  1. It's a beautiful advert. Really eye catching, and with a great Mika song. I hope so much for it to be on UK TV
  2. It seems to be getting good publicity! I'm starting to watch for it in the ad breaks
  3. He could use this as a platform, to help him get known again in the UK, and elsewhere, if the campaign is international, not just in France. Then he could bring out some new music, which might stand a chance of being a hit!
  4. The question is; will this be an international campaign? If the ads are shown in the UK, I will be thrilled! It could raise his profile again here, so that his music becomes popular again. But I don't want to raise my hopes, in case, once again, there is nothing in the UK.
  5. Another wonderful review, and in English, and (I presume) from an American pop reviewer. I think Mika should forget Italy and France, for a while, and try again in the UK and USA.
  6. Fantastic! He says what I have always thought, about Mika. He's such a jewel in the crown of pop music, and he should also be a gay icon. It's just so sad that he is not really famous in America, and that he is no longer relevant in the UK.
  7. Yes, it seemed like damage limitation to me. I was glad to see it though.
  8. Well said. It is sad that his appearance on Pointless Celebrities has been spoiled, in a way, by people worrying about the negative comments. The one about his career being over, may seem harsh, but for many years in the UK, that's how it has seemed, to people who are not familiar with Mika's other work abroad. But the fans who retaliated in a really bad way, are also, not doing Mika any favours. As his fans, we need to be above such retaliation, after all, if Mika had continued to do TV, gigs and performances in the UK, no one would be saying that his career was over.As you say, it has got Mika noticed again by him being on UK TV. Let's hope he doesn't waste this exposure. Let's hope he plans more things in the UK for this year, to continue his return to fame in the UK.
  9. Last night, after Mika sang on Pointless Celebrities, there was a quick spurt of Grace Kelly, on the next programme, Let It Shine. It's a show about finding a new boyband to star in a new show, featuring the music of Take That.
  10. The thing is, famous singers do get negative comments. 10 years ago, when people were spreading the hate, I used to get really upset. Now I don't. Those people are a minority and people who watched the performance, can judge for themselves. He sang a beautiful cover, and 10 years ago, despite the haters, he sold millions of albums. No one takes notice of internet trolls. I'm just glad he was trending on Twitter!
  11. I have mixed feelings about it. I would have loved one of his own songs. However, he did a beautiful job, and he has shown a more tender side by his performance of Piano Man. He also looked fantastic! So it was good, but he should not neglect his own music. I hope we get to hear his own songs, on UK TV soon
  12. I suppose he sings at the end. I hope they give him time to finish his song. Sometimes they don't, when it's at the end. I also wish he was a contestant.
  13. I hope for great times with Mika this year I wish Mika, and the MFC, a great 2017
  14. I couldn't have said it better myself. For him to get attention in countries, apart from Italy and France, is very promising. The fact that they showed newer concert, with not just LICM songs, is good too. With his UKTV appearance on Saturday night, this is a great start to 2017!
  15. Does anyone know how to get the bonus songs? I thought they would be at the end of the concert, but they are not. The concert was great! I really enjoyed it.
  16. Actually, it's dawned on me that he might sing GK, since its nearly ten years ago when the song was number one. I'd certainly prefer a newer song, but if it is to be an older one, then GK is probably the best one to do.
  17. I really hope you are right. This time, ten years ago, Mika burst onto the UK scene. Let's hope the timing of his TV appearance is a good omen, and it's the start of a great 2017, for Mika and his UK fans.
  18. Just when I had given up on him, regarding the UK. This is great!! Now we have to hope for a decent song, one that has a really good tune. Not Rain, too screechy, not Celebrate, too boring, not TAY, too much like what people expect from Mika. Something like Good Wife would be brilliant, or better yet, No Place In Heaven. Mika needs to show his skills as a singer and songwriter, not the happy clappy Mika whom people expect, but the beautiful singer and songwriter.
  19. Congratulations to Mika! He really deserves to get the award.
  20. The Giorgio Armami perfume ad is on UKTV a lot, once again. I'm always glad to see it.
  21. I don't think anyone would want Mika to do something, just because we might want it to happen. I'm also aware that he's more than just a pop star, and has many talents to his name. Sometimes it sucks when we hear of a TV show in Italy, because we know how good he would be, if he did the same type of show in (say) the UK. What I do now, is keep an eye on his career, but I have interests elsewhere now. That is the best thing to do. It's no use waiting for Mika. It's best to enjoy someone elses career and not worry about what Mika is doing. If he comes back to the UK and does something good, I'll be there, but I'm not hanging around waiting for him.
