  1. love love love creature, saw them at the Kool Haus open for Mika. I went out and bought the cd right away. I started dancing the second the music started.....it's so much fun!
  2. think I might just be seeing him at the end of the month in TO, since Kate Nash sold out so quickly! Can't get over his dreads...so funny:naughty:

    feist..

Well I love feist and have for some time. I saw her live at a large festival on Toronto island......amazing! I don't think that her grammy performance was awful...it was stripped down and raw kinda like her live show but with less bells and whistles. So many acts on the grammys have crazy lights...back up dancers and sparkly costumes (see beyonce). Which makes their performance "wonderful" did you happen to catch Kanye....now that was awful, that dude cannot sing. I think her voice was a little scratchy but hey it's not like we have never seen anyone perform with voice issues such as a cold and "hated" it like I don't know...MIKA. I love that someone goes out there with something different from the norm...a different voice, different costume, instruments (tuba?) and impresses (even if it's not everyone) Favorite song is Mushaboom which my sis put on a mixed cd for me 3 years ago and I still love it. Sealion is a great cover song as well. If you like Feist check out Regina Spektor (brilliance)
  4. Fries and mayo is excellent but have you tried poutine (all of my Canadian sisters and brothers will know what I am speaking of) Fries.....cheese curds (picture hard mozza cheese chunks) and gravy. A heart attack on a plate but ohhhhh soooo tasty! Unless you one day find yourself allergic to gluten and cannot have gravy any longer (that was a pity party for myself).
  5. Life gets sooooo much better after highschool......trust me! I hated it too the best part is running into alot of those "popular" people 5 years later...most of them are in dead end jobs and have now become the losers : ) Being popular doesn't take you very far after school
  6. Hello shoppers! I bought the medium at the gig which is my usual size. I DO NOT put it in the dryer and it hasn't shrunk or gone all weird in the boobular area. I like my shirts form fitting though not all bagy. Hope that helps.
  7. The funniest part is that if someone really wanted to have a conversation with him (say if you ran into him in a coffee shop) he would be sooooo less likely to give you anything more that an autograph if you got all crazy fan on him. I totally agree with this thread, have read it, seen it and sometimes can't understand it. I'll give you that he is rather attractive, but I think his music has more pull for me : ) on another note I often think about how uncomfortable it must make him when everyone is asking him for a hug (I don't enjoy hugging strangers....do you?) I could never........ (Sorry if I have insulted the "huggers") anyway that's my opinion
  8. I'm going to take an educated guess here but I gather that Mika is pretty well known and widely played on the radio in the UK. In North America it seems that when a musician becomes very popular and even maybe overplayed the hate comes out. Reviewers and reporters love to dog on the very popular "top 40" musicians (especially if they are a little different from the pack) Such as Mika (in a good way:wink2: ). We don't see stage shows like that in Canada, well atleast not that often so the reviews are pretty much blown away. Maybe this person heard Grace Kelly one to many times on the radio this past week and snapped. She/He obviously went into the show with a negative outlook cause even if you are not a fan of his music there is no way you could say those hurtful and incorrect statements. p.s. The big girls in Toronto didn't cartwheel (atleast not that I could see, although I was dancing alot) I could see how that would be a little over the top. I would be afraid to take out the keyboard myself That is my rant Melanie
  9. I have been running to youtube all night cause we don't get to see the brits in Canada (until a week later or so). I got to see just a fraction of the performance and it was awesome! CONGRATS MIKA...YOU DESERVE IT! I can't wait to see the rest, and your speech! I feel proud to be a Mika fan tonight! Mel
  10. I think for me it is the thought of how long I will have to wait to see him again. Right after the show I felt elated and wanted to see him perform again right away! Coming down from that natural high is tough...I have never felt that way before! Maybe it's something they pump into the building during the show : )
  11. Hello fellow Mika Lovers! I have been a fan of Mika for awhile but I have to say my Passion didn't start until I went to the Toronto show the end of January. I was blown out of the water......literally! I can't get enough music...pictures...interviews, it's crazy! The music is infectious because it makes me increadibly happy! I am excited to meet some new Mika friends and learn all I can about this amazing artist! Melanie aka chema
