it was... THE BEST DAMN MIKA SHOW EVER!!!!! I've seen a few too. It was amazing - everything you can think of was amazing, starting from the opening bands. I spent a total of 12 hours waiting in line + concert + getting an autograph (from Mika and Mikey!!!) and some pics! I am exhausted and will try to post some stuff tomorrow. It was so perfect...

The gig was amazing. We arrived at the venue at around 9:30AM. Loads of members of the French forum were already queuing. It was really messy at the beginning but after a lot of shouting, things went quite smoothly, people lined up and they made us walk through a very long succession of barriers... anyway, we roasted under the sun, literally speaking, it was extremely hot.

We heard Mika soundchecking for an hour or so. That was quite entertaining.

The security had given out yellow wristbands to the first 2000 people in line, to make sure we would all be front. Nothing like a perk, it's what they usually do.

Doors opened at 4:45PM or something. The scene was a bit weird, you had a very long ramp ending in a huge catwalk. Most of us ran there, which means we were quite away from the main scene, bu still front row... Just look at a plan of the venue to get a better idea

Yelle was true to herself, Panic at the disco I found quite boring, and Dyonisos totally broke my head and ears cause it was far too loud.

New version, as heard last night.

Mika in black pants with green glitter on the sides.

Silver jacket (i think), BRACES

We don't remember anything else really special on that song...

2. BIG GIRL

Loads of big girls in colourful suits came on stage... maybe 7 of them?

They also had these giant inflatable diet cokes and slices of pizza they threw into the crowd. When I say giant, I mean Cath and I almost died suffocating under one as well as 10 other people, just imagine the size of these things LOL

There was no more inflatable big girl on stage, just inflatable legs.

3. MY INTERPRETATION

Mika had a real concert piano. Black one. It sounded much nicer!

4. STIM

(songs may be in the wrong order, we're tired)

This little kid came on stage dressed up in a kinda astronau costume, on th eback of a clown, and started dancing on the piano.

It's hard to do it song by song actually cause we're so tired and don't remember anyhing in the right chronology...

Chinese dragons and acrobats, confettis, saxophones... everything was just terribly exciting

THE NEW SONG

is called Rain

It'll be on second album

It's a beautiful ballad, we'll try to upload the vid

Mika sang Grace Kelly in French, full version, at a white concert piano on the catwalk just in front of us, that was just great.

Had a new version of OJ, more rock, i'd say, very nice, no banjo for the new guy...

Talking of the new guy he has a bigger part in the show than Luke had... he does backup singing with Sara and the new girl on some songs instead of keyboarding, he also made a little dance with Mika on I don't remember what song... He is very good looking (sorry for Luke's addicts )

We're sorry it's bits and pieces but we're really really tired and there were so many things it's hard to summarize it all. Just know it was a great great show! Mika was still himself but everything else was just crazier and bigger. I usually feel like a 16 year old going to Mika gigs, tonight , I felt like a 5 year old going to the circus for the first time, enjoying every little detail.

so here some of my pics - teared away from my heart but otherwise completely gratuitous. i have 200 pics from tonight, but only ~40 clear ones, of which you get 24. may write a review later - after both werchter and parc des princes i deserve a break! unfortunately, arras would be way too much. got to see Mika up close for the first time after the show - didn't talk to me because he was busy talking to another fan he recognized. He knows you guys, wow! Anyway, the pics in four posts and a review at some point tomorrow! oh, and he did a rave-like performance of RTIE in the end. marvelous!
