  1. Oh Nooooooooo!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE that we missed out on this! We finally found a gig that allowed in the Mikamites, so we were THERE! We couldn't get there until the queue outside was WAY along the street, so we had no chance of being near all of you, but we SAW you down at the front, with your Mikafanclub card. We were up on the balcony. At least the children had a great view from up there - they're far too short to see anything from below unless they'd been at the very, very front. But it would have been absolutely WONDERFUL to meet you all. Serves me right for not checking in here so much lately! RL just takes over sometimes... Ah well. I'm SURE there'll be a next time (sigh!) Gill xxxxx
  2. Oh, if only I could. But does this mean that there's a DVD out there? Will there be more copies available soon? Have I missed something? CW - you'd know!
  3. Hey Moni! Welcome! There's a special thread devoted to the likes of us Mikaholics "of a certain age"! It's a very friendly place - we even allow the cheeky chat of the visiting Younglings who drop in. You'd be welcome anywhere!
  4. Hi Jonahwood "Love Today" will be the next single. Available for download from 16 April and in the shops as week later, I think. There was a Mika bulletin sent to some of us today - see this thread for more info: http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1603&highlight=16+April Cheers,
  5. Oooh ooh ooh! Me too! Actually, I'd very much like to include something from our 2 Mikamites, because I don't let them on here as they're too young to go surfing solo. However, they ARE enormous fans and they're going to see him later in the year. Can I please include a page from them, with a drawing or two of theirs?
  6. I'd like to hear the rest of it all. In a recent interview on French tv he refers to a demo he took to the record companies with 33 songs on it. THIRTY-THREE!! Ooooh to get my hands (ears!) on those!
  7. Now, now, Freddie - don't be fickle. I thought your heart belonged to someone else...!
  8. Hello Mike, and welcome! Give it 24 hours and just about anything that appears anywhere on the internet, in any country, seems to find its way onto here. Look out for our expert Mikaspotter, Cautionary Wife!
  9. Yes! I saw this interview this morning when hubbie's Q Magazine arrived. Great review. However, the same issue gives a big thumbs up to Lily Allen, so hmmmm...
  10. Welcome! You're among friends...
  11. Fantastic! What a lovely story. I reckon Mika was under the influence of the famous Geordie welcome! It's like Jemmalee says: you were spreading the Mika Love. And look - it's coming right back at you!
  12. Well, whatever his vocal range, it's amazing, he sounds fantastic, his songs are fabulous, AND he's cute! What more do we need??!!
  13. No way! There's no-one has a voice of that range. The exaggerations by the press are getting outrageous! I saw an interview with him in which the interviewer asked him about his 5 octave range (that's what most articles have claimed) but he denied it. He admitted to four. And even that's pretty incredible. But EIGHT? Not possible, and I'm sure he'd agree! We have a grand piano with a longer keyboard than many pianos, and IT only has 7½ octaves! Don't believe all you hear in the press!
  14. Wow it's gone QUIET on this thread. I don't think there's been such a long stretch with no activity since it began! Hmmm. I wonder why.....??? !!!! C'mon then, we're waiting...
  15. I saw him at the Birmingham Barfly last night. You're in for a treat! Now, I have personal experience of what the Haymarket can be like on a Saturday night. I might live down south but I'm a Fenham lass - grew up right next to the General and BOY do I miss Newcastle. So I can just picture you lot rolling out of the Crow's Nest and on to the gig, arms around each other, melted chocolate on your faces from the creme eggs, waving lollipops at everyone and singing at the top of your voices! Have a FANTASTIC BRILLIANT AMAZING NIGHT ! ! ! ...and don't forget to tell us all about it in the morning (probably about 1am!!!)
  16. Yeah - it wasn't the easiest place to find. But SO worth it!
  17. You can see the same thing, plus part of the gig, in MUCH MUCH better quality at http://www.streetgigs.co.uk/. You have to register, but I think that's it.
  18. Wow that was good. He seemed so relaxed, and sang so well. No sign of a cold. I wonder if he wasn't just exhausted the other day. I think we've been a bit spoilt though. Seeing him from RIGHT in front of the stage at Berkeley Square, it was a bit disappointing to find ourselves halfway back surrounded by people almost a foot taller than me. OK for hubbie - he's 6'3". Trouble was the traffic made us late - should have realised it would be so bad on a Friday night in the rain. Never mind - I'd go through hassle to get to see him live again and again and again... So how come I didn't see any of you lot then? I had my badges on. I looked and looked but didn't see a single other MFC badge!! I guess it's because YOU lucky people made it to the front! xx
  19. Phew! Tickets for Friday's Barfly gig have finally arrived! :thumb_yello: They were waiting on the mat when I got home from work this evening (Wednesday). Yes, I know that's yesterday but hey, time just disappear on here! Everyone else?
  20. Y E S !!! Mika's done it - Grace Kelly at NUMBER ONE AGAIN!
  21. Have just had a quick look - sadly you're not in the pics! Don't know about the video footage, because I CAN'T VIEW IT as broadband connection's too slow.
  22. Hi Ophelia I was there, and though my camera was bust (damn - wouldn't you just know it!), t-mobile have now put pictures and video up on the streetgigs website. Go to: http://www.streetgigs.co.uk, select Previous Streetgig and follow the links. Happy viewing!
  23. Thanks for that Kat - not seen it before. I really like some of the things the interviewer says in the introductory paragraphs - very complimentary and funny!
  24. My hubbie rang the ticket agency this morning (seetickets) as they've still not turned up. You can apparently track your tickets on the website, but our order came up with the alarming message that THEY are still awaiting ticket delivery! When we called they advised us to take along the confirmation email and the credit card we used to pay. However, I think we'll also ring the Barfly to confirm that THEY will accept this on the door! Yikes !! Any developments with your tickets, Strudel?
