She says they will give him "la bascule" (where people grab the birthday boy & throw him up in the air while holding legs & arms & another spank his bottom... it's an old tradition )

She mentions that Mika came to Montreal to work on his 3rd album.
He says that he decided one morning to come & booked a flight, he arrived in the afternoon, with no hotel reservation. He went to the studio, completely jetlagged & within an hour, they had written the first song.

Another radio person says that he heard that Mika was in a restaurant & a girl saw him, and said you really look like Mika, he said, it's me & she said no, Mika doesn't speak french. He tried to tell her, but she never believed him.
Apparently he mentioned it during an interview & the girl called in, spoke to him & apoligized.

Mitsou then repeats the date for the concert

pretty much yes

I think the festival is still bitter by the fact that he cancelled a few years back. I heard through the grapevine (someone working for the festival) that "Mika" was not a good word to mention around the organizers
I guess they changed their minds after the new found love we have for him here

Maybe it needs to be addressed so people will not worry about whether he's going to show up this time or not.

I don't think that's what they are talking about. He only postponed the corporate gig, he did not cancel it.

Well the biggest problem was that there was some excuse issued that he was too ill to fly and then he turned up in NYC on the same day. So unless he went by boat...

So it says a video for one of his songs is filmed in Montreal in the near future? This is proper news? I'm not sure we can trust "the album will be released in autumn" part
