  1. Hello, :blink:Oh darn, looks like those 'internet leaker gnomes' are at it again, New MIKA is already leaked. Oh well, back to basket weaving.... Sincerely, JamiroFan2000 P.S. :sneaky2:To any newbies whom PM me into the ground for a link, sorry charlie, I haven't even DLed it myself, I'm waiting to buy it...sorry
  2. Hello, I heard a stonking new Mika Song from a bootleg of his recent 4/9/07 Berlin, Germany show (Circulating currently around the net). It's called "Holy Johnny" and follows the great trend of "character songs" penned the "mighty mika one"! I think it's a very promising new song, got all the attributes of a future Mika classic. If I have the permission too, I will post the lyrics to the new song in this topic in the coming days (In addition to a recording MP3 of it)....is it ok Sunny? Thanks for listening and Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  3. Hello, Hmmm....I find it strange that someone would delete both of my mistaken double post concerning the Mika Outtakes and Demos that leaked online (I didn't even pull the predictable move of posting a download link, I respect the artist and their music), but wouldn't delete the current threads with 2 of them being shared....what contradiction. Anyway, with that grumble out of the way, where did "Erase" come from? Wasn't on the Outtakes leak, must be another demo from these sessions. I really have to go with "Sympathy", such a sweet chorus to it and more likable, so surprised that "Overrated" wasn't considered for this poll. Anway, Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  4. Hello Board, Surprisingly found this new remix ( Well it's new to me !) of "Grace Kelly" on a Jan. 12th article on SpinOnline.com, sounds very very industrial! You can hear it here at the following link: SPIN ONLINE LINK: http://tinyurl.com/36vbfe I think it's a good unofficial remix, what you think? Thanks for listening and Peace! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  5. Hello Board, I had to update my MySpace Profile since the holidays and decided to help out Mika at the same time. So after some moved ladders, a few well calculated brush strokes and viddie embedding, I "Mikaized" my Profile! You can watch Mika's "Grace Kelly Video", "Grace Kelly" live on Jools Holland & much more! Check it out here: http://www.myspace.com/jamirofan2000 I hope you like what you see and discover new music in the process, I have seen the other fans "Mikaized" Profiles on MySpace and they are ABSOLUTELY Fab! Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  6. Hello again, Hehe, you are right, I finally sussed out my Firefox browser and listened to the beforementioned samples, some crazy techno . At least I was confused and entertained at the same time, thanks for the clarification Sunny, happy skull bashing on your "Gears Of War" ! Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  7. Hello Board, My "inquiring mind" was wondering about Mika's back catalogue of music, "pre-universal", so I did a little digging. I looked around Yahoo Launch ( Shameless Plug: Check out my Launch Radio Station here --> http://music.yahoo.com/launchcast/station.asp?u=1215554268 ) , I found what looked like 2 earlier indie label Mika albums. Here are the info about them: 2004 - Mika - Right Place, Right Time 1. My Opinion Never Sleeps 2. Trampolin 3. Interesting Times 4. From Now On Baby 5. Now I Know How Morriss... 6. IntegerStringFloat 7. Enthusiastic Part 2 8. I'm Looking Through You 9. Masquerade 10. Gratitude 11. Travelling Not Hunting 12. Suga 13. Right Place, Right Time Mika - Self-Titled - 2000 1. Kroetensee 2. My 3.35 3. Jamie 4. Vamos 5. Tomorrow 6. Enthusiastic 7. Target 8. Jet 9. Yacht 10. Atlas * Mika album listings on Yahoo LAUNCH Link: * http://music.yahoo.com/ar-22416281-discography--MIKA The albums were released on the Klein Records indie label, and I was unable to listen to the 30 second audio samples on each album listing due to my internet browser limitations. So I put this important question out there, are these Mika indie releases before his big label record contract OR just another artist with the "Mika" moniker?!? Any info is much appreciated and thank you for for all the help you can pass on! Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000 P.S. In a additional note, if you have a Launchcast Radio station, you can NOW add "Grace Kelly" by Mika to it on it!
  8. Hello Board, Hello Colette, welcome to the board, from one newbie to another, have a great time, hope you make some GREAT discussions here and make some fast, steady fan friends along the way ! Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  9. * Gives a look of confusion and thinks to self, "Mika answers messages to him on his MySpace?!?". Nearly tripping over is three shelves of pickle preserves, he runs to the bright recesses of MySpace and quickly composes a light, hearty and happy message to The Who's "Tommy"....err I mean Mika! * Hehe ! Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  10. Hello Board, I highly agree with my fellow SS board alumni, Mizzshears, Mika's debut WILL be huge, if given the proper promotions by Universal and IF we fans can help him out of course . That is, when we can, post about him and his music at all your usual music forums, sites and spots that you usually navigate on your daily net visits, he really deserves this kind of "Word of Mouse" support from us. Sorry for going offtopic there, I strongly feel that with OUR help, this debut will get more and more attention that it needs, I mean Brian May is ONE HELL of first step of fellow musician notice on the net ! I will post, when I can, where I can about Mika, I want him and his music to get all the exposure that it can, thanks for listening and Cheers ! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  11. Hello Board, :bleh: Well, my musical influences are a bit fickled that is, they are all over the place :bleh: . But here is whom I am listening, cherishing, loving, attaching easily too and supporting currently online, my ears, in my soul and in neon-laden enclosures of my mind's eye: PRIMARY MUSICAL INTERESTS: - Jamiroquai - Radiohead - Thom Yorke - Kings Of Leon - Scissor Sisters - Jarvis Cocker - Rufus Wainwright - Roy Ayers OTHERS: - The Streets - The Kaiser Chiefs - Larrikin Love - The View - The Softlightes - The Colour - The Verve - Oasis - Manic Street Preachers - Daft Punk - and many many countless others! :thumb_yello: Great musical picks everyone and thanks for listening :thumb_yello: ! Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  12. Hello Board, Well, through the "magical miracles of the internet", I have heard samples of pretty much all the provisional Mika Debut Album, and all the songs are nearly brilliant upon each other, you really see alot of influences here. From the Scissor Sister Discoteque slices of "Relax, Take It Easy" & "Love Today", to the Rufus Wainwright Foolish Love like "Grace Kelly" & "Billy Brown", and finishing off with the Sir Elton "Sir Dukish" piano pickling of "My Interpretation" & "Stuck In The Middle":thumb_yello: ! This debut is SUCH a intoxicating souljourn through such a thick brierpatch of music's past, present and future, it's REALLY hard to just pick one favorite song. But alas, my fav is.. Grace Kelly! Simply due to it's honest, innocent and utterly climatic complexity to it! Thanks for listening and Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  13. Hello Board, I was wondering, pondering, thinking and suitably "thinking capping" to myself politely the following: Does any Mika Demos Exist? If any of my fellows here can provide any info about Mika Demos, I would be greatly indebted to you! Thanks for listening and Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
  14. Hello Board, A new underling here reporting for "newbie duty"...err, that is, I'm new to this board. I came across Mika in early December 2006 and was utterly astonished with what I heard, among the other impressive musical debuts I have heard and relish from the likes of The Colour (http://www.myspace.com/thecolour), The View (http://www.myspace.com/dryburgh) & The Softlightes (http://www.myspace.com/thesoftlightes), Mika's material REALLY stands above the rest, merely on level with the before new artist's musical brilliance. Mind you, I do come from sort of a musical fan "checkered past", having supported Jamiroquai for 15+ years (JamiroTalk International Fan Forums: http://www.jamirotalk.net), Scissor Sisters for about 4 years ( The IDFLD Fanboard: http://www.babydaddy.proboards51.com) & The Kings Of Leon for about 4 years online (Happyalone board: http://www.happyalone.com) in their respective fan boards, I have been on a new kick of discovering online, thanks to the slight goodness of MySpace and other sites the newest music that will greet out ears in 2007. I look forward to contributing greatly to this board and to support Mika when and where I can, he is a immense talent and really does deserve the support of a passionate music fan like I! Thanks Mika, whenever you are on this board, your music is truly amazing! Cheers! Sincerely, JamiroFan2000
