Hi all! How many MFC'ers are coming to the show? Do we know? What are you all wearing? Anything fun? My friend and I are coming to the show but we both work M-F and won't be able to get to the club until probably after 6:00. I don't know how early people will start lining up, but it is an all-ages show so I imagine kids in school will head down there after school is out. I'd love to meet you guys and take a few group pics to share on the site. Does anyone have definitive plans yet? Lisa

Dang! That WAS fast!! I would have loved to have flown down for the show but most of my disposable income is going in the bank so I can afford new energy efficient windows for my condo. I bet no one in Mika's cartoon world has to save money to afford energy efficient windows. Wah. Right now the rest of my disposable income is dedicated to Rufus Wainwright. He is my ultimate fantasy-rockstar-gay boyfriend. He's got about ten years and four albums of pure genius on our dear, yummy Mika. I saw Rufus both nights he was at The Triple Door in April and I'm seeing him at the Moore in July and in Portland two days later. As soon as Mika schedules a full-blown US tour, I'll go see him as many times as I can manage as well. I'm just waitin'. I feel like we'll be waiting forever! It seems like he's been around Europe 10 times already!!! Enough whining from me.

Back in Feb(?) when I had my first taste of Mika I was so excited about him I practically ran to the store the day "Life in Cartoon Motion" was released and bought seven copies. One was for me (obviously) and the other six were for friends with whom I wanted to share the candy-coated goodness that is Mika. So don't feel bad about spending more money than you intended. It happens to the best of us. : ) I think Mika may be slipping subliminal messages into his songs: "Love me obsessively!" "Promote my record!" "Spend a ridiculous amount of time on the Mika Fan Club boards!" Either that, or he's made of sugar and crack and we're just addicted. Ha!

DaMango, you're a girl after my own heart. I'm in Seattle as well so when he finally makes his way to the NW we'll have to work together and plan how to get some quality time with Mister Mika. Don't worry about being assertive. I'm not afraid to ask anybody for anything. Your experience sounded like a dream and surely made your trip to L.A. SO worth it! I think when Perez first discovered Mika for himself he didn't know Mika personally and was not aware Mika planned not to answer questions about his sexual preference. In one of the first postings if not THE first posting about Mika on the Perez site, he makes a definitive statement regarding Mika's sexual preference. I won't post the link, but if you want to find it, it's out there. How and where Perez gets his info, I have no idea, but there it is. I'm thinking if Mika was sleeping around (with whomever), somebody somewhere would admit to it, know about it, have seen it or talked about it by now. That makes me believe Mika is not a whore and I like to think that about our dear, sweet boy. It's been mentioned a couple of times that Mika was influenced by Prince. In the early Prince days there was buzz about his sexual preference and he even references it in his song---I think it was "Controversy." Maybe that's where all of this ambiguity stems from with Mika and he's enjoying the additional buzz. Maybe he just doesn't want to be anyone's political poster boy. Maybe, it doesn't really matter and who cares anyway. Frankly, Mika's preferences seem pretty darned obvious to me. If anything, I bet the boy is totally celibate at the moment. Unless he's sleeping with someone he's touring with, when would he have the time?

Hi everyone! I saw about two seconds of "Grace Kelly" on Mtv and knew I had to figure out who was singing that song. Then I saw Mika on Perez Hilton's site, put the two together and in like two days I think I've watched every interview, video and performance available on YouTube. What a handsome, talented, NICE person he is! I love all the songs I've heard and I absolutely adore HIM after seeing a little glimpse of who he is as a person. I can't believe I have to wait until Tuesday to buy his cd. Wah. I hope he tours the U.S. soon. He looks like a great live performer. Anyway, I'm glad to be here and I'm looking forward to fan stories, pictures and news. Love to Mika Fans!
