ENFIN ! Alors qu’on s’ennuyait dans cette sixième saison de « The Voice », beaucoup de candidats nous ont bluffés pour leurs premières prestations en direct. Dans chaque équipe, deux ont été sauvés par le public, et un troisième par son coach. L’équipe de Mika a ouvert le bal. Même s’il n’y avait rien à jeter, le trio The Sugazz, génial sur « Papaoutai », a été éliminé. Les talents de Florent Pagny se sont révélés un poil en dessous. On retiendra la jolie maturité d’Hélène sur « la Ceinture » d’Elodie Frégé et l’audace de Lucie qui a réinterprété du Michael Jackson avec brio. L’énergique Shaby poursuit également mais la Néo-Calédonienne Julia Paul reste sur le carreau. Du côté de Zazie, c’est l’incompréhension qui l’a emporté puisque l’intrigante Emmy Liyana a été éliminée au profit de Matthieu, décevant sur le « Requiem pour un con » de Gainsbourg. L’Italien Nicola Cavallaro – grâce à un « Caruso » risqué, et Marvin Dupré ont été sauvés par le public. Enfin, chez Matt Pokora, on a retrouvé la flamme du début de soirée. Dommage que Dilomé ait dû sortir alors que Marius avait maladroitement repris Jacques Brel. Ce dernier a profité du vote du public, tout comme Lisandro, qui a livré un incroyable show sur du Bruno Mars. Ann-Shirley, elle, nous a encore une fois emportés grâce à un titre de Coldplay. Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr., alias Mika, a seulement 1 an lorsque sa famille arrive à Paris, fuyant le Liban en guerre. Le « clan » s’installe un temps dans le XVIe arrondissement et, huit ans plus tard, décide de déménager à Londres. Quand il est admis à la prestigieuse London School of Economics, Mika vient de fêter ses 19 ans. Ce célèbre établissement forme l’élite de la finance mondiale et de nombreuses têtes pensantes dans le domaine des relations internationales. Delphine Arnault, héritière de l’empire du luxe LVMH, le milliardaire George Soros, et John Fitzgerald Kennedy sont passés par cette grande école. Et cette fois, Mika, qui n’avait plus rien à perdre, a dû être très convaincant puisque, dès le lendemain, il intégrait cette illustre école. Aujourd’hui, à 33 ans, le coach de The Voice ne regrette évidemment pas son choix. Et son public encore moins ! Alors qu’il dit avoir en horreur le snobisme et ceux qui en usent, que serait devenue sa créativité s’il était devenu banquier, trader ou politicien ? Il aurait sans doute réagi comme Mick Jagger, le chanteur des Rolling Stones qui a, lui aussi, quitté la London School of Economics en 1961, pour se consacrer à la musique, contre l’avis de son père, mais avec le succès que l’on sait. Le Liban, c’est aussi les couleurs du sud de la France, la chaleur humaine du Moyen-Orient. C’est la résilience. La vie. J’aime aller dans les montagnes enneigées puis déjeuner en tee-shirt sur les plages dans la même journée. La télé en Italie L’Italie est un pays extrêmement varié, avec de la folie et du romantisme. Les Italiens, comme les Libanais, ont le sens de la vie. Je m’y suis d’ailleurs installé en étant juré dans X Factor, en 2013, et, aujourd’hui, je réside une partie de l’année à Milan. Je travaille constamment. Pour l’émission Casa Mika, que j’anime sur Rai 2, nous avons créé un décor permanent… et j’ai même un lit dans ma loge !
