  1. *Proud Irish Fan right here!* Thanks for posting!
  2. I'm good at drawing, but most of the time I can't read my own handwriting it's so bad! They're very different things!
  3. I hadn't noticed the god/God thing he wrote, that's very cool!
  4. I love Mika. I just... yeah. Everytime I read a new interview with him, he always manages to say one or two things that, like his music, are expressed lightly or with nonchalance, but actually dismiss an entire aspect of the social world, or culture, or whatever, something utterly stupid that prevales regardless. And he's just so outside it, so aware of what and who he is, and so unashamed of it. 'Apparently you're supposed to lie to make life as easy as possible. Anyway...' Just, brilliant. I really do love this man.
  5. I'm not a non-fan of Dita's, but I don't see what's so appealing about her either. I know virtually nothing about her personality because her appearance is basically all people ever talk about, and I'm not really into that. That said, I like that she's obviously quirky, and that suits Mika. Unlike a lot of you, I don't think they'd make a good romantic couple, but I do think they make a fantastic couple of friends.
  6. I want that lyric sheet so badly. I've actually apologised to my Twitter followers for the amount of spamming that I'm going to be doing on basically a daily basis. I want the sheet LOL! Also, with regard to the stage singers... omggggggg. I hope he comes to Ireland, and asks for them here. I would SO BE RIGHT UP THERE. Trying not to scream his own songs in his face. No but seriously it'd be a kickass thing to do.
  7. Oh god. The hair. I wish he would grow it back, it was so purdy.
  8. I have a question about interpretation of the lyrics - The lines 'And I wish there was a way to give you a hand to hold, because you don't have to die in your glory; die to never grow old.' I keep flipping between two interpretations of those lines and I'm wondering what other people think he means by them. Interpretation #1: He's basically telling the kids/soldiers they don't have to die in order to maintain a kind of youth - you can live and live young at heart your whole life. This is the interpretation I initially took, but I'm not sure how it fits in the context of the rest of the song. Interpretation #2: He's referring back to the 'being broke with a devil in your head, thinking you'd be better off dead' - and implying that he wants to give them a hand to hold because now, though they didn't die in the war, they're so broken now that they will never grow old, in the sense of living your life out the way it should be lived, and reaching the end of it with satisfaction. Thoughts?
  9. This is fantastic haha. Such a fantastic interview. Mika is such a character! Smooth and sassy at the same time!
  10. Songs of the standard edition Origin Of Love: 10/10 Lola: 5/10 Stardust: 5/10 Make You Happy (Miami Edit / with strings): 8/10 Underwater: 9/10 Overrated: 9/10 Kids: 7/10 Love You When I’m Drunk: 6/10 Step With Me: 8/10 Popular Song: 7/10 Emily: 9/10 Heroes: 8/10 Celebrate: 5/10 Bonus tracks Elle Me Dit: 9/10 Celebrate (acoustic): 5/10 Origin of Love (acoustic): 9/10 Kids (acoustic): 7/10 Love You When I'm Drunk (acoustic): 6/10 Overrated (acoustic): 9/10 Make You Happy (LA Edit / shortfilm-version): 8/10 Tah Dah: 7/10 There are some bonus tracks I haven't heard, so I left them out. I'm amazed by the love for 'Stardust'. I think it's incredible mediocre, and would hate for it to be a single. I'm also surprised I've given the only 10 for 'Origin Of Love', which I think is probably the most accomplished song on the album, if not my favourite.
