Hi all~! I'm back in Toronto, exhausted and unbelievably happy. I'm going to keep this short tonight but will post my pictures & report on the weekend.

Just want to say it was the most incredible, overwhelming, unforgettable, un-toppable day. The gig was spectacular, and the day as a whole could not have been more perfect if I scripted it. It's still so surreal to me.

To Christine and Sariflor, I had a blast sharing the hotel with you... thank you so much for sharing this experience with me. It would not have been the same if either of you had been missing. Suzy and CMF, we really missed having you there.

To Mana and Standard Toaster, I love you guys. You were so generous to us and to all the MFC'ers. Mana, thank you for taking me to see the ocean on Santa Monica Beach, thanks for sharing your favourite breakfast spot, and thanks for holding my hand when I got ridiculously fangurly in the front row after Mika held my hand for what seemed to me like an eternity. Andrew, thank you so much for driving us around for two days, thank you for all the incredible kindness and diplomacy you showed to MFC'ers (you handle stress better than I ever will), and thank you for making it the most incredible series of events I can remember in a long time. What a night we all had, from pre-gig to post-gig and everything in between.

Charlotte, you are so much fun!!! I loved hanging out with you in line, and going for that walk through Hollywood, seeing the Viper Room, etc etc etc. We definitely need to keep in touch.

Nono, you are such a sweet person - and I am so glad you got in to the M&G afterward. You were the very first in line, in a somewhat dodgy-looking area by yourself till Sara, Christine and I got there, and you had to stand beside a guy drinking beer on a stoop at 9am. Bravo. We were all cheering for you and so happy you had a good time. Glad your tummy felt better too.

Sivan, Daydreambeliever/Britney, FindingMyWords, ArtsyFartsy, and everyone else who shared the day with us... it was so nice to meet you!

A few more things (this was supposed to be short because I'm fully zonked and have to go to work tomorrow!)

- Ella is even more adorable in person... a very very happy dog. Greg wasn't really into the scene but he was gracious and cool to chat with briefly anyway. His wife didn't know Ella had a Twitter account.

- Yasmine looked stunning as usual. I had a lovely chat with her about illustration and how challenging it is to make it a full time career.

- John... what can I say. The man is an absolute sweetheart. I almost got a little fangurly with him by the end of the day. It was wonderful being able to get to know him.

- At the very end of Blame It on the Girls (the clapping song) Mika was right in front of me and I gave him a big thumbs up for the song, as in "that ROCKED!" and he gave me a big high five and then held my hand with a firm grip as if to say "YEAH! I knew that song would be a hit!!". You can see it at the end of Christine's video (not sure if she's posted it yet)... but you can't really see me. But that was me. And I almost died. And Mana had to practically pick me up off the floor. The seven of us (Sara, Christine, me, Mana, Andrew, Charlotte and Nono) got SO much eye contact through the whole gig... it made it more than just a gig for me.

- I was lucky enough to be part of the small meet & greet after, and got to finally tell Mika about the impact his "I've Got Life" performance had on me. Feel like I got closure - :naughty:. He stood sooooo close to me and I got Da Stare, full on. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. It was such a thrill to chat with him. Oh, ANDDDDD!!!!!! He remembered meeting me before at the Kool Haus gig, which was over a year ago!! I asked John if he just says that to people, and he said no - that Mika has an unbelievable memory for faces and really does remember when he says he does.

- Got to meet Cherisse briefly and gave her a hug. She's so friggin cute and little and sparkly!

- Saw Greg Wells and his son at the show

- Thought the 'new guys' were great... looking forward to what this year brings!

- Thought, but didn't know for sure until I got home, that it was Dita Von Teese in the opening act! How cool!

- Did not see Perez at the show, but got a picture with him at the ice cream truck.

- Cannot belieeeeeeve we were first in line (after Nono, with Christine, Sara, Mana & Andrew) and that we all got the primo front row spot in direct eye-contact from the keyboard, on a livingroom-sized stage for an acoustic gig. My Mika experience is now complete... anything from here on out is just gravy. I never thought I would get to experience this... I thought it was too late and that his shows have gotten too big to ever get this chance. The good news for those of you who couldn't go is that it really does sound like there will be more of these in various countries.

- LOVED the new songs, especially Blame it on the Girls and Toy Boy.... phenomenal!!! Toy Boy is so well written. This album is going to be GOOD.

- Totally random: Mana and I saw a poster that said "MISSING EEL. Goes by the name of Larz" and it had a picture of Larz. Thought it was hilarious... have a pic I will post later.

Well I guess that was my gig report after all! Couldn't help myself. Now... so so so so so tired. And have a cold, after sitting in the cold in front of the venue for like 10 hours. Who would have thought I'd leave Canada to go to sunny California and have to wear a scarf! Don't know if Charlotte posted a pic... I looked like kinda crazy in the queue - I had the scarf wrapped all the way up to my ears. It was COLD!!

Suzy, wish you could have been there! I took a picture of someone's apple shoes for you (think it was Artsy Fartsy?).

I haven't read a single post since Monday... don't know what all the reports/pictures/drama was like on here, but this was my perspective on the day, and it was more than I could have ever imagined or asked for.

AHHHHHHH.... neeed sleep.... guess I just don't want it to end.... most amazing incredible 48 hours ever.

Pictures to come.
