cover of Mel Tillis' "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town." Flowers also hasn't ruled out putting a new track or two on the album, which he hopes to have out by the holiday season.
"We're also going to do another Christmas single for the Red Campaign as well," Flowers says. "That's exiting. We've written 'Don't Shoot Me Santa,' which will hopefully be available on Dec. 1. Last year we were able to raise over $100,000 from the one song ('A Great Big Sled'), and hopefully we'll be able to do it again."
Still on the road supporting its sophomore effort "Sam's Town," the Killers are touring the states again because "We feel like we didn't do enough touring in America on this album," Flowers says. The outfit, which begins its next leg Sept. 4 at Red Rocks outside Denver, plans on hitting Australia and South America before it ends its touring cycle in November.
But Already there are new ideas floating around at soundchecks and in computers for the group's next studio effort, which is tentatively scheduled for a fall 2008 release. Upon mentioning the appeal of the '80s dance-inspired "Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix" version of "Mr. Brightside," Flowers hinted the band could be returning to that sound. "That's something we really love," Flowers says, "and that possibly could be a third album idea."
I am really excited to hear "Don't Shoot Me, Santa"!

I'm in love with Shadowplay. They played it for the first time about a week ago on one of the radio stations here, and I had missed who the artist was and only caught that it was a cover, and I was sitting there thinking how awesome it was, then Brandon starts singing and I'm like 'OMG! its the Killers!' :punk:

They perform that in their setlist nowadays. It's freaking awesome and it really does have the Killers "sound" to it!

Hey, they finally released 'Under the Gun'?
That's the song that triggered 'London Beckoned Songs About Money Written By Machines' by Panic! At the Disco. It's a hate song towards Brandon.
Wasn't it released in the UK a long time ago?

Under the Gun has been previously released. At least I know when they put out a second issue of Hot Fuss it was included on there.

I'm loving a lot of the tracks on Sawdust so far. I think Sweet Talk is the best of the ones that were previously unreleased. I think they could've left Under the Gun and Glamorous Indie RnR like they were. Trainquilize is really cool too. Overall, great stuff to tide us fans over till the next new Killers album. :punk:
