  1. Hi! :boing: I am looking for one standing ticket for London tomorrow, friend couldn't get one beforehand! Please PM or reply to this post or email k.a.davie@hotmail.co.uk and I'll keep an eye on this post :pinkbow:

  2. I'm trying to work out a way to compile my thoughts...

i just saw Miri's post on Facebook about the fundraising page above and I was sent into such a state of shock and denial.

I never met Freddie at a Mika gig (he was mainly Freddie to me, though I did have moments of Fravid and such combinations in my mind :naughty:) though I did see him at my first ever one in Newcastle but I was too shy to say hello!

But we did meet at two Erika gigs, the first in our native North East where he and Erika collaborated to try and get me home from Middlesbrough at 2am after one of her gigs. He kindly asked his friends to drop me at the Tyne Tunnel where I was picked up. He was so thoughful and caring.

The second and only other time, after organising a private gig, he nearly got me run over by a motorbike in London by sending me to the wrong pub, but all was forgiven and I remember it as a funny and heartwarming story. :teehee:

I spoke to him many times over twitter and I will always be thankful for his kindness and support. He was taken far too soon but then all the best people are...

Thank you for existing and being here with us, my darling. Rest in Peace, I'll play MIKA loud in memory  Much love:huglove: xxx

  3. Made this little piece yesterday. :D

I used a piece of wood (that kind of piece that is made to look a bit older :naughty: ) we still had laying around. I bought some wooden letters and I colored them in. As a final touch I glued on some golden sequins on the 'golden' letters. I thought it would look like I screwed on some golden nails or something haha. :naughty: But it sparkles and I like that! :)

(The yellow/golden letters do appear a bit orange on the photo's for some reason. They are a bit lighter in real life. <_< )

It's standing on my shelf now, next to my other Mika stuff and it looks really nice and colorful! :D

This looks so good! I'm moving to London soon so I'm tempted to make something like this for my new space.... :teehee:

I actually have some modelling clay lying around... hmm... now that's an idea...  :P

  4. I love this thread! You're making me wanna make things! :boing:

For a 2010 show I made a rocket necklace for Mika out of felt, but I don't have any pics around to show you...  :blush-anim-cl:

Update: I took a proper self portrait of myself wearing this shirt and my old ballet gear and sent it to the official Facebook page. And they uploaded it! So now there is a photo of me (and my homemade shirt) on the official Mika Facebook page

(if anybody wants to go digging around to find me from this, it's in the "M" album with all the M heart merch pictures and I'm the girl in the tutu and pointe shoes  :))

I found you! Looks so good!  :wub2:  I love pointe shoes and ballet in general  :biggrin2:

  5. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone, you all made last Sunday such a spectacular night. One of the best I've ever had. :cheer:   :swoon:

Thank you for sending the flowers to Mika (I'm not sure who did that but THANK YOU!) on behalf of MFC and thanks to Deb for organising the pre-gig meet up and for remembering me :naughty:  :wub2:

Love to all, whether I know you or not, I'm so thankful to be part of this wonderful and joyous place :tears:   :blush-anim-cl:    :huglove:

  6. So if Mika does sing "Hurts", would we just hold the heart up the first time he sings "That's how hearts get hurt"?

I still think I would rather wait until he comes back on for his encore, it would have more impact then.

I agree, to come back on stage to an audience of hearts would be rather spectacular :wub2: Though the Hurts idea is also good :original:

  7. How come you got to see the film earlier than the date it said for release?

In the UK, this weekend they are previewing it.

I was going to see Star Wars again but they had Zoolander on so it was pure chance, I didn't know there were previews but I worked it out. I was the only person in the cinema too :naughty:

Did you see the tiny clip of him with the twirly moustache, posing with Ben in the end montage?

I didn't! I waited till the credits though where I saw him near the end.

I guessed during the film he had been cut.

I wonder why Mika told us he was in it more than what is shown? Wouldn't they have told him that his part wasn't used?

Probably not. The amount of comedians or actors here who have told stories of where they thought they were in a film even for a line then they found out when they went to see it that it was cut is quite common. Look up comedian Jack Whitehall who was supposed to have a line in Frozen :teehee:

I think Rainbow Girl hit the nail on the head, when she said that they probably decided while doing the final cut, they had enough cameos. It has a good 9 or 10 in there.

Even some bogger stars had tiny parts... Ariana Grande spoke about one whole line and then she was gone...

  8. I came on to say that he's credited but not in the film but it seems like you already know

only thing i can think is that they decided the scene was either not relevant enough and they were running over time or that they decide to keep the bigger stars who more people would 'know' as it were... I'm hoping that they keep it for like dvd deleted scenes :original:

  9. I was going to get a Pride flag and stitch 'Love does what it wants' or the french translation 'l'amour fait ce qu'il veut' onto it to hold up during No Place In Heaven (i would assume he would sing it) for next time i saw him but i thought he might've done more UK dates so I don't know whether to do it for London...

  10. I know many of you will be broken-hearted about this announcement, but I am going to have to skip London this time. I had to elbow bishes out of the way to get Adele tickets and then Mika was like OMG I AM GOING TO DO A GIG THE DAY AFTER INGRID GOES TO ADELE AND ONLY LIKE AN HOUR AWAY FROM HER. And I am not going to do 3 gigs in 3 days.

    Stop cheering.

    Stop.

    :tears::crybaby:

I'd like to plan another meet-up, but it's a bit early -- need to get through the holidays first! I'll think on it and revisit the idea sometime after the first of the year. Where is the Palladium? I need to look it up!

If you know where the shop Liberty off Oxford Street is then it's basically opposite there :biggrin2:

Yes, that's the closest tube stop, so we'll see if we can find something in that vicinity. I have an idea already, actually, a place I've been before that's nearby, but like I said, it's a bit too soon. :)

It looks like Bond Street tube stop is also close but I suspect you'd be more likely to find somewhere for a meet up around Oxford Circus. I look forward to hearing what you organise nearer the time & will come along if I can. If not hopefully I'll be able to catch up with you at the theatre again :)

I don't know if it's a viable option but there's the pub we went to for the after party after the Swatch signing? (though if i remember correctly that was booked by Mika not MFC) If there was enough people perhaps we could reserve the basement? :original: but as you said, nearer the time :biggrin2:

and my ticket arrived though now I'm paranoid I'm gonna lose it before June :teehee:

  11. Hi, can someone just clear something up for me? Is the version available on mikasounds.com the french version? Or is that an English version? Already ruled out Italian cos I can get Center of Gravity from itunes...

Basically I want the best versions of the songs (haven't heard beautiful disaster) and dunno if I'm going for a differnet one to something that everyone's talked about...

    Thanks! :flowers2:

  12. oh, i hope i didn't block your view too much with my jumping and filming and taking pix. :blush-anim-cl:

deb, there was a girl from australia at the meetup, she asked for an australian flag (and then decided to draw one with the markers, as i didn't have one), that's why i know. i think she said she lives in the UK (at least atm), but she's from australia, so she wanted to show her flag. ;) don't know her name tho, or if she's even on mfc or was just a +1 of someone else (she was with 2 UK girls).

No of course not! Wonderful to see you, you kept me getting up and dancing! :biggrin2:

I loved the gig. Abby and I were in row C dress circle ( thanks Theresa for the tickets which turned out to be great ;)) Melody had a very tall person in Front of her and so did I, Mika's brother! Although he swapped seats and was then in front of Abby. Yes, the rest of the family were in a box to the side of the stage.

Rosie and I thought we saw Mika's brother arrive but after the show I ended up talking to a guy who looked almost exactly like him so I thought maybe we'd seen him enter instead!

Secondly, I was in purgatory, i.e. the dress circle. NEVER AGAIN! For the first third of the show no-one stood up. I mean, how can you SIT during BG, for goodness sake? Eventually when everyone did get up (forgotten what song it was), they all sat down again at the end of the song leaving just four of us standing, at which point the person behind started 'tut-tutting', so we had to sit again. It was indeed purgatory for me until towards the end of the show when the rest of the dress circle finally discovered that they actually had feet and stood up (especially when I could see lots of people I knew in the stalls having a much better time :(

The Fortune-looking guy I made friends with (as above!) said the same thing! He was also jealous of the people in the stalls :naughty:

I know.  Sometimes I really wish I lived in France, or Italy, or even Korea... :( I really want to read his book, but I don't expect it will be translated to English.

In the Le Divan interview (so thankful for translators on here!) there is mentioned of a 'title in English' so I would've assumed it would be published in English???

  13. Thanks mellody, hopefully we'll get to speak at a future gig :) I think I might have spotted Yasmin too but didn't see Mika's mum this time - where was she? I thought Mika's grandma (like you I assume that's who she was) looked like she was really enjoying the gig :)

Hello! I remember your t shirt from when i came in! Glad you had a great time! :yay:

At the beginning of the gig, Mika's mum was there in the balcony with the others. Andy left after a while, and I think Yasmine wasn't there from the beginning, and not sure if Mrs P was there all the time, also might've left after a few songs. Anyway she looked fab with her hair open. :thumb_yello:

I think you were sitting in front of me! I was next to Rosie in the Dodgy Holiday t shirt :biggrin2:

Wonderful to see so many people! :wub2:
