  1. WOW! I have not seen this before. FANTASTIC job by Tom. He does Queen very well.
  2. Hi Shari, wish you a happy birthday:flowers2:

  3. It was my brother who told me ... He didn't have much choice ... I'd phoned her earlier in the day and knew she was off sick from work .. she wasn't answering the phone ... so I'd phoned him to ask him to walk round and check on her ... but he'd already found her dead on the floor 3 hours earlier ... he hadn't planned to tell me until I got off the plane on Saturday - but I could tell something was up by the tone of his voice - so it all came out while I was stood front row ... I lived with her ... I've never been apart from her much ever ... so it's really hard for me ... I've lost my Mum, my living companion ... and my home pretty much as it has to be sold now .. and I can't stay there anyway as she died there ... it's been pretty much awful :(

  4. Laurel, it was quite untimely for someone to tell you about your mum when you are about to enjoy one of Mika's concerts. The same happened to me last year when my soul mate died and I was at a Dan Reed gig. How strange sometimes happiness is tinged with such sadness.

Just console yourself with the fact that you spent the day with her Laurel. Your conscience is clear from guilt - and believe me, that has a lot to answer for. Imagine what you would have felt like if you'd not seen her for ages.

In time that will be comforting, but you must be going thru all sorts of emotions right now. My mum died 3 years ago now so I really do feel your pain sweetie. Try to be strong, you are with good friends on here. xx

  5. Thank you hun ... it means alot ... it was very sudden ... she was ok on the Wednesday - I was with her all day... I then went to Amsterdam on the Thursday ready for the Mika gig on the 7th May ... and she died on the Friday - I got told when I was front row waiting for Mika to come on ... so I was in bits during the concert - it was surreal ... it still is ... she was only 65 :(

  6. Hi Laurel, I just learned about your sad news. I'm so very sorry for your loss. You need some good friends at a time like this and I hope you find comfort in their words of sympathy. I feel your pain and want you to know I am thinking of you. Warm wishes,

    Shari

  7. Oh those beautiful, full, kissable lips..... $hit, did I really say that out loud????
  8. Happy birthday Suzanne. Hope it's a good one for you.

  9. Oh what a cool thread. Seeing everybodys wishes/bucket list makes me want to wave a magic wand for you all. Especially Anouk. My heart goes out to you. It would seem most are achievable with a bit of hard work. The ones I have left are: To be able to dip my toes in the Gulf of Mexico See Niagara Falls To have my make-up done by Boy George (tart) To go into a china shop and push all the shelves over! To meet Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Brian May - last remaining members of Queen. I've achieved my goals of going to America, Greece and travelling. Meeting Mika once and my heart throb Dan Reed 8 times. But I would still like the impossible, have my granddad back (poppie) and my closest friend (Jayne). If you can learn anything from this you young-uns, go for it. Do as much as you can whilst you're young, fit and able.
  10. Heyyy!

    THANK YOU :D

Ill be sure to post things on my Twitter asap and then Ill probably pop on here if I am not too tired :D

If not everything will be posted tomorrow! :D

    Thanks agaiN! :D

  11. Have a wonderful time at Mika tomorrow Emzie. I'm sure you will. Can't wait to hear all about it.

  12. Oww Thank you! :biggrin2: I'm glad you enjoyed it.... They shows just keep getting better and better :wub2: I told him that when we met! He just smiled at me :wub2:

I just can't believe he kept looking at me!

Yes I do have a video! I see your hand at the end very quickly :biggrin2: I'll upload it to youtube in a bit... I've started with some of my videos it's just they take so long! I'll PM you when it's up. Take care :huglove:

  13. You're quite right Jo about Mika fans. I have met some absolutely lovely people from the forum- all ages too. I am a huge Queen fan and I've been in their fan club for over 30 years now. No-one has come along until Mika to equal my passion. I hope to see him at least once per tour. I'm getting too old now, I could hardly walk after standing for so long!

No sadly, I didn't stay for the M&G. I wish I had, but I was in agony with my bad back. I saw the pic on your sig, so you obviously did;o)

You have a vid of me waving? I didn't bereak your camera then? hehe. Love to see it sometime. I can give you my e-mail addy or are you uploading it to youtube?

Say hi to all your friends and it was nice to be surrounded by such enthusiasm last week.

    Take care sweetie,

  14. I know, Strange! It's amazing how you can meet people from here without realising :naughty: It was so much fun at the concert... thats the thing I love about Mika fans; you could go on your own if you wanted to and you wouldn't feel alone! One of the girls I was with I met through here. It was the first time we'd met and we just danced around like looneys all night :teehee: I think he did keep looking our way too :wub2: And yes, we did have the best place to be - he seemed to stay at our side of the stage for most of the gig! And he kept staring into my camera.. speaking of which I have the video of you waving :biggrin2: Did you meet him afterwards too? He was so nice to us :wub2:
