well, you can choose "other" from the list of counties, and on the left it says:

The BBC aims to truly reflect the nations, regions and diverse communities we serve, and to involve all sections of our audience in making shows. We want to encourage people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to apply to participate as members of studio audiences and contributors to programmes, to tour our buildings and to join us at events.

:wink2:

would be great, especially since there's this G.A.Y. thing the same weekend... but flights are too expensive for me, 200€.

but as there are so many small gigs in different countries coming up, i hope for one in germany as well. :wub2:

I think this refers to "nations" England, Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, regions - of the UK - diverse communities - eg asian, afro carribean, living in the UK. the "we serve" bit implies TV licence payers in the UK. It's a free gig after all.

But if it lets you choose a non-UK country in the options, then good luck :thumb_yello:

That says counties, not countries.

So it's like regions of the UK:wink2:

It's good. But I bet it will be like the Blackpool gig, where it's only shown on the red button on TV and there's absolutely no advertising for it anywhere.

I still wish he was being played on Radio One as there'd be more chance of Celebrate being a hit because the youngsters with MP3 players would hear it.

But I am glad about this; and Jo Whiley deserves a gold medal from MFC as she has always championed Mika!

You go girl! We love you!!!

I hope MCFers'll be able to go :))) This gig sounds pretty exciting~ Too abd it's on a working day ^^'

I'm going to wait to see him in December, but I'll be listening in. I hope they advertise the gig well on the radio. It could be brilliant if it gets a good amount of listeners, and if it's also shown on TV. But there needs to be plenty of advertising for it and I hope it's on a proper BBC TV channel, not just online.

It will go out live on Jo's show that night.

She does this for most major artists. The Elbow gig even got a Gold Sony Award.

Tonights the night the ballot closes, so does anyone know when they tell people if they have been successful?

Found it on the FAQs of the site :wink2:

How will my ticket be issued and when will I receive it?

When we receive your request we add your details to a waiting list.

If you're successful, you should expect to receive your tickets approximately two weeks before the show date. (Please note that delays can occur because of the late return of tickets, late confirmation of artists or other unforeseen circumstances.)

So, I think that they will contact the winner by September 20 :wink2:

Celebrate was on in The T mobile shop that I was in on Saturday - I think it is getting more exposure than any of the tracks on TBWKTM already :thumb_yello:

No because despite entering for a lot of these I have never been successful! :aah:
