Caro Dio, tu hai creato tante persone come me... magre.

(E. Semmola)

I've read that the younger fans didn't behave well during and after the concert, when they practically attacked the car of Mika as he passed to leave, beating on the car windows with their hands, screaming like crazy, is it true?

Because if this is true it's a very immature and hysterical behavior on a night that was very important for Mika, after what happened this summer.Or the message #rompiamoilsilenzio  is no longer important for them?

I don't know what they did during the concert, the only annoying thing to me was that people behind me kept telling others to remain seated. It's a Mika gig, how can you not dance?! But yes, what happend outside is very true. We were standing in two lines on the sidewalks but as soon as they saw the car behind the gate, the crazy people clumped together in front of it. I myself shouted to get away from there and stay quiet otherwise he would never stop. They stepped back into lines but when the car passed by, they went nuts screaming and banging on the windows and trying to stop it. It did slow down a bit because I think Mika recognised some fans but then it got even worse, his driver had to speed up to run away from the madness and a girl even got hurt. I don't know whether he had any intention to stop with fans for a while, but if he had, they made it impossible. He only waved and smiled from inside the car.

yes, and generally artists who attract also a younger audience have people with crazy behaviour .... IMHO is good to see many people of every age being enthusiastic about his music and gigs, but if they go so crazy, it's worse for everyone... maybe if they stayed quite he would have stopped... and maybe the security should expect their craziness and organize them behind barriers when Mika is going to come out

:) Imo, all kind of normal enthusiasm during his concerts, like singing, dancing etc is very good and supporting.  But when people "attack" his car afterwards, and try to stop him - or "force him"  to give attention, I think it's just crazy - and it must also feels scary for him... :mf_rosetinted:

It's not only scary, it's dangerous. I felt so embarrassed and sorry for what was happening that I wished I could leave, but when he passed by in his car I saw he was looking out and waving so I waved back. But believe me, I'd have preferred not to be seen in such a shameful occasion

I have uploaded a video of OMS. Please don't share it with M's name or the full songtitle or otherwise my account might get blocked (I live in Germany  :annoyed_h4h: ), but you can share it otherwise of course :wink2: Sorry for all the shaking, I had to held the camera really high  :aah:

I will upload my pictures soon. I think some of them are rather good, even though I stood way back.

About the situation after the concert: It was dangerous. It made me sad to see those girls screaming and loosing control over themselves. If only they knew what good things could happen if they knew how to behave, I blame the security in the first place. I went to the backstage-exit when Mika arrived (I had something for him that I wanted him to have before the gig). When I was there and alone there were about ten securities staring at me. I didn't do anything. I stood one metre away from that huge gate with sharp things on top that seperated me from Mika and the securities. I don't know what they thought I was planning to do  :aah: Anyway, in the evening with maybe 100 fans there were two security guys that didn't do anything until Mika appeared. Then they said twice to stand in line and used their own bodies to block five fans from the streets. Bad organisation, I'd say!

That's my report! It's long... I know but whatever...! ;)

Mika in Florence. My first concert of this Heaven Tour.

I arrived in the city by high speed train at 9:30, together with my two friends, we visited Florence, spent a few our lingering among the beauties and the arts of some churches and museums.

We spent a couple hours in Santa Maria Novella and found out later that Mika was probably there not long after we had left!

We met with Chy, Alyara and Sarik31 in the early evening not far from the centre, together we strolled to the Mandela Forum chatting and giggling.

Alyara handed me the flower headband that she so eagerly wanted me to wear, we took a few pics, we entered the forum and separated. Alyara and Sarik31 walked to their seats, Chy stayed with us, even though she had a better seat in another place of the venue, and happily enjoyed the gig with me and my friends.

The Citizens appeared when the forum was still half empty, so they played with still the lights on. I liked their sound even if I found some parts of their songs a little bit repetitive.

I didn’t know what I should expect from Mika’s show I had already seen him in Milan in June but I knew the fall tour had nothing to do with what he had done so far.

Since the beginning of this new project I made a point of not watching any video of any of his shows around Europe, I didn’t want to spoil the beauty and the surprise of the new set and arrangements of the songs.

It was hard but I did it, and I can finally say it was totally worth it!

I knew from some pictures I couldn’t help seeing on the socials, that there were a huge “Heaven” sign, a caravan, a huge stained glass door, a sparkling globe, the sinking Titanic and some other stuff behind, but I had no idea how the scene would appear and change.

He suddenly appeared on stage, and started singing No Place In Heaven standing near the caravan, and he did the first verse a cappella. I wasn’t prepared, it got me emotional, I kept smiling like I was the happiest person on Earth, almost everyone was silent, his voice was the only thing filling the air, it was a moment of pure magic.

Then the music started and it got even better. I was in awe when it finished, the intro of Big Girl began and the caravan turned into an amazing pipe organ, my jaw dropped, it was just wonderful. The sign “Heaven” was so perfect, it described the moment…

I wasn’t in parterre as I had been in Milan, so I had to refrain my dance a little bit, but I could definitely listen to Mika’s voice in a much better way, without many people singing badly and loudly in my ears for the whole gig, and I can say he was in great shape.

I don’t remember the setlist so I can’t name all the songs, but I can surely say I loved Origin of love, it gave me goose bumps, I adored Underwater and his way of directing the lights, the new version of Boum boum boum was funny and catchy.

The globe descending from the ceiling on the delicate sound of a music box-like instrument created a dreamy and fairy tale atmosphere, Good Guys played in this way was such a sweet lullaby!

I enjoyed Staring at the sun, Stardust, Rain, Grace Kelly because of all the people singing together.

Another song I had the chance to listen for the first time live was Good Wife. Very good vibes.

I adored how he entered the stage through the huge door at a certain point. The whole colourful set, the light tricks and the scene transforming and changing.

I liked Chiara even if I prefer Stardust to be sung by Mika alone, I particularly love his voice in that song.

Happy Ending happened, I was very pleased to listen to it. Chy had just expressed her wish about that song when it began, it gave me chills.

Promiseland live was THE song I had been waiting for, since the first time I saw the setlist of the new tour.

It was pure energy. You just couldn’t help dancing and jumping, even when you’re not in the middle of the parterre. The little variations he did were absolutely charming and amazing, the way he screamed some parts of the song were really an injection of adrenaline and power, straight to your body and brain. His voice went from the bass lines to the high notes, with a perfection that really left me jaw-dropped.

The best live song, hands down…

Almost at the end of the gig he pronounced a sentence in which he thanked us for supporting him and saying that we helped him having a stronger and a more tolerant heart. That was quite moving and I could hear many people applauding.

Last Party and its live beat is one of the best changes from the album versions ever. I grew fond of it in Milan in June, and I loved it even better in Florence.

The conclusion of the gig was a completely unexpected Over my shoulder. I must admit that’s not one of my favourite songs, but when you listen to it live, you can’t help opening your ears and your heart and listening carefully in silence, being delighted by his pure and crystalline voice.

I exited the venue with a heart full of joy and pride.

We met with Alyara and Sarah outside the venue; we walked together to the gate from where Mika was supposedly going to leave and where I saw Saskia, Robertina, Myriam and a few other people from MFC.

We waited very shortly and were then told that Mika would come out in a few minutes.

There were many people waiting for him, many teenagers and young girls. As soon as they saw the car arriving, they packed just in front of the gate, preventing it to be opened.

The security guys told us to form two lines so that the car could pass. I heard Alyara telling them to keep the rows and Myriam warning them to behave, but as soon as the car with Mika inside crossed the gate, everyone gathered around it, someone bumped the car windows and many of them started screaming his name. I saw him waving and smiling from the rear seats, with his mobile light turned on, and then the car slowly went forward. When it stopped for a few seconds to avoid people crossing the road, a group of fans tried to chase it but fortunately his driver managed to drive away from there.

It was an amazing night, there hasn’t been the cherry on top but I don’t care too much. I’m very happy with what that day gave to me: a blissful concert, a lovely meeting with some MFCers, especially with Chy and Alyara, with whom I constantly chat in our Translating team group, and who I had been looking forward to see for months.

Thanks girls, thanks Mika, thanks MFC for another great experience!
