  1. Oh thank you, I send you a PM, hope it'll work !
  2. Hi guys ! Oh my god, didn't came here for ages ! The new MFC is nice, btw. I arrived too late to pre-order the album and get the coden try to access the presale but didn't understood everything, I think some gigs need a code, other don't ! I would like to buy 2 tickets for the Caen gig in France, if someone has the code and could help me, that would be so nice of you ! So happy he finally comes back on tour, was long since I las saw him back in 2015 ! Happy to read some of you are still here (Deb, Mellody !)
  3. Hello dear MFcers ! So happy to come here and reading from you I was at Rennes last night, it's nearly my home town so couldn't miss the show. Sorry, I don't have pics or vids cause I wanted to enjoy the show the best I could ! And what can I say... It was awesome ! For the setlist, I'm not sure, but a friend of mine post this one on the French Forum and I think we're close to the truth ! 1- No place in heaven 2- Big girl (you are beautiful) 3- Good wife 4- Grace Kelly (with a part in French) 5- Boum Boum Boum 6- Good Guys 7- Talk about you 8- Origin of love + Outro (changed the set) 9- Relax take it easy 10- Promiseland 11- Rain 12- Staring at the sun (the english/french version) 13- Underwater 14- L'amour fait ce qu'il veut 15- Elle me dit 16- Billy Brown 17- J'ai pas envie 18- Happy ending 19- Lollipop 20- We are golden 21- Love today 22- Last party I was so happy to see him again, my last real show was this amazing gig in Nantes in november 2012, when he brought me on stage to sing with him . I have been to a festival in summer 2013 but it's not the same ! So I arrived at the venue after work at 6 PM, and managed to be in the 5/6 rows. It was really good for me. I was with a friend of mine and people in front of us were small so we could see him very well. There was a problem with the sound in the venue, so the show was late at started at 9.30 PM Then he arrived... with a very quiet, an nearly a-capella version of No place in heaven... it was so beautiful Then he didn't stop during 1.50 hour ! He said he was sorry to be late, but he's lebanese so it's normal ! But then said this time it wasn't his fault. He was very chatty, only spoke in French except when he spoke to his musicians. he said he was very happy to finally start this show and was thrilled by the vibes in the venu ! Yeah, we rock in Brittany ! I think he choose the perfect setlist... the best combo of his 4 albums. And is voice was amazing... One of the best time for me : it's the beginning of the tour so he is in a really good shape with the perfect voice The show was really well mastered. I find him more and more professional, and more and more grown up ! But in the good way. He still have this part of crazyness in him, but he knows how to manage it to empowered his show ! I don't know how to explain myself, but he can be proud of this new show, it was nearly perfection He just made some mistakes with some lyrics, especially the new French songs and made funny faces ! Well to sum up : - perfect setlist - perfect show - perfect audience : - perfect Mika !! We waited him outside. So happy to see "old" MFcers as Tiibet and his friend (sorry, I don't remember your name...) There were two exits, and we chose the wrong one When he got to his car, we run at the orther exit, but there were too many people. He just went out his car a few seconds to sign a few autographs but he didn't spoke to protect his voice. Then he went to his car, and went away. We just said "hi" and he waved at people by the closed window. Some people run after the car whe he stopped to the trafic light Thanks Mika for this amazing evening... It was my only show of the tour, but hope he will come back in the west part of France next year ! I wish you all, dear MFCers, to enjoy the upcoming shows Cheers
  4. Oh thank you girls for your messages That's sweet of you Oh I see you now all the French words for the wedding ! To answer to you : I confirm the cocktail is the Vin d'honneur ! I don't know what will wear the "futur marié" ! I'm not allowed to know He is in my sister-in-law's hands ! And of course, I'll party during my "enterrement de vie de jeune fille" my maids will organize ! Can't wait !! Karin, I love your church, it is so cute and the view very nice ! Tegan, I love the idea of you seating chart : very classy and original in the same time ! And your dress seems so pretty, can't wait to see you in it
  5. Hello girls ! Haven't posted here since a while Congrats to Sivan for your wedding Happy to read that your preparations are going on For me it's the same : we'll get married at the City Hall of St-Malo (where we live), then we'll go the my small hometown church, at about 15km and the cocktail and diner will be very close, at about 10 minutes. It's here : http://location-salle-st-malo.com/page-titre-Receptions_privees-cid-1.html It's a very typical house from Brittany, where we live. And I just bought my weeding dress yesterday ! And oh my god, I love it I wanted it to be fluffy but with no train, and a style like a ballerina. And I found her If you want to see some pics, here I am with her I am sooo happy !
  6. Bonjour à toutes ami(e)s francophones !
  8. What a wonderful report Jola And a big thank you for your pics, they are amazing Don't worry, when Mika is looking at you directly in your eyes, it's difficult to focus and to say what you wanted to say
  9. Thank you so much girls for your reports and pics It seemed to be a very nice gig Oh and the vid is so wonderful Love it !! He is so sweet and fun and... It's a very nice way to end the tour...
  10. @ Efriani : interesting to see the wedding dress in Indonesia ! The last one is so beautiful Oh it's a nice church ! So funny !! Of which year ?! Mine is from 1986 ! That's a nice story ! What a nice proposal But the end is so funny ! Poor you ! Well, me and my fiancé, Paul, know each other since high school. We started to date during our last high school year and we never imagined we found each other's soulmate. We are together since 9 years now, he is my first real love and he is amazing I'm so lucky to have him. Well, he wanted to finish med school (which last at least 9 years in France) to get married, but he knew I wanted to be engaged since looooong time ! So he proposed to me 6 months ago and we will get married in 1,5 years, when he will be about to end med school ! He proposed me by the sea cost, in one of our favorite place from where we live : http://burnel.perso.sfr.fr/photos2/Pano_Varde3.jpg He left a note at home when it was written I had to join him here, so I came and he was all alone, suit up, he said some lovely words then put a knee down and he proposed He did it in a very traditional way
  11. Thank you very much Sabine, and thank you everybody, for the vids and pics Indeed, the M&G vid was nice to see ! Not speaking about the Stardust one
  12. Yes, it's written he's gonna be David Guetta's guest star Btw, on the local newspaper talking about Mika's gig in Grenoble, they say tickets can be available to buy tomorrow... http://www.ledauphine.com/isere-sud/2012/12/16/mika-au-summum-le-26-avril-2013
  13. Thanks for your nice reports Sabine Oh Nina, don't worry I don't think everyone here thought you or Karin or the other fans who were there at the Union Chapel were stalking him. Of course you weren't The debate just came on as a reaction on Eva's post But it was a more general debate.
  14. Well, the Printemps de Bourges is a festival, a very famous one in France, btw. But I looked at the Grenoble date, and apparently, it's not It's written on the ticket website : Alias is the tour promotor and NRJ a radio station... Maybe they take the oportunity of Mika doing some festivals in France in spring, like the Printemps de Bourges, to organize some gigs as the last tour was sold out ? The Grenoble venue can welcome 3000 people if they are seated and 5000 if they are standing And for the Monaco one, it's special ! They often do "gala gig" in this venue !
  15. Great to know ! Planning to go to the Printemps de Bourges one, which is the closest to the west part of France Yes, he said we won't see him before a long time, but I assume he talked about real tour and not festivals !
  16. Yes, you're right ! We basically said the same It's not always easy to express what you exactly want to say in another language I hope too. Just saying that cause I was wondering to myself. I hope it was for another reason, maybe as Karine1111 said, he sang it because he was actually in this mood so it made sense Please, don't generalize, thank you This is not very respectful for French people, don't you think ?! Why are you saying that Eva ?? It's not really laughable when we know his situation in the UK and when we read reviews like the Evening Standard's one about that specific choice he made. I don't think Brits fans commented about this because they were jaleous he started with a French song but tried to debate about the whole meanings and the consequences about that... I won't say more about that. I totally agree with Christine, Guylaine and all the other posts saying the same. I think it must be everyone's choice. You can't blame the UK fans for that, Eva. Even if I would live in Paris, I never would have waited for him like you or some other French fans do, when he does radio or TV promo in paris and you guys are everywhere It's your choice, you vision of being a fan, but not mine And it's nothing to deal with the French culture or not, but also with people personality's. I like seeing him after a show, to think him and chat with him. I only saw him once before a show, it was at the Cirque d'Hiver, and I didn't felt comfortable at all. We were many fans, and TM said not to ask him to sign autographs because he was in a rush, but more than half of the people who were there asked to him, despite they already have plenty of autographs, and Mika didn't said no... I was very uncomfortable so I stood back to watch all that and told to myself I prefer see him after the show, and this is what I do now. And I'm totally fine with that. It's my point of view and the way I want to experience the fan thing. But everyone can choose its own. This is really hard from you to say that, because that means you think he doesn't have enough support from the other UK fans and you thought fortunately, the French fans were there to welcome him, because the UK ones weren't. That insulting for them You should have enjoyed the fact of beeing only 3 fans around him ! Couldn't agree more with you, Camille I think it's not the point here. This is not about criticism on the French fans... Or we haven't read the same topic... The fact we talked about some people being disapointed about having "Un soleil mal luné" as an opening act has nothing to deal with the French fans or with the fact Mika is doing many gigs in France. It's about Mika starting singing in another language than English when he is performing in a London gig. He could have started with a song totally in Italian, it would have been the same sensation for part of the audience, don't you think ? And please, don't stir up the tensions between Brits and French fans, we don't need this...
  17. Je n'avais pas vu ça, c'est juste énorme !! Bien joué ! Oh Axie, contente de te voir par ici Merci pour ton message, c'est très gentil J'espère que tout va bien pour toi
  18. Oh thank you Kris It's not always easy to write some very constructive posts in another language Sometimes, you think people misunderstood !
  19. What nice pics !! You are so smily It's exactly what I wanted to say ! It's soooo difficult for you, and I think people in the audience should know all the details
  20. Yes he is But even if he said a lot in interviews that he is half lebanese, I think people forget and I think in the UK, he seems more British... For the second part of your post, it's exactly what I wanted to say : in other countries, the French songs are more welcome, like in the US (as we can see on your vid )
  21. What a nice pic !!!! :thumb_yello: You are all very nice and you seemed to have fun ! On of the best backstage choir pic I saw !
  22. You right, the problem is that the stages are too small for the number of people... I did said that I thought "musically" speaking, the choir doesn't add so much in the Mika gig even if it's nice to see them having fun. I mean, of course, and it's what I said, it's wonderful for fans and I did experience amazings things as well so I'm glad Mika does that and am so happy for fans But I really don't want to seem nasty saying that... But we can't hear the voices very well, and Mika doesn't really introduces the choir, as a fans choir, which he should do in my opinion. Because people who don't know it's a fans choir could think this is not very professional and it's not fair for the choir, because it's not the aim of the choir. I heard some comments in Nantes from people behind me, and I told them that the people in the choir were fans, so their point of view was really different when they learn that and they find that very cute and thought Mika was great doing that But if you think it's a professional choir, and honestly, if you're not in the Mika world, you can't imagine they are fans you don't have the same point of view... Sorry if I'm not clear enough
  23. You're right Marylin. But Mika is not seen for British as a singer who spent his childhood in France, who loves this country and who sings so well in French. He is seen as a British pop singer. This guy singing Gangnam Style" song is Korean, so if people in UK go to see him on stage, they won't be surprised he sings in other languages than English. But in the Mika case, I think it's not what they came for... That's why some people could have been surprised, especially because he opened with that. I agree, it should not offend, but maybe it's because France and England have special history There are always some "teasings" between the 2 countries. As when France and England playing in a football or rugby competition : it's always special I'm sure he would have sing this French songs in the US, it wouldn't have made the same effect... Look, even Celine Dion sings some French songs when she plays in Las Vegas, and the audience love that ! ps : the correct word is "pourquoi"
  24. So glad to read this gig was great It seemed he had lot of fun, and the action man and mask stories are nice ! Sorry to read Lara's post and feelings. And interesting to see that we don't experience things the same way, as Mellody and Vicky didn't felt the same. I thought the same... When we see the vids, I don't think the voices problems were the only reason they cancelled Glasgow And that's why I'm even sadder for the Scotts fans and the others who planned to go there... Sorry you couldn't see him after the gig to say goodbye What is the weird feeling you have ? Because he said exactly the same in Nantes, his last French gig I don't think he will tour again soon
  25. OMG, I do have sooooo many things to say after reading this thread. I wasn't there, but wanted to react. First of all, so happy he did sang Make you happy, and with not the "robot" voice I hope I can hear it live one day. Then : - I totally understand many of you were kind of surprised when you heard "Un soleil mal luné" as the opening song Even if I'm French, even if absolutly love this song, I think it's a strange choice too. As Tiibet said, this song and "Elle me dit" are part of his setlist. You're right, but it wasn't the case everywhere, as Rosa said. I think it's nice that he sings a couple of French songs abroad, but not as opening songs. Londoners didn't expected that, and I think many people of the crowd was very stunned and unsettled so not very receptive for the next following songs... I think he could have sang this wonderful song, which shows a lot of his talent, later in the show, it would have been more "welcomed". - Anyway, someone talked about this song as not a good choice for an opening song, generally speaking and not for the UK gig, because it's too slow. Well I don't agree. The French audience really apreciated him to start with this song. I spoke with non Mika fans after the Nantes gig, and a girl told me she was so surprised he could sing this kind of deep and moving song in French, only with piano and voice, which is different from the easy "Elle me dit". He really amazed the French audience with "Un soleil mal luné" as an opening song, because it was audacious and wonderful. He won lot of "respect" and "credibility" for being an amazing singer, doing that. Even the press was impressed ! But it was an audacious choice to make in France and in french-speaking country, not in London, especially with the special situation of his popularity here... But maybe he did that on purpose, as a thumb nose at all this It was his choice... and he did not the same the next day in Manchester, so why only London ? - I don't think the fact he wasn't very chatty and not very well during this gig is only due to his voice problems. He did have voices problems when he did the Nantes gig and he was sooooo chatty, sooooo relaxed, sooooo perfect !! Honestly, it was one of the very best gigs of him I attended to. And even if his voice cracked up sometimes, he felt well. So I'm sure there was something else... - I totally share some of your point of views about the choir. It's an amazing experience for fans and I'm so glad many Mika fans can experience such amazing times, but because of a lack of training and a lack of time, I don't think the choirs I saw really bring something "vocally" speaking. - Sara, I felt the same about he sound and the fact we didn't heard his voice that much in Nantes... And it wasn't only because the voice problem, but it was the same, we couldn't hear him enough on the "fast" songs. I think it was a shame, and I was first row Sometimes, he had to scream. Well, that what I mainly wanted to say. I'm sad that some of you didn't get the gig you were expected, and I'm sad to read some press review as the Evening Standard's one. It must be very hard for Mika to read this kind of reviews I'm sad this gig didn't get the effect it should have : showing the Londoners/UK how amazing Mika is and that it's a waste he's not having the succes he deserves here...
