  1. Brilliant announcement - I bought tickets for Latitude just after they went on sale, and the line up just keeps on getting better!
  2. Just popped by to see if any news of dates yet. It's been a little while since I've been on here - system tells me 241,368 new posts ... think I'll have to skip those
  3. It's here http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,20070226,00.html
  4. I'm not sure whether it is nationality or just age, but I am concerned at how black and white many people view things (and sorry to tar all americans, but I can tell as I read each post whether or not it is written by an american even without looking to the left of the screen). I sincerely hope that as you have more life experiences that many of you will start to see that things are actually very grey. However, I also pray that none of you ever personally have to deal with some of the more traumatic life events and decisions that you have described in such a clear cut and matter of fact way. I think I know what your responses will be, but I would be interested to hear people's thoughts on Guantanamo Bay ...
  5. Thanks for the report Jennie ... glad I stayed up (OK, I admit, I was up anyway:sneaky2: ). I'm glad you had a good evening ... did you get stuck with the weirdo next to you for the show?
  6. Just popped by to see if anyone's back yet. Have been filling in job application forms ... needed a break!
  7. Thanks Blue. But how do I then create different letters to spell my name in the same effect?
  8. You can order from any country and postage is the same as UK - see first post in this thread for details. This only applies to the hearts though.
  9. In that case definitely needs to be flashing heart and badge Easy is good ... but that still doesn't tell me how??? I'm a bit thick when it comes to anything technical
  10. A lot of people have the flashing hearts. However it does take a lot of courage to go up to a large group of people - even though you know that they are from here and that they will be really friendly. I did it at Birmingham last time and at Somerset House and got a good reception ... this time I was feeling a bit under the weather and so didn't approach people. However I did have my flashing heart on (and I made mum wear one too!) and although some MFCers walked past us, no one approached me. It would be nice if sometimes things were a bit two way. The badge idea is really good. Especially because I am hopeless with names, and if you do approach the large group you are given a load of names in one hit, which you then can't remember! Would someone tell me how to do my name in the MFC letters and then I wear that on the 4th as well as my flashing heart Hopefully I will be feeling a bit better next week and will have the confidence back to approach people again!
  11. Yeah we should be fine now. Not bothered at being right at the front, just as long as we can get in.
  12. There's been a misprint on the tickets doors open at 6.30 pm and close at 7.30 pm. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/events/musicclublive/index.shtml
  13. I'm so so excited about this one. Had just got tickets to Brixton on the 4th, and now will be seeing him on the 5th too. I still can't believe it . The only thing is I'm worried about what time we will need to queue from to get in. My other half has a hospital appointment late afternoon (which is the reason we are in London those days anyway) and usually we don't get out until late!

    Parking?

When we went to a gig at the Apollo last month we parked on a residential street off Fulham Palace Road. Just checked multimap, I think it was Chancellors Road, but the streets round there were all free to park with no restrictions evenings and weekends. Hope that helps. I also have a parking request ... We're coming up to London for a gig (not Mika) at Water Rats near Kings Cross tomorrow. We are coming down the M1 so are thinking of parking at Finchley and coming in rest of way by tube, but is there anywhere near Kings Cross that would be easy (and cheaper) to park?
  15. :roftl: :roftl: Excellent write up Nicole - glad you both had a great time and managed to get tickets for the second night. But, sadly you are deluded about Russell ... he can't be your fiance, cos he is promised to me :wub2:
  16. Thanks Sariflor. I've got tickets to see The Hoosiers in Feb and thought it was bizarre that tickets say 'fancy dress' when no one in their audience last month was dressed up ... doesn't make any sense at all!
  17. Paula, we will be on the balcony too (my mum is coming with us again ). Last time, we got to the front of the balcony (started queuing around 5pm ... well my mum started queuing then and we joined latter cos Simon had his broken foot!). like Jennie says it usually gets about 5 or 6 deep. We should be there around 4.30pm. I'm not dressing up this time either (will just have my flashing hearts!) not bringing glo sticks or lolipops cos they all got confiscated last time see you later Max x
  18. Haven't got mine yet ... but SEE are notoriously bad for sending out tickets very late. Ticketmaster aren't much better either. I always try to buy from TicketWeb whenever possible - their booking fees are usually the lowest and they also send tickets out really promptly. I booked tickets on 2nd November for The Hoosiers in February - and I have the tickets already. . Thanks for the info about despatch dates ... you've saved me a telephone call. I was going to start panicking if they hadn't arrived by Saturday!
  19. Apologies if this is already posted - did a quick search but couldn't see anything. Mika has been nominated in UK Festival Awards (Festival Pop Act Category) You can vote for Mika on the Virtual Festivals Awards website. Voting Closes 28 October.
