Thanks Rose. He did it years ago... Probably 2007/8 so it will be interesting to see how it differs this time.

I missed it today...did he speak a lot?

i didn't type up what Mika said about "I Saw The Light" by Todd Rundgren, but here's what he said about "Hometown Glory" by Adele: “I think that there’s a couple songs that changed the path of Adele’s career. And ‘Hometown Glory’ is one of them.  I mean it’s easy to say it’s something like ‘Chasing Pavements’ was the breakthrough but it wasn’t, it was a breakthrough from a radio point of view and from a commercial point of view, but the other songs that pulled it much closer to her complicated, and quite beautiful story that she has had already at such a young age and the maturity that she has to describe her emotions. She’s so emotionally intelligent. She’s not someone who’s the most well-read person in the world but when she speaks she does it like this kind of like wise, zen Buddhist kind of like--[laughs] She has a sense of perspective and you feel reassured and I think that’s what so nice about this song.”

So today was Dusty Springfield, I Only Wanna Be With You and The Bee Gees Inside And Out.

Looks like tomorrow one pick will be Pet Shop Boys, which slipped out in the conversation today  :naughty:

Kath, do you recall the songs he chose last time or know where it's hiding here on the site?

Can you download the R2 app on your phone Eriko?

If you can, you should be able to download this from the Ken Bruce Presents Tracks Of My Years link.

I tried, but it's not working for me   All I can do is listen and share...I have a very basic phone and that could be the reason why :dunno:

I followed all those steps though  http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/3xnp8b5CMvq0Z5K7r61JZJm/download-tracks-of-my-years-with-the-bbc-iplayer-radio-app
