Avoca's report from gig thread

report on the way home Lol

prsonally i was very tired last nite but then i didnt sleep so well past days

anyway, it was simply a living room gig, with all it takes: mika 20 cm away from you, standing on stage, some of them literally sitting on it, no bareers, hardly any security, a dream

the venue was beautiful, very classy
we were let in later than we should, cannot tell when exactly he was on, i didnt check time then

he didnt wear braces and also told to audience almost at the end of the gig
he also told he was SO much in pain by then
nevertheless he danced and sang his heart out loud, so not being wise or careful, but VERY professional
as a real showman, he never stopped smiling and though he must have been suffering a lot, he didnt show it at all

as i said, we were standing or sitting on stage, next to the cameraman who was often in the way
i think the show will air at some point

mika sang mostly old songs: relax (which was GREAT to hear again live!!), HE, GK, LT (as encore), SITM , BG
from new album he sang rain, WAG, BE and BIOTG
thats all i can remembr Lol so it was not just 2 songs

i would have loved to hear more from the new album, but i understand this was not a real gig, if you get me, and he preferred to play what mainstream knew best. mind you, it was also a promotional tour, so he could have showed the new songs a little more
anyway being close to him on stage was a real treat: the closest ever
we got some eye contact

he came back for 1 encore but we didnt push him to come back as we knew how much in pain he was, he was limping diwn the stage

i loved the military jacket he wore i didnt take any pic as usual during gig but many did and i am sure theyll post them soon

we waited for him o.c. at the side entrance: he came out not long after but in his van, which didnt stop. he was though waving at us: could see cause hed a shining mobile his hand that he waved about Lol

finally i wanna say thx to all mfcers for being their usualadorable selves
it was simply GREAT to see you all again even if we didnt talk much

what can i say more? it was like having a living room gig!!!
i couldn't believe that was the stage, that was the position we would have during the gig...that he would be that close, never experienced that before!

he looked so gorgeous, he was in a very happy mood (i guess 3 days of italian restaurants gave him a bit of a holiday taste!) and he gave all his heart as always...all his devoted fans were embracing the small stage, from one end to the other, SITTING on the stage itself!
amazing...we have been so lucky.

the set list avoca wrote is correct, and i also hoped for more new songs but hey! it was all perfect, so i won't complain!

he's so professional, he only hinted at his pain once...he said 'i have a confession to make...do you know, this is the first gig without my brace...and now i am in such a pain i feel like crying'....can you believe i've got tears in my eyes reporting this?
i would tell him 'GO! put some ice on your foot, wear your brace again!'
he went on till the end of the gig, with an encore...
i hope he follows what the doctors say...but he's really a serious professionist, so the balance between the two has to be difficult.
and we all know he will only do what he wants...

we were outside chatting when we saw the van pass by...i hope he would not stop and go immediately to take care of his pain, so i was perfectly happy to see he was not stopping with the fans. we waved the black windows goodnight!

what to say..it was perfect...so close...and so free!
and 99% of his italian hardcore fans were there, it was such a good meet up!

a note:
pls forgive the lack of reports of the two days mika was in italy..but lots of fans are coming back to their homes now and i was not there where they met mika outside the tv show on sunday and yesterday when he came in/out the venue for reharsal...i'll let the others report..just give time!

Allegra's report from gig thread

Time to report because....
it was the most confortable gig of my life.

I was sitting on stage so my higer half could dance and my lower half could be comfortably seated.
I was very satisfied to be in front row lateral in this way because, for the first time, people behind me was not furious about my height, because i was seated and they were standing.
The stage was my wardrobe and i placed my bag and my jacket.

Of course, i continually risked to be watering by sweat and spits of the popstar, but i'm quite sure he has not swine flu, so i'm safe.

The gig was fast and short so it was impossible to be bored...
the crowd of true fans (the first 2 or 3 rows) were so happy and relaxed because they were conscious that all the fans were there (rich, poor, winner of contensts and not winner of contests, because the entrance was free and for all italian fans).

The popstar was quite good and very gentle with the crowd because he speak everytime in italian (even if he included bad words ).

So.. a very fun night for me and my friends fans Mfcers and not.
For few hours i totally ignored that, usually, i hate Dolce&Gabbana style (the venue was their) and i was very happy to be there, thanks to DJ Tv and Universal Music Italy

I has eye contacts with his feet, and, maybe also with his knees, always because i was sitting on the floor of the little stage

A not so incredible experience (to smile and to sing to feet and knees) but quite funny

but very touching cause you could witness how painful it was!

he always tries to jump with the good foot...but he limps, he limps a lot when he walks

yes, but he is quite irresponsable! (and their feet told me, they spoke to me often during the gig, since we were so close)
he did also the jump with the legs back!

maybe someone must say him that is professionality is strictly referred to singing, it is not necessary to jump, if he has pain... poor boy.

Ok, I'm probably not going to make much sense this early in the morning, in the office, on 6 hours' sleep

Firstly I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who arranged this, and not only that, that everyone who could be there was there. And Robi, you are a rock star

I still can't believe how close we were

I was right against the stage, with a photographer in front of me, poor bloke, I think I bumped/knocked my hand on his bald head a few too many times!! It was wonderful though

Don't ask me about the setlist, I'm glad someone remembers! I was disappointed he didn't do Lollipop though, even after they brought the metal bins out... Before the encore though we were all singing LT, and then they came out and did it

I expected there not to be much of anything new, cos of what the party was, and I was surprised he did BE actually! Very, very happy though, as I've got blue eyes an' all

You could tell he was in pain, he didn't have to tell us, he sang a lot with his eyes closed, but still insisted on jumping around!!

Lots of interaction, and like Robi said, you could tell he was very happy

Italy obviously does him good!

And it was free, I can't believe it

Like at Parenti I had problems with my camera, not only dead batteries like before, but a full memory at one point, so during BIOTG I was frantically trying to delete photos!!

I'll put the ones I took up later this evening.

And there was glitter everywhere afterwards, very funny to see it all over the wet pavement outside!

Edit: One more thing, his Italian is insane

So he got a couple of prompts from us, but blimey, he speaks it so well!!
