Het radiostation verhuisde vlak na de zomer naar de Kauwgomballenfabriek in Amsterdam. In het nieuwe onderkomen is op de begane grond een soort concertruimte dat gebruikt kan worden voor showcases. Op donderdag 17 december 2009 organiseert Q-music voor het eerst een speciale Q-showcase. Niemand minder dan Mika komt naar de nieuwe Q-studio’s in Amsterdam. Hij zal daar een optreden geven, exclusief voor Q-luisteraars. Sinds 2007 behoort Mika tot de grote Q-artiesten. Zijn hits als ‘Grace Kelly’, ‘Big Girl’, ‘Lollipop’ en ‘Happy Ending’ zijn veelvuldig op Q-music te horen. Dit najaar verscheen zijn allernieuwste album ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’. Het is de eerste keer dat de Britse zanger nu live gaat optreden voor luisteraars van Q-music. Kaarten voor dit optreden zijn niet te koop, maar alleen te winnen bij Q-music.
