Well, hello peeps! We all know iMMa, one of our fav Mika's singers She's doing right now a project in which she needs you!! It's very simple: there are some pledges with her new album, t-shirts, handwritten lyric sheets, singing lessons, a day out with Erika in London, etc. You can pledge for whatever you want here: http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/erika She needs you because the deadline is near and we need a 100% so she can go on tour and release a new video for her career! We currently reached a 66% of the total, but we need a 100%! So, speaking on her behalf, we encourage you to take part on this iniciative! I'm sure you'll like a new Pled…

I've looked and can't believe that there's no thread for Jason Mraz yet! I've loved him since I first heard him with The Remedy -- it's not the same as it was with Mika, but still... there's something sweet about his voice, and I love his laid-back, almost hippy approach to music... and life in general, it seems. His new album "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." is great on so many levels, and the single, "I'm Yours," is so happy and uplifting to me... reminds me a bit of Bobby McFarrin's old "Don't Worry, Be Happy" tune, but still... I listen to it over and over again. If you go to Mraz's myspace, read his blogs -- they are often hysterical, ofte…

Unfortunatley, the only reason why I was exposed to his music was because MGMT was going to open for him:blush-anim-cl:. I ended up becoming a fan, and what can I say really, other than I love the guy. I wish I had known him years ago. His show was amazing, and really intense from the mosh pit point of view. I made alot of friends that night, and it was the first time I heard anyone dubbed "The King of the Hipsters" His fans are very dedicated, and for good reason. He doesn't talk much during the performances, he's all about the show. I still felt the love though. He was so cool up there. E-pro and Scarecrow are my favorite songs. Anyone else dig his styl…

Well, since we have decided each Beatles needs his own thread...here's one for MY favorite Beatle, Sir James Paul McCartney. I suppose you can discuss the "Paul is dead" theory here. If you really must.... Oh yes, and my Paul McCartney thread is much better than Sarie's George Harrison thread.

It seems like the MFC needs a little education in lesser dominant artists. The one and only Lucy Rose, who having met her I can say is absolutely lovely, defo needs a thread on here! Has anyone else seen her this year on tour?

Anybody interested in the band Puggy? I've been listening to their music for quite a while and now they have a new album out these days and I'm literally just back from their gig in Lille... I loved it! I thought they deserved a thread here (let me know if I'm making a mistake and there's already a thread about them) Some info about Puggy: Puggy is a band formed in 2004, when French bassist Romain Descampes and English vocalist Matthew Irons met Swedish drummer Egil "Ziggy" Franzén at a jazz school in Brussels. For this reason the band considers itself Belgian in origin. For the last five years, Puggy has toured all over the world, opening for prestigiou…

...because he's a Genius there are tons of things to say, lets start with a news http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2008/04/28/news-ticker-ghostface-killah-damon-albarn-lil-wayne-yo-la-tengo/ The prolific Damon Albarn will release a new album this summer featuring over 130 musicians, including a Chinese choir and an orchestra. Albarn declined to elaborate under what moniker this album would fall, only saying the title had “something of monkeys in there.” Amazing, innit?

I'm not really sure what to say about her except that she's British, plays piano, and makes amazing songs. Anyone heard of her?

Hi everyone, After I made sure that a thread like this doesn't exist already I decided to open one on Bon Jovi. They've been my favorite band for ages and guided me through many not too funny years. I saw them in Düsseldorf last year and have to admit that it was the best concert I've ever been to . Today I bought their new single and I'm really looking forward to their new album in June. OK, enough from me. Are there any other Bon Jovi fans out there who also tend to faint when they see the bum of a certain 45 year old singer (or just enjoy the music) ? So this is the place to discuss everything Bon Jovi related and I'm looking forward to meeting other fans in her…

I hope you don't mind, but I'd love to open this thread to show you a little bit about my band, and what we are up to, and just spread the word about us a little. We're The White Wolves, and the band consists of Jess Whyke (lead vocalist), me (acoustic guitar and backing vocalist), Barrington Brooke (awesome name, lead guitarist), Edward Davis (bass) and Will Davis (drummer). IMG_0119 by Eloise Shaw, on Flickr We've been together since June 2012, and we do gigs now and again. http://www.facebook.com/TheWhiteWolvesUK We also have a youtube channel, so go and have a look! http://www.youtube.com/TheWhiteWolvesUK Last night we put together …

Following Mika’s kid-friendly version of Popular I googled for some other songs children are listening to nowadays and I had this idea to collect children’s music from different countries. The reason behind is that when I as young children listened to music composed to them by adults rather than listening to child-friendly versions of adult songs. So we’d better collect these before they disappear. I do love them. I have favourite ones from other countries as well but of course I’ll start with my childhood – no Hungarian speaking ones in the first post though so that I don’t scare anyone away. The first one is the title track of a cartoon that includes no talkin…

Prince Lovers and Fams...this is the place 4 u... : ) Since there is no thread dedicated to this musical genius, I decided I should create one for the eve of his 50th birthday(June 7th). The funky man is turning 50! He still looks good and most of all, still rolling out the awesome music! So in honor of this strange-soulful-musical-creature-from-another-galaxy, Bon Anniversaire! In the beginning God made the sea But on the 7th day he made me He was tryin' to rest y'all when He heard the sound Sound like a guitar cold gettin' down I tried to bust a high note, but I bust a string My God was worried 'til he heard me sing My name is Prince and I…

I've already hinted about this to a couple of you but I have a feeling this might be something a lot of MFCers would enjoy - a Danish band called Mew. Their style is really unique and sometimes very dream-like. I'm bad at explaining my love towards these guys so I'll just let their music do the rest of the work. Here are a couple of their most well-known songs. I hope it's okay to start a new thread for the band, I couldn't find an open one.
