The MFC 5th Anniversary party/MFC convention will take place at The Thistle Barbican, London www.thistle.com/city-Barbican on Saturday 7th January 2012.

Details are as follow:

2pm - 5:30pm Convention element of the day. Lots of good ideas have come in already re activites and now that we have confirmed where the event is taking place we can start making concrete plans. We have arranged internet access and a large screen.
Activities suggested so far include a quiz, link ups with MFCers in other locations, a MFC choir, a flashmob - if technology allows! a charity auction (HEMS) and of course there will be lots of videos/Mika music playing, and the MFC 5th Anniversary cake. We have had some great offers of prizes/auction items already including a hand painted portrait of Mika, special edition Korean CD's and specially designed MFC 5th Anniversary t shirts. This is just a small taster of things that will be on offer........

We will be working with those of you that have expressed an interest to help to fine tune the activities over the coming months.
Tea/coffee/soft drinks will be available to purchase at the hotel bar at a 20% discount. Proof of attendance at the event will need to be shown.

7:30pm - midnight - The meal/party.

The details of the meal have yet to be finalised as at the moment we are just working on sample menus. We will post details as soon as possible. There will be a choice of menu options including vegetarian choices.
The evening event will be ticketed and your ticket (which will have been emailed to you) will have to be shown on arrival. Tickets will then go into a free prize draw.
Following the meal there will be a disco with DJ. There will be one activity during the evening - it may be that we hold the auction in the evening rather than the afternoon. This will be confirmed nearer the time.
Both events will be held in conference suites in the hotel and will be private events with no public access.
Drinks will not be included in the price and will be available for purchase. Usual rules apply regarding showing ID to purchase, and consume, alcohol. (Must be 18 or over)

The cost for the event will be:

The full event (Convention/Meal/Disco) £36

Disco only (no meal) £10

Under 18's are welcome to the full event. However, if any under 18's don't want/are not allowed to attend in the evening they can come to the convention for a charge of £5.

We have worked these prices out on the assumption that we are going to have 100 attendees. If we have less than 100 we have a problem - so please spread the word and try to encourage as many of your MFC friends to come as possible - it promises to be a great day.

If you would like to book a place please do so by sending me £10 as a deposit. The balance (£26 if you are attending the full event) will be payable by 1st Dec 2011. The easiest way to pay is by pay pal but if anyone wants to pay by other means just PM me. If you would prefer to pay the full amount all in one payment that is fine and will reduce the amount of charges that Pay pal deduct per payment.

Accommodation.

Please do not rush off to book rooms at The Thistle Barbican as we have reserved rooms at a special rate, which you will only get if you quote a code at the time of booking. Silver will open a thread (I will post the link in here when we have it) regarding the booking details, and information about other local hotels, so that this thread doesn't get bogged down with people posting requests to share rooms etc.

Programme:
14h à 17h30 Convention. Beaucoup de bonnes idées pour les activités ont été trouvées et maintenant que nous avons un lieu réservé, nous allons pouvoir les concrétiser. Nous aurons un accès internet et un grand écran.
Pour l'instant, on nous a suggéré un quiz, des meetings virtuels avec les MFCers des autres pays qui organiseront aussi des fêtes pour nos cinq ans, un choeur du MFC, une flashmob ( si la tchnologie le permet) , une vente en faveur de HEMS et bien entendu il y aura plein de vidéos et de musique de Mika et le gâteau des cinq ans du MFC.
On nous a déjà proposé des prix pour les gagnants des jeux et pour la vente aux enchères, par exemple un portrait de Mika peint à la main, des exemplaires de l'édition spéciale de TBWKTM de Corée, et des t-shirts faits spécialement pour les cinq ans du MFC. Et ce n'est qu'un simple aperçu des articles exceptionnels qui seront disponibles.
Nous développerons ces projets avec ceux qui se sont manifestés dans le topic tout au long des prochains mois.
Les participants auront le droit de commander des sodas, du thé ou du café au bar de l'hotel avec une remise de 20% à condition de montrer une preuve de leur participation à l'évènement.
19h30-minuit Le repas festif
Les détails du repas ne sont pas encore finalisés, mais nous mettron en ligne les menus aussitôt que possible. Il y aura un choix de menu y compris un menu végétarien.
Pour la soirée, vous devrez montrer votre ticket à l'entrée (il vous sera envoyé par e-mail). Votre ticket d'entrée vous permettra de participer à un tirage au sort gratuit.
Après le repas, il y aura un DJ . Il y aura aussi une activité le soir (éventuellement la vente aux enchères si elle n'a pas lieu l'après midi) Ceci n'est pas encore décidé et sera confirmé plus tard.
Ces évènements auront lieu dans des suites prévues pour les conférences et seront réservés aux MFCers (pas d'accès public)
Les boissons ne sont pas comprises dans le prix, mais seront en vente sur place. Seules les personnes majeures auront accès aux boissons alcolisées et devront pour cela montrer une pièce d'identité.
Le coût total sera de:
La soirée complète (Convention/Repas/Soirée DJ) )
Soirée DJ uniquement (sans le repas)£10
Les moins de 18 ans sont les bienvenus pour tout l'évènement. Toutefois, si des mineurs n'ont pas l'autorisation de participer à la soirée, ils peuvent participer uniquement à la convention pour un prix de £5.

Ces tarifs sont basés sur la venue de 100 personnes et cela posera problème si nous sommes moins nombreux, donc parlez en à tous vos amis du MFC pour que nous soyons nombreux-ça sera certainement une journée fantastique.
Si vous voulez réserver , envoyez moi des arrhes de £10. Le reste de l'argent (£26 si vous participez à tout l'évènement) sera payable au 1ier décembre 2011. Le plus simple pour payer, c'est paypal, mais si vous préférez un autre moyen de paiement, dites le moi par message privé. Si vous voulez régler la totalité de la somme en une fois, c'est aussi possible et vous reviendra moins cher en frais paypal.

Les réservations de chambres.
Ne vous précipitez pas pour réserver les chambres à The Thistle Barbican car nous avons négocié des chambres à un tarif préférentiel, que vous obtiendrez seulement en donnant un code quand vous réserverez. Silver ouvrira un topic à ce sujet (je vous donnerai le lien ici dès qu'il sera crée) qui vous expliquera les détails de la réservation, et les informations concernant les autres hotels locaux et dans laquelle vous pourrez indiquer si vous cherchez des personnes pour partager une chambre etc..

I'm sorry I'm just lazy to read all the pages to know all the ideas that have been proposed so I'll just said what I was thinking about :
- We could train the interested people for part of the week-end on Mika's songs and/or other songs, so that at the end, we could sing together as a choir or with some instruments or as individuals or as group ... some songs and together make some music, dances...

- We could try to think about making a buzz for Mika : I still don't have the killing idea but you know some fans made videos (such as for Gaga...) and broadcast it, and it just makes a buzz. It would be awesome if we succeed in doing such a things because it would celebrate well the MFC and also I could be good for Mika's music and coming tour (made him some free advertisement...)' - From Edoclaire
