  1. yeah, belgium last year was fun, i remember we did a choreography with our arms for one of the bands. and i also remember there was one band whose gig i particularly enjoyed, though i can't remember their name now... but it was sad to see that half of the front row just stood there with bored faces, while everyone else was enjoying themselves. despite my aversion to techno, i'm curious about what the performances will be like... i managed to survive a few club nights with dj howard donald (the guy from take that who is also a house dj now) and enjoyed myself there, so who knows, maybe i'll be a house/electro fan after that festival. at least hearing this music for a few hours will make me get so used to it that even if mika's new songs are hardcore electro compared to his old stuff, they'll seem like fluffy soft pop to me.
  2. ok, but it also depends at what times they played it... probably not much at the times where most people listen. if they play it in the middle of the night or in the morning after everyone has gone to work, it's not worth much. and then, compared to the other songs, 20 times in 3 months isn't much at all - they have to play a song at least once a day to make it known to the listeners. in any case, i listen to br3 a lot, and never heard it.
  3. yeah, it's awful if people hang over the barrier like a wet blanket at festivals, it's not nice for the artists that are on before mika, and those who want to enjoy their show. it's ok for a little while if you're tired and can't sit down - but if someone's performing on stage and you're in the front rows, HAVE FUN, FFS! (or at least pretend you do... ) i'll try to avoid walking around too much, as it'll only cost me money i don't have. i saw in a video that they have fair rides, like autoscooter - i love that kinda stuff, but i can't afford going on rides all day! what i'll definitely do though is get some food at that pizza stand, or the italian food stand (see "food" on the lovebox website) - that sounds delicious! ... and i'll need to eat something anyway. not particularly interested in any of the artists that day (except mika of course), but if we ever get information who performs at what time, i might have a look. travelodge... don't remember which one though. it's not too far from the festival, and it's cheap.
  4. damn, i'll have to get drunk - that's the only way how i can endure techno/house/electro music for more than a few minutes! actually it can be quite fun if you're drunk enough and love dancing... i just don't think i can keep that up from noon until whenever mika comes on stage. ... maybe i'll just bring earplugs for the first part of the day. btw, you seen this? ... i hope it doesn't rain during the festival, and at least 3 days in advance!
  5. well, he might indeed have changed a bit since the last album, but i know what you mean, it would be weird if he had a completely different personality now, it'd seem fake. but i don't think so, i guess we'll just see another side of his personality. for example, he once said that when he's at a club he likes to dance to the remixes of his songs, but not the original songs - so maybe his new sound is a bit like his old remixes? i'm glad that he said in that other interview that he tried to add as much soul to the dance music as possible - so i trust him that it'll still sound good even for my ears although i hate that whole techno and electro sound. anyway i'm looking forward to the new side of his personality that we'll get to see with the new album. i think i read of 1 or 2 times fans heard it on a german radio station, but i never did - it definitely wasn't played often here. you generally don't get a lot of french songs on german radio though.
  6. thanx, i think hasi said she'll bring some, but i don't know how many... i'll check with her on twitter.
  7. glasses arrived today. - that was fast... now i only have to buy some glowsticks to try if it works... not sure though if i can bring any glowsticks to london, as i only have hand luggage... do they count as liquids at the airport? it also works if you're wearing normal glasses - the only problem is that those things that should go over the ears are a bit short. but if you fix it with a rubber band (a normal one, or one of those things you attach to glasses during sports etc. so they don't fall off), it works perfectly. i think i'll attach small rubber bands to all the glasses i'm bringing, so everyone can decide whether they want to use them or remove them.
  8. ok, i ordered 2 packs à 5 glasses. which means there are still 2 left, if anyone else is interested. but i'll bring them to london anyway, so you can let me know there.
  9. ok, i'd like to order some of those heart-shaped glasses now, but in germany they're a little more expensive than on that uk site i posted here, and that site doesn't ship to germany. i can get them for 1 pound each (without the glowsticks). would any of you be interested in one (you can give me the money in london)? or would someone of the uk peeps order a pack from that website i posted? so far, we are 6 people who want those glasses... the ones i can buy here are in packs of 5. let me know what you think. oh, and something else... hasibobberle has designed t-shirts with "Hibbeling for Love" - if anyone's interested, you can contact her on twitter: @mfc_hasi - this is the design: Only a bit more than 2 weeks til we'll see Mika again!! HIBBELING!!
  10. saskia hat unsere tickets vor ein paar tagen bekommen. aber vielleicht brauchen die vip tickets länger?

  11. i only know it because he once tweeted a note that his mum had written him. though i have no idea how to pronounce the name in greek, in germany it's only a girl's name. here's the link for the germans, as of course the youtube video is blocked in germany: i like how the video develops from running FROM something towards running TO something, and it also fits well to the lyrics and to the music. when i started watching it, i thought "wtf?!" - but i'm glad i watched the whole thing, i love how euphoric it becomes in the end. i agree with christine though that i probably wouldn't listen to the song without the video.
  12. yeah, those glasses are just the frame for the glowsticks - but you get the glowsticks in a 100-pack for 10 euro, so i guess that's not the problem. if anyone finds such glasses that glow by themselves, let us know. i think i'll order a few of them and try if it's possible to wear them in addition to normal glasses - but i guess so. i always do that with the 3d glasses i have at home, just putting them over my normal glasses. at the gigs i wear contact lenses, but generally i know the problem. lol @ the hat! apart from what tiibet said though, i wouldn't wear them at the lovebox festival, and especially not at the circus stage... it could be mistaken for something else.
  13. ah damn, missed this competition! curious as to who the winner is. i love those special mfc competitions, at least here we (usually) know the winners from chatting with them on mfc.
  14. hi mikita, sorry für die späte antwort... super, freue mich, dich in london zu treffen! :biggrin2: hast du ein vip ticket oder ein normales? wir haben alle normale tickets.

  15. btw, i had the idea that maybe we could all wear heart-shaped glowstick-glasses for mika's gig (or just for one song) - it would fit to "lovebox" and would be a nice change to the normal glowstick bracelets. what do you think? http://glosticks.co.uk/glow-connectors/443-10-pack-of-heart-glow-glasses-connectors.html
  16. of course! we also have it as a hashtag on twitter. #hibbeling well, hibbelig (without the "n") is the german word for the state you're in, the verb to it is hibbel... and we just turned it into an english word, which is "hibbeling" (with "n"). i think it was statueofliberty, hasibobberle, rose and nezza who came up with it last year... we even were wearing t-shirts with "hibbeling for mika" on them at the gigs in compiègne and liége and tried to explain to mika what it means.
  17. at least this way the pre-gig thread is alive. it's nice to see new posts in here... as long as not *all* of them consist of head-on-keyboard-banging. oh, and the reason why I am posting: statue finally received our tickets! btw, it's definitely just a rumour that you're less excited about a mika gig if you've already been to 50. especially seeing him again after such a long time, probably getting to hear some of the new songs... this definitely makes me ... the german word for this state is "hibbelig", that's why we're always "hibbeling" on twitter. (in case anyone has been wondering about this)
  18. absolutely agree! some parts of the demo remind me a bit of kick ass. pfft, they've ruined mika's beautiful song. but well... guess it's still an honour for him that one of his songs is on madonna's album. thanx for posting about the demo!
  19. usually it's just professional cameras with exchangeable lenses that are not allowed. (spiegelreflex in german )
  20. when have you emailed them? it takes a few days til they answer. i just hope you get a better answer to your question than i did when i asked them bout the vip tickets... they basically just wrote me what i can already find on their website.
  21. i think you can go where you want, once you're inside? as a vip you can enter the vip area, but it'd surprise me if you have to. after all it's not a concert, but a festival with different stages, and as far as i understood it, there's only one vip area.
  22. i wonder if there'll be a new band. i really hope so, but who knows, maybe mika's music is so electro now that he doesn't need a band anymore but oly a dj. #worstcase in any case, i'm not happy with cherisse leaving. and probably also martin & imma, when she talks about the 'band'.
