I'm a Christian and regularly attend church. I love the Lord Jesus, but would never try and force people to adopt my beliefs. I believe in setting a good example in life, letting people know that I am a Christian, and then if they want to talk about it, that's great, if not, I'd never push them. I don't know what Mika believes, but he mentions Jesus in at least two songs, Lolipop, and Holy Johnny, so maybe he is a Christian. If his father came from America, chances are he had a Christian upbringing. For the record, since we are talking about Mika, I'm not one of THOSE so-called Christians who believe that gay people are going to hell! That would only happen if they were premiscuous (not sure if I spelt that right) and straight people would go to hell if they were premiscuous too. But if someone makes a committment to someone else, in a loving relationship, I don't honestly believe there is a problem. After all, Jesus did preach that love was the most important thing and I certainly don't think that love is ever wrong. I also think that Mika is a very loving person. He always gives so much to his fans, when performing, so I imagine anyone who gets with him would be very lucky indeed. The Deppster's down to 29. I was worried there for a while when he didn't go down, but obviously his fans arn't as dedicated as us! There's something I've noticed during voting, I hadn't really noticed before. When I click onto the sites, before I even move onto Mika's name, his face and details come up. I tested this by moving (but not clicking) onto Avril Levine (or whatever her name is) just to see if she would come up, but it was still Mika!!! Is this an indication of all the votes he is getting? I think we all appreciate all of his brilliant songs. In my case, it was LOVE TODAY that made me notice him. I wondered who the guy with the amazing voice and terriffic song was? But I think we are all excited by his new work, because we are all with him now, and are sharing in what he does, like we are his family. We can say... "I remember when he first sang, HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE ME etc. It's always going to be exciting when he produces a new song. But we'll always love all Mika's work, old, and new. The bitch is actually called Sophie, and has produced some... em... cds. Here are some practical suggestions as to what we can do with them, if we find them in a bin somewhere. First, use them as frisbies when walking the dog. Second, String them up on wires, and either, use them a sun-catchers, or photograph them and try to sell the pictures to The Sun, as alien UFOs. Third. If you are shipwrecked on a desert Island, use them as mirrors to start fires, or signal passing ships (that's if you can tear yourself away from listening to your six MIKA cds) Fourth. Continuing on the mirror theme. Make SOPHIE look into the shiny side of one of her own cds, it might make her turn to stone. Fifth. Shove one sideways up her a**e. Yes, well done to Channel 4, and thanks to all who have started to reply to my thread. I'm the last person to want to see Mika do too much. I wonder how he keeps up the pace! He does not actually need to appear on a live show to get some attention. If they play his video or show concert footage, that would be great. My beef is that no one really mentions him, and yet, Amy Winehouse (who can't even be bothered to appear in her own freiking video!) is getting all the attention. It would be great to see Mika, our clean and sober boy-next-door, on an occasional talk show, work permitting, since he is fantastic when he's being interviewed. All the country would get chance to see him at once and he could rest his bad leg and just have a chat. We need to keep up those votes on Sofeminine and MTV and the new awards site. I have all the voting sites (including Satu's brilliant multi-link page) on my favourites on my toolbar for easy access. Does anyone else think it's time that all these TV shows realised how popular Mika has become? As I type this, Entertainment Today is on, and there's not one mention of Mika!! This is appalling, especially since his single is on general release on Monday. If Mika is abroad at the moment, or otherwise engaged in his busy career, the least the show could have done was to play his video for 'Happy Endings'. I think we should all get onto the websites and complain. Who cares about Amy Winehouse? They need to shut up about her!! I'm sick of hearing her name!! That's great news!!! I wondered if Mika would ever perform with Queen, or someone out of the band. I actually think Mika's voice has a slightly lighter tone than Freddie's. I can usually tell the voices apart, but still, there is a similarity. However, people need to stop saying that he's the new Freddie, and start thinking of him as, the original Mika! Well... I am getting really annoyed! Mika is fantastic on interviews, so natural, like a charismatic 'boy next door'. People need to see him on TV! Where is all the promotion? All his management team seem to want him to do is, just perform millions of live concerts! I know... I know... it's great to see him live, but can he really keep up that pace for much longer. I'd love to see him on some talk shows in the UK, then he can sit down and rest that bad leg of his, while all the country get to see him at once! Is it just me, or is anyone else starting to detest Mika's management team, who seem to see him, only, as a walking cash dispenser for themselves, and do not have his best interests, or future career, at heart.
