I'm here with cath85 at her house in Luxembourg and looking at this thread. I knew you would post this picture Nina, you seemed to be eager to catch Mika's most "authentic" smile on camera! And it is a great picture. Concert was fantastic, just love the concept of the show, really well put together. I really enjoyed seeing the whole backstage side of it, the excitement of walking up the stairs to the stage and getting dressed my Mrs Penniman who takes control of absolutely everything. She is so charming and still singing along the words to her sons's songs behind the stage. Mariposa has just left, I hope she'll have a speedy recovery from her claustrophobic Big Girl torture mask experience! lol No I think she actually enjoyed it, but damn these masks were quite a challenge!

Indeed. Strange but true! I do look forward though to hearing it all in one go, in studio quality and to seeing how the album can be appreciated as a whole.

Well I sure DO want the new Mika album, and ASAP! And I want to listen to all of the songs. What's wrong with that? Why do you enjoy the wait so much? Patience is a virtue...

Isn't it incredible? The album has leaked but it is nowhere to be found on the internet. I guess only well-behaved Mexican MFCers downloaded it. Still, that a leak of such a highly anticipated album stays almost unnoticed is unbelievable. What a shame I didn't have a Mexican credit card!

Thanks for typing it up from your subscription copy! I love Q magazine, they do obviously have some rock and britpop preferences but they surely are never shy to proclaim their love for pop when it's due! Getting a good review from Q is very important, now all the cheap papers can copy and paste the praise!

Oh my God! Just had the shock of my life when I was reading that mikasounds.com-mail telling me "tour" and then "Paris sold out"! I've been somewhere else with my thoughts recently but how could I only oversleep this?! But I will get in somehow, that is for sure! Anyway, looking forward to seeing the fan-posse again! I don't think that a fanclub like MFC which offers free access to everyone would offer a presale. Presales normally have limited access and the selection is made by money! +1:wink2:

True...opening acts can be annoying! But in seated venues the front row only belongs to people with ****loads of money or crazy people willing to put a mortgage on their house!

That was Madonna at the stadio olimpico in Roma! And of course the MFC will occupy the first row! Luckily queuing time is not proportionate to the size of a venue:hypo: ...queing all day long always gets you to the front row!

I have once been to a 80 000 people concert and I must say it was quite civiziled and I wasn't being squashed or something...but it is admittedly a little harder to get to the front row! But if you do manage to get to the front row, then it is absolutely incredible: you can live the same closeness to stage and artist as with smaller concerts, your screaming can be heard:bleh: ...it's just that when you turn around you see huge masses of people jumping, making waves or singing along which makes it even more amazing! I don't mind a huge crowd! Sorry if I offend people being too positive about this!

When I first heard the news I was like and I'm still ! So yes, Mika has sold really big in France this year but booking a 50000-people-stadium still seems a megalomaniac thing for a debut artist to do! Obviously, if they sell manage to fill it, job well done... But just what is the kind of show they plan to do there? Are they planning more shows on such a large scale? Large sceens with video projections, many dancers, pyro effects...they are going to have to do a lot of work to do such a big show! Artists capable of attracting masses of people often do several nights in smaller stadiums like Bercy (16000) and very few choose to do this 50000-stadium, so why is Mika? So many questions:bleh:...I am excited about this! Cath are you coming then?

Hey someone has dug out my thread! Oh it's been a long time...and yes Dany alias spoutnik I do very well remember meeting you and standing next to Mika when he drew you that cute autograph! I had also checked out your myspace page a few days after the concert...damn you sure have met some people!

A quick notice for all the MFCers in Paris: We are having a MFC DVD evening at Em's place on Monday, watching the DVD and eating pizza! Anybody living in Paris and interested in coming contact me or Em!
