Regarding the deluxe version, I was searching on Amazon.de for the physical copy because I'll probably order it there and I saw they recently added another version with a different ASIN, I hope it's a deluxe version but it also could be just an import (a French/Italian edition?). However, probably there are more editions of the album after all.

don't know... if it's his life story, the milk bottles are too early on to be referring to the future. Just the egg in the end may. (according to my interpretation) Meanwhile I'm wondering whether it's vice versa, because if Gregory represents Michael, it might also be Mika's fears becoming too big, so Ronke would be Michael and Mika MIKA. Or maybe the video even plays with both ways. If I see Mika and Ronke as two parts of the same person and the video as Mika's life story, I'm suddenly not surprised anymore about the missing explanations in the IG live. I watched it again, with this thought in my mind, and this time it felt to me like Mika was struggling to explain it as good as he possibly can, without sounding schizophrenic or giving away too much about his emotions. I mean, he's always talked about "we" and "us", when it actually would've been "I" and "me", he talked about being like Jackyll and Hyde, the songwriter vs the performer. And I'm sure these two sides of him are really hard to put into words. He said the song is a journey. Probably we'd understand it better if we had the full version, all the 12 parts - but also surely there's a reason, besides than it being too long for the album, that he shortened it. In that Belgian interview he said he'd live the album one step at a time. And I just hope the time will come that he'll be ready to release the full demo, so we can fully understand it. Or be even more confused, who knows. Also I had a thought about the knife meanwhile, again referring to Gregory, who isn't just sensitive but also can be clumsy and hurt others with his big hands (there was this scene in Casa Mika...) - so the knife might refer to Mika (Michael) hurting others. Just think about him leaving Andy to run away to Montreal, LYWID and all that. I think it's because his fears became too big, connected to Paloma's accident - y'know, all those stories we know from the TOOL interviews. All this complexity, many things intertwining - I'm really not surprised anymore that he talked 40 minutes without being able to explain it. Maybe we need to look for the goose in an old interview. My thought was that it might just refer to travelling, as wild geese travel, and it's part of his life. But it really might be something he mentioned years ago in an interview. About the fans' tiny love stories, I wonder why he never got back to it. The same evening he tweeted to encourage fans to keep the stories coming, then one of the stories got a Like from him, and that was it - although he said he'd share some of the stories. Maybe he just didn't have enough time - or he didn't expect to get such personal stories and was overwhelmed by all those emotions and thus couldn't go back to dealing with it.

Oh my, I almost didn't get that this guy was talking English, I really have a hard time understanding that accent! Glad that Mika speaks such a clear, accent-free English, otherwise I'd probably need a translator for ALL of his interviews!

Maybe didn't expect so many answers and being in a big trouble to make a choice The skull could also be one of his ancestors laughting at him…. As for the knife it may be associated to the rope ……..that depending on the global meaning could be kind of an umbilical cord ??? Could be kind of "if I want a MH3 I have to know who is MH2 ??🤔 Or need to liberate MH from Mika ? If we go back to the suicidal tendency ,the beginning could be a missed hanging (as there's the rope on the chair) that could explain that they are both out of breathe And the split of Mika and MH could happen out of this missing ….like falling on the floor the one person would break into 2 separate ones who sometimes hate and sometimes love each others ?

That's the way I understood it as well. I think it's not unusual if you speak several languages to mix up some expressions - or maybe it is an expression in American English, which would equal "own the stage" in British English. Languages mix up that way over time - for example also in German we have some expressions in everyday language, which is in fact a German version of something you'd only say in English - so it's not an "official" expression, but people use it, and people understand it - for example "that makes sense" ("Das macht Sinn"), meanwhile it's an official expression, but it only came over the last few years, it's an expression that came from the English one. Or "not really" ("nicht wirklich"), same for that.

As the gig's date is soon and Deb didn't ask me for it, I guess we gave up this idea. But I still have the files in case someone wants them to go on Very interesting 👍. I wonder if the milk bottles could be a reference of the next Michael Holbrook (The third) 🤔

Just a bit of info for New York-bound fans... I contacted the venue about a few things and here's what they told me. First, there will be no staff at the venue until the doors open at 7 p.m. If you're planning to send anything to the venue for Mika, there won't be anyone there to accept it until then. I may send some flowers on behalf of MFC - I think we have some money in our fan club Paypal account. I will also be taking Mika's birthday gift for him -- we're still trying to work out how I'm going to get it to him. I don't recomment queuing too early at the venue for several reasons: 1. It's not a very nice area. Check it out on Google street view to see what I mean, if you haven't already. 2. There are no really close coffee shops or places to get a bite to eat or use the toilet. 3. There's no cover, if the weather is bad -- right now, the forecast is for 81F and a 40% chance of showers on Thursday; only 70F and cloudy on Friday. But that could change, so we'll need to keep an eye on it. Just FYI, the people at the venue sent me this little map of places to eat that are in the area. The closest is Nick's Coffee Shop -- the others are probably 15 minutes walk or more away. That's what I know so far. If I learn more, I'll update this thread! See you all soon!

Listen/share BELOW and watch the video BELOW. The track is the second single from MIKA’s highly anticipated new album, My Name Is Michael Holbrook, out October 4. Of the track, MIKA says, "The most important thing in the world is the love we have for those around us, the love others offer us and the love we have for ourselves. That love can feel so massive and yet at the same time it’s so tiny and imperceivable to others. This song is a conscious decision to provoke that emotion. I knew I needed a different sort of director for this video, more art and film based. W.I.Z. was the perfect choice. From every detail in pre-production, to the art direction and casting, he has one thing in mind; to illustrate a complex narrative that he has written in his head. I am very proud of what he has made. An emotionally epic video for a song full of heart and love. Huge and Tiny at the same time." In celebration of the release, MIKA will make a long-awaited return to North America with the Tiny Love Tiny Tour this fall. The headline run kicks off with a show at New York City’s Brooklyn Steel on September 12. He then heads to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico City and Montreal, before jetting overseas for a massive European arena tour. Tickets are on sale now, see below for a complete itinerary. MIKA recently debuted the first single “Ice Cream” from the new album, which Rolling Stone dubbed “Summer-Anthem Bait” and TIME calls “a sugar-sweet, carefree and upbeat summer bop.” The track has been streamed 1.5 million times to date and continues to receive rave reviews. Check out the music video BELOW. For his first full length in five years, MIKA explores his American heritage on My Name Is Michael Holbrook. While his tumultuous childhood began in Lebanon before fleeing to Paris and then London, he focuses the album on the roots he traces back to his father’s Savannah, Georgia upbringing. The work also paints a loving picture of his relationship with his mother, the woman who trained him, made his wardrobe for years on the road and most importantly taught him never to follow and always to express himself fearlessly. After writing in home studios in Miami and Tuscany over the course of two years, MIKA went to Brussels to record with producers Marc Crew and Dan Priddy. “I hadn’t put out a record in four years. I didn’t know what to do when it came time to start the process and was honestly kind of at a loss,” MIKA says. “I felt a little disappointed by the commercial side of the industry. I didn’t want to make a record by numbers or by committee. I wanted to make an uncontaminated, homemade pop record.” Born Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr. in 1983 as the third of five children, MIKA started vocal lessons at seven years old. Learning to play piano and write songs while showing otherworldly vocal range, MIKA quickly became a young virtuoso. Con Stasera CasaMika vi ho invitati tutti a fare festa a casa mia, stavolta sarò io a venire a casa vostra. Verrò bussando alla vostra porta, città per città. Spero mi accoglierete.” Google translation I love the last sentence: "With Stasera CasaMika I invited you all to party at my house, this time I will be coming to your house. Thanks so much Anne, indeed a very interesting interview. That scene with Paloma, oh dear, I can imagine how they both felt. Songwriting is like a therapy, but just for yourself, and for others who are directly involved in the story it might be like a slap in the face . Who knows, maybe it'll eventually help Paloma too, at least she didn't tell Mika to lock away the song forever, guess that's a good sign that at some point she might feel ready to deal with it. I find it interesting that they don't talk about such things in their family, with their loved ones. Maybe that's why Mika learned to listen more to the emotion in a voice than to words.

I've been looking into this too. There's a McDonalds w/ a bathroom (and a Dollar Tree) near that Staples (on Deb’s map next to Highway 278), a 7 minute walk according to google. There's a City Fresh Market grocery store and a coffee shop called Tar Pit 3 mins away (i dunno if either have restrooms). As a last resort, there are restrooms at Cooper Park, just 5 mins from the venue. FYI, that place called Brooklyn Zoo is NOT A REAL ZOO

Yes, that's right, Sara. Mika will probably be on at the very end of the show, though, and he'll probably only just perform one song. The usual format for the show is: 12:37 to about 1 a.m.: Host (Seth Meyers) does monolog and comedy bits COMMERCIAL BREAK about 1:05 to about 1:15 a.m.: First guest -- a big name star/celebrity promoting movie/TV etc. On Wednesday it's Jennifer Lopez! COMMERCIAL BREAK about 1:20 to about 1:30 a.m.: Second guest -- lesser known star. On Wednesday it's Michael Sheen. COMMERCIAL BREAK about 1:32 - 1:37 a.m.: Musical guest performs. On Wednesday it's MIKA!!! So unless one of the first guests cancels, or something unusual happens, don't expect Mika to be interviewed or do more than 1 song. I mean, I would love it if they interviewed him, but that's not likely to happen. Still, I will be very excited to see him on my TV for something like this. It's been way, way too long!

Finally a czech review of Tiny Love, it got 9/10, Sanremo too: https://musicserver.cz/clanek/61810/mika-tiny-love/ (I know nobody on MFC will appreciate it but I'm glad that at least someone here writes about the new songs and album...)

He said nothing relevant, he only recalled that at the time of his A-levels he was quite tired and nervous (because he hated school 😆), and that every little break he could take felt like he was eating the most delicious biscuit or drinking the most remarkable tea he had in his life. So he felt a little guilty, knowing that people should have been studying, and they were listening to the radio instead, but encouraged them to enjoy every single spare moment. Then the host asked him if, when he delivers a single or an album ,he has the same feeling of being under exam. The answer is no, the situation is different because of course there's expectation about the reactions, but issuing a new song or album is his personal choice and it's under his control. He finally wished good luck to the students and said goodbye
