I uploaded my videos to youtube. For some reason the quality looks really bad when I open the links. I hope it's due to my connection and not a problem the videos or the upload have. Anyway, you're welcome to share the vids, but please don't use M's name or the complete song titles when doing so or otherwise my account might get blocked (weird German laws...)

Pictures still to come!

Magical night :wub2: Full set, Promiseland, Ordinary Man, stunning Happy Ending. A LOT of contact with the audience, for example the cutest young girl on stage with him and noticing Rose and David as soon as he came on stage. His voice was absolutely beautiful, I'm totally amazed! I don't understand how he can still impress me like this :wub2:

just curious, who are Rose and David?

Rak1 and freddiesdouble here on mfc, both are fans since the very beginning and mika knows them. ;)

Apparently HE without a mic in such a big venue wasn't mika's best idea, looking at his latest tweets. :aah:

Thanks so much. Your vids are always one of the best.   :huglove:

Thank you, dear! But this time I'm not very happy with them :) We were pushed too much, and the girl besides me had too long hands.

Do you have Staring At The Sun?

No, but you know why - I was waving the paper suns and throwing them, it was such a fun :)

It doesn't seem to have picked up Rose's post..... Glad to hear you had such a great time Rose. I really, really wanted to be able to go to this gig but it just wasn't possible. It is driving me nuts hearing about all the shows... But I know that I have to be patient. I just worry that London will be different with being a seated theatre ...... I want it to be as amazing as all the other shows with all the props etc.

Thanks everyone for all of the reviews, pic and videos.

Not sure the caravan will survive to the end. It seems to be falling apart. :teehee: A large piece of the front of it fell off during the show. Just as well Mika wasn't standing in front of it at the time.

Eliminando fronteras y prejuicios machistas («Origin of Love»), cantando en francés («Elle Me Dit»).

I think the stage set as a whole is a unity - i can only assume the story it's supposed to tell, haven't read an interview yet where he talks about the meaning... but for that, the caravan is relevant, yes.

I was at two shows without the stage set tho, and they were still totally amazing. I'm sure london will be special, with or without the props. ;)

[REVIEW]

WAMBU es

http://www.wambu.es/mika-alegra-a-madrid-con-un-magnifico-espectaculo/

We are goldenLast party encarrilarían la parte final del concierto.

The caravan? It's amazing and he did spend a good part of the show at it.

I'm sure it's only a matter of nailing the part back on.

A good part of the show centres around it, yes :thumb_yello:

thank you for the replies :biggrin2: I just wondered 'why a caravan' as I couldn't find any relevance in any of the lyrics. Yes I am sure that I will love the show no matter what but I would like to see the full set if possible. But .... As long as Mika shows up... That's the main thing ... With or without his caravan :mf_rosetinted: Edited by kath

Rose - with regard to Staring at the Sun vids..... I have found that when I am searching you tube for vids of things that are particularly relevant and special to me, I keep checking from time to time.... And even sometimes after several years you may be lucky and eventually find one. Good luck :thumb_yello:

Such a long time since I did a gig report

So ... we Queued from 7 am .... always fun doing that they they decide to form 3 lines to let people in, I felt like I ran a marathon to get front row (half way around the arena, down 4 flights of stairs, lights off then across the length of the floor phew!), just stage left in front of the caravan is a great spot, pleased the MFC was all around that area

The support band was brilliant and already had a bond with the fans ! seemed no time at all before he came on ... brought back a lot of memories to actually see him again!

He came on to NPIH, for me it was a change from the days of relax .. that energy changed to a more relaxed slower build up and it worked! ... then leading into Big Girl ! ya

I was so pleased he played Promiseland, Happy Ending without the band just shows his voice is something else .. I loved that, there still seems to be a lot of songs I would really like to hear live .. but he seems to have his "old favs" and general structure .. oh and he finished with Ordinary man, very unexpected, I really saw little difference from several years ago, the energy, the voice, the engagement with the fans

Afterwards I decided to hang around to meet him with everyone else, then a small little bar next to the venue grabbed my attention, next thing the fans went to another entrance so obviously he was coming out of somewhere else

Staying there I got talking to some local Spanish people, it was playing Mika videos and music .. happy place to be as I waited for everyone to come back

While there some members of the crew started to come over, got chatting to them and others

Next table to us a guy got talking to us (our crew had returned by then) and said his friend was Mika's cousin ... did not believe him actually  :naughty:  , so he showed us photo's backstage to prove it and gave us a couple of aftershow passes they had been to so we could keep (not us .. they went .. not us .. we did not go to an aftershow party .. repeat and read)

We stayed at that bar and had a great time until late, I love hanging out with you lot (and I love Madrid too obviously), it was raining MEGA heavy when we left, the band saw us from a distance and waved at early o'clock .. but even crossing 20 meters was too much in that rain

Overall just fantastic ... one of the highlights was Mika seeing Rose, sitting down and singing to her ... it was a sweet moment, also how a young child threw a puppet on the stage and he sat her on the piano

Madrid is amazing, even better spending it with special friends from around the world.. will be top of my list next tour  :thumb_yello:

(photos of Mika singing to Rose below ... fabby) .. thanks to Asun's amazing bf for taking them ... it was BEYOND special .. I loved his beaming face ....  you can see for yourselves
