  1. WOW! I have not seen this before. FANTASTIC job by Tom. He does Queen very well.
  2. Laurel, it was quite untimely for someone to tell you about your mum when you are about to enjoy one of Mika's concerts. The same happened to me last year when my soul mate died and I was at a Dan Reed gig. How strange sometimes happiness is tinged with such sadness.

Just console yourself with the fact that you spent the day with her Laurel. Your conscience is clear from guilt - and believe me, that has a lot to answer for. Imagine what you would have felt like if you'd not seen her for ages.

In time that will be comforting, but you must be going thru all sorts of emotions right now. My mum died 3 years ago now so I really do feel your pain sweetie. Try to be strong, you are with good friends on here. xx

  3. Hi Laurel, I just learned about your sad news. I'm so very sorry for your loss. You need some good friends at a time like this and I hope you find comfort in their words of sympathy. I feel your pain and want you to know I am thinking of you. Warm wishes,

    Shari

  4. Oh those beautiful, full, kissable lips..... $hit, did I really say that out loud????
  5. Happy birthday Suzanne. Hope it's a good one for you.

  6. Oh what a cool thread. Seeing everybodys wishes/bucket list makes me want to wave a magic wand for you all. Especially Anouk. My heart goes out to you. It would seem most are achievable with a bit of hard work. The ones I have left are: To be able to dip my toes in the Gulf of Mexico See Niagara Falls To have my make-up done by Boy George (tart) To go into a china shop and push all the shelves over! To meet Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Brian May - last remaining members of Queen. I've achieved my goals of going to America, Greece and travelling. Meeting Mika once and my heart throb Dan Reed 8 times. But I would still like the impossible, have my granddad back (poppie) and my closest friend (Jayne). If you can learn anything from this you young-uns, go for it. Do as much as you can whilst you're young, fit and able.
  7. Have a wonderful time at Mika tomorrow Emzie. I'm sure you will. Can't wait to hear all about it.

  8. You're quite right Jo about Mika fans. I have met some absolutely lovely people from the forum- all ages too. I am a huge Queen fan and I've been in their fan club for over 30 years now. No-one has come along until Mika to equal my passion. I hope to see him at least once per tour. I'm getting too old now, I could hardly walk after standing for so long!

No sadly, I didn't stay for the M&G. I wish I had, but I was in agony with my bad back. I saw the pic on your sig, so you obviously did;o)

You have a vid of me waving? I didn't bereak your camera then? hehe. Love to see it sometime. I can give you my e-mail addy or are you uploading it to youtube?

Say hi to all your friends and it was nice to be surrounded by such enthusiasm last week.

    Take care sweetie,

  9. Hello Jo, of course I remember you. Fancy you being on the MFC aswell! I REALLY had a fantastic time watching Mika and I'm glad I was next to people who were as excited as me (well slightly more excited than me). Mika looked at you no end of times during the gig. I think we got the best reaction on our side don't you?

  10. I know I'll find out when I get there, but does anyone know which door to queue at? There looks like 3 options!
  11. Setting off for Sheffield, very soon. Feeling a bit fragile, but knowing the fab show Mika puts on, I'll soon forget my niggles. Looking forward to meeting VLM for the first time too. You too Ruth. (and many more) )
  12. Hi Vicky, yes hopefully we will meet up. Looking forward to it. xx

  13. I am old enough, but wasn't at this gig. I remember listening to it on the radio at the time and recording it onto 2 cassettes....ahhhh memories. (I went on to see them 7 times in concert with Freddie. I do miss him)
  14. Poor Mika, he was really poorly in the Album chart show special. I have to say I was very annoyed at the editing of the show. (I wasn't there) but I know the experience is far different than the final cut. Far too much chopping and changing the camera shots, not enough focus on Mika. Was "Rain" completely sung in a different key, on purpose? The verses came across totally different, I wonder what it sounded like being there? Mika has an amazing voice but sadly this didn't do him any favours. I recognised Sariflor and Cazgirl in the audience. Great shots of you 2.
  15. Belated Happy Christmas Barunka and wishing you a very Happy New Year. Thank you for the message. I didn't get it until now. Hope you are well? Thank you for thinking of me,

    Love Shari x

  16. Little noise sessions start on Channel 4 this Friday, keep a look out in your TV mags. Don't think Mika is on this week, but worth a look if you can stay up that late! http://www.channel4.com/programmes/tags/music?featureId=384
  17. Tiibet, your video's are just superb. Much better than mine with great sound too. What was your camera? Enjoying watching them now.
  18. You're very welcome Tiibet, and thank you Caz. What was the spoon gift? They're not brilliant pics, especially of Mika. My camera would not behave this night inside the venue. Uploading some vids to youtube now. (Twosharppencils = me on youtube)
  19. Hiya Caz, I did see you! I was in the pew behind Kath. I think you were next to Sariflor weren't you? Loved your little squirrel btw. I adore them.

  21. Who was the girl on the far right stood next to sparkly1 when they were interviewed for television? She spoke really well and was a good interviewee, as was Daisylou. I have a pic which I will post sometime.
