You did great Karin The previous time Mika was at les grosses têtes he was a mystery guest (everyone had to guess who he was by asking him questions he had to answer to while he was masked or hidden and his voice being changed by a computer program. He has good memories of this. He was asked about how his career affected him at the beginning if it gave him "a big head" (made him vain) A pun with the name of the show. He said he began to have lots of pains (feet and head achings and becoming hypocondriac too) Yes more than twenty songs He is also asked if he wants kids he says no because his friends who have kids come to his place without them for some peace and quiet and that he now realizes he was lucky his own parents took their kids everywhere (to restaurants, to opera) The journalist asks if he would stop his career for love, for Andy and he says Andy never asked but that he never would because he needs to write/compose and be on stage to feel free so he will never stop.

    I started a long post and it's gone Instead of my post being saved only the quote was You put it very nicely in English The truth about that album is that the lyrics are sort of destructured in French like group of words and images put together Mika did a great job at breaking French flat patterns so the words he sings bounce together and we get real pop. I am not much into songs in French because I find they lack rythm due to the language. I liked Serge Gainsbourg songs because he could also make French bouncy. Mika said in an interview that a song has to have a catchy tune and a part of mystery. And he is so good at doing that

    It is more like a copybook for you to write in they have lines for writing but there is a quote on the first page saying in French: Tout commence par une idèe, et au début il n'y a pas de faible ni de mauvaise idèe. Lâche-toi et que ta tête fleurisse. It all starts with an idea', and at beginning there is no weak nor bad idea. Let yourself go and may your head bloom.

    I have watched it twice already but I'm saving it to rewatch it again and again. It is probably the craziest Mika interview ever i hope he was able to change his top I can relate anything with wool in it makes my skin itch terribly and I wonder how he managed not to take it off....

    @mellody I checked Jean Marie Perrier life and he was not the son of his official father but the son of the singer Henry Salvador. He had several wifes and he now lives with his last ex wife and her new husband. His life seems to be very complicated and that would explain that he got bitter and answered the way he did to Mika like he knew better. Of course Mika is younger than he is but being old or young is more a state of mind in my opinion.
