I love your current English AMP, lol.

Being part of the choir tonight was crazy and fun fun fun. One of the best nights of my life, I can honestly say. We went totally crazy. And got poured champagne by Mika afterwards. The band members were all extremely nice and approachable. Rehearsing in a dressing room with Tim was lovely and intimate. We hardly noticed when Mika joined the group. He gave us some singing tips, nice. We forgot them once we were on stage, lol. Crazy crazy fun night! :wub2:

Uploading them for you only, as we speak...

Fifteen of those will be on http://www.podiuminfo.nl soon...probably tomorrow.

The reviewer has to hand in the review first...

Enjoy!

They will all be on there within the next 30 mins. All the good-ish ones.

What a way to start a tour!

Despite the high stage, which restricted his movements somewhat, Mika was bouncing around al over it, at some points going out of his way to distract Curtis playing the keyboards, which he failed at every time:naughty:

He seemed to be fixated with Yulias red hat, which he grabbed and wore, then later he noticed her goggles, which he asked her "who the f*** brings these to a gig?!" He put them on and after Yulia shouting to him to flip them.up, he realised he could flip the dark shades up so he could see properly:naughty:

Then he put them and the hat on the nearest choir singer, walked back to his mic looked round and said "ahh, I get it, it's Willy Wonka!":naughty:

He was in a very mischeivous mood tonight which made for a very fun show. Even the choir, which Ingie and Monie were part of, were up for his messing around.

The set list was pretty much the same as the US shows, which made me sad that he's not doing Make You Happy.

Afterwards he popped out for half an hour, before going back into the Halloween party they were having at the venue.

There was the usual fiasco of people having their turn and not moving to let others in for their turn, which I think is starting to become annoying, and highly rude and unfair, some people almost missed out because of it.

On the whole people were good and did move away, but a small minority didn't which makes it hard for others, especially those who haven't met him before.

A little thought for those people doesn't hurt.

Luckily there was enough space for those people to get through, but it would be nice if they didn't have to fight their way through.

It has been great though staying with Jojotje and her family. It's always lovely to come to Holland, they always give a warm welcome, and I enjoy coming here to gigs.

Me tooooo! I miss everything and everyone already!

The bandmembers were so kind and approachable, one of my favorite parts of the evening was when we were rehearsing in the dressing room with Tim on guitar and the rest of the band standing against the wall in the door opening. It was so beautiful with all the voices together, I could have sit there forever, just singing and listening to Tim's guitar play. All that was missing was a fire place. If I hadn't been seated right across the door opening I probably wouldn't have noticed that Mika was standing there too, at a certain point. He listened, gave us compliments and some instructions, which were very helpful but which we forgot about once we were on stage, lol.

After our first song I felt Max' elbow poking in my ribs: "Good, good!" He said.

The audience was great. People were singing, shouting and waving, even at the back of the room and on the balconies. A high energy audience. And a high energy choir! It was an amazing night.

Now Ingie (and everyone else who has footage of the choir): upload those pics!

Yes m'am. Although I will have breakfast first if you don't mind :naughty: I will post a blog about it later. I did love that after the gig, we all just hung out with each other like we were just a group of friends. Nobody asked him for anything and it was all so relaxed. He told us that he hopes our paths cross again and we'll all sing together again next time in Amsterdam.:wub2:

As I found a spot with free internet in Amsterdam I thought I should share some impressions of last night with you.

I loved last night's gig! I'm :fangurl: -ing like mad at the moment. I think there couldn't have been a better way to start the European leg of the tour.

The queueing was lovely but so cold! I hope we'll find a better way to stay warm for the next times.

Just ten mintues before the doors were supposed to be opened I got to know that you have to buy a membership to be let in. I hadn't known that before so I felt a panic attack coming. Thanks to VickyLovesMika and her husband I could eventually go to a perfect spot without having to stop to buy this membership. :huglove: As others have already mentioned the stage was very high, it was even higher than Rose is tall. When Mika came right in front of us we basically had to lay back to not only see his shoes and wave from his ground :naughty:

But all in all I loved every minute of it. I found that the choir did an amazing job, you could see that they were having a ball. And they seemed so professional! I loved Ingie's little moment which seemed to be planned but apparently wasn't :lmfao:

At one time he went to the front of the stage and slapped almost everybody on the head like you do it with a hammer in one of those children's game I remember from my childhood. Maybe someone with better English skills can explain that better. But that was really funny :naughty: Surprisingly, he didn't seem to be very tired or jetlagged. We assumed he was in that state you're in *after* you've been tired because he was really hyper!

I hadn't watched any videos of the American shows so I was surprised by all the little changes of the songs. And I loved them all! Especially the acoustic version of Stardust was so touching! Another girl and I had created a little choreography because we were so bored while queueing but completely forgot about it until the end of Stardust because we were so impressed by Mika's voice, the version of the song and the atmosphere it created, it was really touching. :wub2::fangurl:

I also loved the version of Popular he did which I found was more melodic than on the album. He basically sang the lyrics more than he rapped them and the choir was brilliant then.

I really loved the gig and hanging out with many lovely people I hadn't seen in a while or never met before. Thank you all for your great company! :huglove:

Sadly, the M&G afterwards was really poorly organised. It was a tiny place with not enough space to form a proper line or anything but the security didn't even try to solve the problem. I missed out on the chance to get through to Mika which wasn't much of a big deal as I've had some moments with him already but I'm sure there were others who haven't met him before and didn't get the opportunity last night. :emot-sad: I hope the other venues of the tour and their securities will be interested in organising things like this better in the future!

Anyway, it was great and I can't wait for the next gig! :fangurl:

I didn't have the time to edit my pictures yet and will only arrive at home after midnight but so far I uploaded two photos I quite like:

Nice pics! Looks like you were having a great time! Wish I could sing..:mf_rosetinted:

I don't know what to do... I'm tempted to give it a try even if I'm not a professional singer :'X I know I sing better than a few years ago but I don't know if it'd be sufficient to get in the choir... Still training with different songs for now :mf_rosetinted: I have a kind of middle-ranged voice so it's pretty weird.. We'll see... I still have some time to think about it :aah:

Try it! You don't have to be a professional singer to be in the choir, right?! :thumb_yello:
