You have to buy the VIP upgrade in addition to the normal ticket. What you get for it is "seperate entrance without queueing" (it doesn't say whether you get in earlier or even at the same time, just that it's without queueing), access to VIP area with fingerfood & drinks, and free parking in the festival area. So you can go in the regular standing area, because you need that ticket as well. I guess if you want to arrive late & not queue (tho they probably couldn't guarantee the no queueing if 50 hardcore fans bought these upgrades 🙈) and you have a lot of money, and/or if you want to get drunk cheap, it might be worth the 100€. I'm not planning to buy it, don't think it's worth it.

Yes, that - and also a 🖕 to the people who told him that he couldn't have international success with a French album.- 310 replies

I learned to appreciate that in Nice last year - you don't have sand everywhere. Looked at the prices for early August tho, and well, as tempting as connecting a Mika gig with a family holiday is, it's a compromise that's not ideal for anyone. Better to separate - family holiday for the kids, Mika holiday for me.

2024 - Mika @ Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, UK, 5 April
mellody replied to mellody's topic in Before the Show
I think I started following Mika at the age of 30 - and now, 17 years later, I still refuse to stay seated at his gigs, even if there are seats. Anyway, enjoy!- 31 replies

I meant at the gig in Clermont. I don't see them on the merch pic.
-
Yes, you're right... maybe they need to fix that as well. The e-mail link to the new merch is finally working now, and the new merch is also on the website.
-
The cap and I think also the photobook were missing? Maybe the production of these is delayed? I hope they'll have them at the next gigs. I can order the merch from Germany, but I prefer to buy it at the gigs, to avoid the high shipping costs. I got an e-mail today, advertising the new merch... but when I click on the link, it only shows me the re-enchantee merch. Also in that mail they're asking fans to send them photos/videos from the gigs. I really hope they'll get it fixed with the UK orders until the UK gigs, they're wasting opportunities there! It's disappointing for the fans too and also sad that they don't seem to care about the maybe 5 fans in Austria who would order something... but for the UK, that aside, even from a business point of view it's stupid.

Photobook "Apocalypso Tour" discussions (tour spoilers!)
mellody replied to NaoMika's topic in Mika's Music and Artwork
I think it's something like the 2010 Imaginarium Tour Program. For 40€ I expect it to be more than a notebook with blank pages. 😅🙈 But good point... I'll have a look inside before I buy it at the gig!- 61 replies

It's the first week of summer holidays for us... I wonder if my family would be up for a beach holiday in Brighton instead of Italy this year?

Hi and welcome! Nice to see more German fans here! Especially as Mika is finally coming to Germany again this year. But I get that France would be closer for you than Berlin. I'm 47, I live in the suburbs of Munich and my first gigs of this tour will be Nancy and Strasbourg ... maybe after Lille you might decide to see what other gigs of this tour you can attend, it wouldn't surprise me! His concerts are addictive. 🙈 Anyway, have fun, here on MFC and at the gig, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I suppose / hope it'll be available at the UK gigs! Would be a shame if not.

mcdomusictour Mika and the McDonald's Music Tour
mellody replied to Mikasister's topic in Mika News and Press
Yes, 9000 people, each +1. You'd think that'd be a concert in the Accor Arena, but in fact, those who would travel for the concert are surely a lot less. Also, some people just buy a menu and don't care about the codes, I've seen that with the McDonald's Monopoly a few years ago. They throw them away, or have a look if it's something interesting and if they don't care about the prize they throw it away. So imo while there might be 18000 places for this gig in theory, it might end up just being a few thousand or even less. Let's not discuss the general idea of this cooperation here, we have an extra thread for this.- 12 replies

Wow, a tour book! I need this! 😍 40€ is a lot, but tour books are the only merch I will always buy as a memory of the concert I went to. Sadly Mika only had them for the Imaginarium tour so far. They have a preview picture of the page of the book where he explains the tour concept. Interesting! Weird that the merch doesn't show when I go to the shop, but only through this link. How did you find it? It says available from 15th March.

I'd love to know as well... Also, I was wondering - the gap between the stage and the audience seemed bigger than usual - did you still have the feeling that there was a good connection between him and the audience, as he wanted to achieve? Tho I suppose how big that gap is depends more on the venue than on his show, so that might not say anything in regard to future shows.

For those with spare tickets for Berlin, @Jaela suggested to use ticketswap for these, as there's a high demand on that platform for Berlin tickets. On here it seems the supply of Berlin tickets is much higher than the demand (while for tickets for the UK gigs it's the opposite, no need to pay fees on a ticket platform if you have spares for Dublin or London). Just as a suggestion.
