Okay I'm back and it was my first time seeing Mika live and all I can say is that it was an AMAZING show, defo one of the best gigs I've ever been to and I go to LOADS of concerts!

I got there at 6 pm and still managed to get 3rd row! I screamed so much, my throat hurts now! lol It was seriously amazing though, words can't describe.

I do want to add that I used to be a MASSIVE Mika fan back in 2007 when he first released his debut album but never got the chance to see him live then cuz I used to live in Austria.

In late 2008/early 2009 though, I suppose it's fair to say my love for Mika started to fade as I came across other musicians and bands. I still loved his music but not as much as I did before... I guess it was also partly cuz of the fact he wasn't doing much at the time so I kinda forgot about him I guess.

But obviously I still knew that I loved him and his music so when the opportunity came to go see him live I was like wooh , I was excited but not overly excited.

I was expecting him to put on a good show, but he really did much more than that. He didn't just live up to my expectations, but he reminded me why I used to love him so much. He is a fantastic singer and performer and I have a lot of respect for him, and I'm glad my love for him and his music has been brought back.

I don't know how much has been said but I shall do a quick recap as I have to get up early for work tomorrow, boo!

 

Ok got to the venue at aroung 9.50am with Jennie we were no11 and 12. Babs and Kata got there at like 8 or before?

After a while John came to sit down with us having a nice convo seeing if we were all right.

Then supposedly Greg came (I was in the loo at the time) and was a bit lost on how to get in the venue even if the doors were right in front of his face

Then Ian walked out and came back in with venue.. We didn't really notice and we were like 'Oh it's Mika'.. No one moved or shouted at him or anything, very nice. Although someone at the back was like "oh if they're supposed to be big Mika fans why don't they run up to him". Anyway...

Doors opened and that's when the chaos started of course. People who had won the tickets got in first where as people who were on the guestlist were left behind but luckily they managed to catch up with the rest of us even though lots of people got peed off, but whatever, they deserved to get their places at the front.

The venue was pretty nice, not too big not too small.

 

The band came on first then Dave Berry and Fearne Cotton (tv presenters) came on to resent Mika, then he came out, in his white dungarees And started singing WAG. That song is AMAZING live! Just the whole atmosphere there was AMAZING. He then sang (in no particular order): BIOTG, Rain (this version is SO SO good), Dr John (great catchy song, love it!), Blue Eyes, SITM, GK, BG, Relax, LT, BB. He went off then came back to do an encore of Lollipop. He tried to get us on stage but we were shouting back 'NO WAY!!' but he still managed to get like 3 or 4 people on stage. I think Kata tried to go on but then they took her out

 

Gig over, we went to line up for a meet and greet. Twas really nice, everyone waited for their turn. No pics were allowed with him but he casually chatted with everyone and signed stuff. I told him how I was doing something for the MFC documentary so I asked him if he could say a quick 'The MFC are amazing' so he did.. Well in his words it was more of a 'The MFC are f*cking fierce!' then he said how he doesn't go on the MFC and I told him he was missing out then he was like 'no, I'm not' lol. Yeah right!

 

Oh and also don't know if it was mentioned before. Andy said how there would be 4 versions of the making of the WAG video? I'm not sure when they're coming out, heck I didn't even know what he was really talking about Maybe someone else can explain it better.

 

Anyway, off to bed I go! In so much pain but it was well worth it!

I'm observing that a lot of old mika fans are return to MFC with the new record. This is really nice .

Just back from the gig. Great concert - Mika in fine voice and full of energy Nice mix of old and new songs - heared Doctor John for the first time - very catchy.

Meet & Greet afterwards was very relaxed becasue there weren't too many people. he chatted and signed stuff. i gave him a birthday present and he signed my Sosngs for Sorrow book.
