John Alan Posted September 25, 2012 Share Posted September 25, 2012 just read on wikipedia (not always a trusted source !!! lol) ... that Underwater will be the 3rd single in France and will be released on the 11th of November and a music video will be shot in October in Bordeaux the conformation was made on 22 of September apparently !!! ... mind you i do remember Mika saying that Underwater maybe the next single !!! I'm not so sure that Lola will be a single -- they've apparently made a video for it with Dita von Teese, but I think that will be more along the lines of the video they made for Make You Happy and Origin of Love. Nollaig Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 I think this is my favourite song off the new album. It was no surprise to find 95 pages of discussion on it! It's very hard to choose a favourite, because when I'm listening to the album I'm like, 'this one.... no no, this one. No THIS one.' But Underwater is just stunning, I love the lyrics, and like Mika says himself in the 'making of' video, it's a ballad but it still makes you move! The chorus is so ethereal, and I adore the origins of the song, and just everything. I don't think it's the most accomplished song on the album (there's far too much adventure in the other songs for this one to be the best), but it's possibly the most beautiful. It sounds like a raw rehearsal rather....On the one hand, he doesn`t use his voice in a usual way - there`s no high singing, no "top of the voice" or a well-known falsetto ( that`s what I actually love about Mika`s voice:wub2:). But on the other hand Mika shows a great vocal range - his baritone is thrilling. MB that disharmony makes the version so... special. Mmmm, there`s someting about it.
