  1. It was truly amazing to be in the Polka Dot Choir in Zurich! I had so much fun and it was one of the best evenings I've ever had! At first, it was just Salvador and me who were there. I asked Tim if we were the only two people who applied for Zurich and he said there were more but we were the only good ones. It seemed a bit weird to me that they would reject people but then go pick up people from the queue... But after waiting for what seemed like forever we were finally 7 people and the choir was complete. I enjoyed meeting all of you! It was a completely new experience for me to spend the evening with complete strangers and I'm kind of proud of myself for not being ridiculously shy like I normally am. After a quick rehearsal and soundcheck we waited again... And waited... We tried to figure out some dance moves and stuff but I think we (or I at least) forgot a lot of it again once on stage. After a long period of waiting, Mika finally popped his head into our little room! I was so amazed. I've never seen Mika close-up, only from front row so this moment was very special to me. He said that we looked like we needed some energy but I guess we were just kind of tired from waiting. After that came my favorite part of the evening. Mika, his band and the choir all stood in a circle in a small room and did some warming up. At first, Mika said that he would do something (a sound or the like) and we should copy it. He started to do some punches in the air. I was standing right across from him and then he looked at me and said "You're not very good at hitting people". He told me to punch harder and I tried my best. Everyone stopped and looked at me and I had to punch alone and I was just like It was kind of embarrassing but at least I had my little moment with Mika. After that, we sang Popular and it was so beautiful to stand in that little room and everyone singing with Mika. The show was awesome but went by so fast! I enjoyed every second of it though. I was standing in the first row, second to Mika's side and it turned out that I had the perfect spot because every time he came to the choir he looked right at me. I loved seeing the audience from the stage and just being able to experience this feeling to sing in front of so many people... It's likely that I won't ever get to do something like that ever again. I think the choir got better and better throughout the concert. For the last couple of songs, we were jumping and dancing around and I think no one really focused on singing anymore. After the show was over, we went down again and all of us were really happy. Mama P said something like "much better than being a lollipop girl, right?". We waited for a while and thankfully (I was worried that I would miss my last train home), Mika came out after about 15 minutes or so. He seemed to be in a bit of a hurry so unfortunately, we didn't get individual pictures. But we got a group picture and he signed our stuff. He also said something about not wanting to talk because he had 3 shows in a row. I guess it's understandable that he was trying not to waste his energy with such a tight schedule. We also got a picture with the band! Like I said, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience! Every time I went to a Mika concert, I always dreamed about being his background singer and I guess singing in the Polka Dot Choir is the closest I can get to that dream! And it combined two of my favorite things in the world: Mika and singing.
  2. Thanks everyone! Today's THE day! I wouldn't be surprised at all if I was the only one who applied for Zurich... Mika fans are hard to find around here (unfortunately). I'm looking forward to meeting some of you!
  3. Hi guys! I know I'm not very active on here but I've been an active Mika fan for the past 5 years. Today I got the news that I made it into the choir for Zurich and I am beyond excited!!!
  4. I'll try I have no idea how you guys look like... And I think no one knows me because I'm not that active here. Oh well, we'll see I think around 3 or 4 pm. I can't earlier because I have to go to an exhibition with my school in the morning. And I think that should be early enough... If not I'll just fight my way to the front Yes, your phone number would be good... And do you have a picture of you?
  5. Hey Swiss people I hope to see you on Saturday!
  6. It's okay, I can speak French... It's not perfect but okay. My mother grew up in and around Lausanne and so I grew up speaking both German and French. But I stopped talking French but I still hear it every day from my mother
  7. Haha, I'll try my best You guys are so kind! Now I'm even more looking forward to it You both speak French right?
  8. Yes, I'm coming too It's so near to where I live so I just had to buy those tickets! I really hope to meet you this time! Not like in Basel where I was too shy:blush-anim-cl:
  9. LOVE this idea I've been looking for a pen friend for a really long time. Maybe I'll find someone here! I'm from Switzerland and I would love to have a penfriend from the USA... or England or Australia or any other country who's far away and English speaking.
  10. Hello everyone, I'm Swiss too There aren't a lot of Swiss German speaking people here, are there? I wish you happy Easter!
  11. Finally, I got some time to write something... So my friend and I were at the venue at around 3 pm. We didn't get a number because we didn't know who we had to ask & honestly, I was too shy to ask But we managed to stand right to the barriers and we were one of the first persons who were let in after the numbered people. So we made it to the 2nd row and I was really relieved and happy The supporting act was okay. I don't like supporting acts in general because I think they're unnecessary... I'm here for Mika, not for anyone else But they did a great job regarding their age (13, 15 and 16). I liked the beginning with the school boy scene. But I was so anxious to see him and it lasted so long until he finally came. But then when he came it was like BAAM, he's here!!! I love this magical moment when he comes on stage. It's always like 'OMG, he's REAL!'. I don't really know in which order the songs came.. It just went by so fast. All of the sudden he was gone and everything was over. I was like My highlights were 'Over My Shoulder', 'I See You' and 'Blame It On The Girls'. OMS was just brilliant! His voice is so incredibly good in this song. I love the lyrics of ISY, so that's probably why this was also a highlight. I liked the part in BIOTG where the audience was divided in two halfs and the one part was singing "Blame it one the girls" and the other "Blame it on the boys". Other highlights were the part where Mika was presenting his band and the smoking machine went on.. He laughed sooo cute The part where he messed up the beginning of 'Toy Boy' was also very funny. And of course Mika shirtless:mf_lustslow: When I saw Mika in 2007 I sweared that I would meet him next time when he was in Switzerland. So I absolutely wanted to meet him this time after the show. But I couldn't thanks to those crappy train connections Our last train was leaving at 12.20 so we could've stayed only for 1 hour. And because my friend wasn't feeling so well & we didn't think that he was coming in this one hour we decided to leave. So next time for sure!!! That's it.. I'm sorry if I repeated everything others already said, but I just needed to write it off my soul btw thanks for all the pictures and vids! I did some too but my cam is old and the quality really sucks.
  12. Thanks... And where do I get this number?? (You can answer me in French:thumb_yello:) I'll be there at around 3 pm. I hope that's early enough (I can't come earlier because of school). I'm getting more excited by the minute
  13. I'm soooo exciiiited can't wait to see him again! What is it with those numbers???
