James Blunt, Mika and Nelly Furtado were among the winners at Germany's 17th Echo Awards last week.

Blunt and Furtado took away the Best International Male and Best International Female gongs, while Mika bagged the Newcomer of the Year accolade.

50 Cent took home the Best Hip-Hop title, while Linkin Park beat Snow Patrol and Bon Jovi to the Best International Rock & Pop Band award.

Finnish metal outfit Nightwish won the Best International Rock & Alternative Band gong.

The awards, which are often referred to as the German version of the Grammys, took place in Berlin on Friday.

{we all knew this a day before...}:naughty:

Yep, we knew :roftl: because we are all mental enough to be able to see Mika in the blurriest pics ever. It's a shame that they didn't show it on TV. He isn't even mentioned (well, rarely... ) in the media. So where is the use of getting another award in Germany (did they really say it was the German version of the Grammies?? :roftl:) when nobody knows about it? This country needs him desperately!!!

Yeah, and we were all so annoyed that they didn't even show this category...I mean it's a rather important one...but anyway...he's got an Echo and that's what counts after all! :punk:
