Christine
Your misheard lyrics made me giggle Anne! Your English is so good but I guess it's hard when you're listening to a song on a video like that. I can never make heads or tails of the French stuff. crazyaboutmika
Your misheard lyrics made me giggle Anne! Your English is so good but I guess it's hard when you're listening to a song on a video like that. I can never make heads or tails of the French stuff. Well the sound on my netbook is awful and I was in a moving camping car as an excuse and my husband kept talking to me , how annoying I did a better job with Good Gone Girl, even if I didn't get all of it either but I had it in a MP3 player and with good earphones But when there's noise around I'm really bad at hearing...even when Mika was singing Elle Me Dit I had problems with it too I hope I get my son's laptop when he changes his because the sound is much better on it Edited April 2, 2013 by crazyaboutmika

crazyaboutmika
a follower gave us this hint " Hia Leah….these are 2 words in arabic. Hia means “she” and Leah means “Mine”. So the song is called she’s mine if it has the purpose of arabic meaning!" Oh how sweet :wub2::wub2: Thanks a lot Sookiee

dcdeb
My hearing must be going bad... someone able to transcribe the 'added lyrics'? You mean his little ad libs starting at around 2:13? He says: Maybe a little bit too hip for me. (But I love you that's all.) Maybe a little bit too much gourmet coffee for me. (I love you that's all.) But the boy behind the coffee stand next door gave me a free tea, so I love you, that's all. I don't often get free tea. (That's all.) Oh Williamsburg, I love you, that's all. Oh, I love you. That's all. Oh W burg, I love you, that's all. Oh Brooklyn, I want to eat you. That's all. New York City, I want to have you. That's all.

Hero
This is lovely! So sweet and gentle, and calming. ❤ And of course he played with the lyrics for the shows.
mellody
I had a chat with a friend about this song a while ago, and we noticed that it could be about a place as well as about a person - or even, the people in the audience. I think he's playing with this double meaning, you can interpret it either way. It's funny, because it reminds me of when I was translating for Mika on stage in Bolzano and he wanted me to translate "Bolzano you are nice!" and I wasn't sure for a moment whether to translate it to address it to the audience or to the city - not sure anymore what exactly I was thinking, but my brain went "wtf does he want to say with that?!" ... it's clever to make a song out of this and add the double meaning in the lyrics from the beginning to the end. I'm still a bit sad that I never got to hear Hialeah live, I like it a lot.
